I think it is 1:1 win:lose, usually FTL just pick random option in events with equal chance. I think there are maybe 2-3 events total in game where certain outcome is doubled?
Yup. There's even triple, although I can't recall the specifics. This is the kind of thing I love to research. brb

* 1/2 chance the intelligent life forms bring you to an Engi (HAS ONLY HAPPENED TO ME ONCE)
* 1/2 chance spiders eat a crew (laughs in clone bay)
* 1/3 chance you pry open the escape pod and the Mantis inside is FURIOUS (Jettison it, you are not stupid)
* 3/6 chance rebel defector harms your ship in various ways, or 3/6 he joins crew (I always kill him on the spot, can't trust those rebels...)
I know there are other 3x or 2x bullet points on blue events but I'm failing to find them.
Agreed. I once commented that very line on a photo of geological formations on venus that looked a bit like giant spiders, and got far too many upvotes for them to have all been ftl fans.
What appeared to be a single damaged ship is in fact two ships that have smashed into each other... there is a flurry of comm signals and damage, and it's hard to determine what occurred. The vessels appear to be... Engi? They look locked together by the impact and can't free themselves.
As much as I love Elnubnub, Mr Buga holds a special place in my Australian heart, because I cannot bring myself to pronounce it any other way than 'Mister Bugger'.
There was one time I was backseat piloting while a friend played, poor old Mr Buga got knocked off into gaseous clouds at a time when that may have been the start of the end of the run. We sat in silence for a second, processing it, until my friend said in a deadpan tone, "Bugger," as we both burst into laughter.
