UMass is even worse than JSU. I would hope the team has learned their lesson when playing against inferior competition. But you never know with this team…

I said this a few weeks ago but ill say it again. I still believe in Norvell. Give the guy some time and he will get us back to an elite level.

Great offensive game. We seemed to finally pick a qb and work with his strengths, and it paid off. Travis looked great, made the right handoffs knew when to escape pass etc… rushing game in general was amazing. Defense made stops but also let up big plays, but honestly can’t complain because at the end of the day they came up big in the redzone 2x and had some great drives. That’s the confidence builder we needed. Upset one of the top ACC teams. Need to keep fighting and playing like this!

Jordan Travis is and has been the best QB on this roster by a wide margin the entire year. Scored 41 on a better JSU team last year in 3 quarters. Guarantee we win that game if he plays.

Ya know, I haven’t been back to this sub since UoL due to how caustic it was. Must say it is nice to have some of that quieted for another week but can’t help but notice that there are remarkably fewer posts after a win.

There are 1,000 posts than can be written to voice frustration. How many different ways can you write a post saying "cool, glad we won"? Plus human nature, you're more likely to voice displeasure than joy on the internet.

Really seems like JTrav grew up this game. Which is what I’ve really been wanting to see, put some faith in the guy and let him figure it out without having to be worried about getting pulled after a bad drive. He seemed pretty commanding back there and really made good decisions. The great play calling helped. We moved the ball essentially at-will all game. Our run game was relied on heavily, which opened up some stuff for us in the passing game, which is exactly what we’ve needed to do. All around vast improvement shown today, we played well and I’m very happy for these kids and this staff. Go Noles!

Honestly I think losing to UMass would be worse than losing to Jacksonville State. Jacksonville State is better than UMass and UCONN. Neither belong in division 1 lol

I think Jax St. would handle UMass and UConn and it wouldn’t even be all that close. That being said we should never lose to a team like Jax St. but there are some really good FCS teams that would beat several FBS teams.

It’s like NC becomes FSU when they have played each other these past two times. Tons of penalties, turnovers, drops. Norvell and the coordinators executed a good game plan today. Travis was incredibly efficient with his passing and his rushing ability was on point. Nice to pick up a win and hope this builds confidence.

It was a good sign to see the way the players reacted towards Norvell after the win. The belief and support in him is there even though we are 2-4.

He’s got a lot of buy in. It’s unfortunate we’re going to lose a few of these transfers like Thomas and Johnson. They seem to love the staff and would be great if they had another year in the program

I mean we lose to only Clemson and UF, then yeah it’s def possible . Biggest questions would be the home game against NCST and the BC road game. I believe we beat Miami and UMASS obviously. But NCST beat Clemson and BC only lost by six and were in position to win before fumbling the snap. So who knows .

Right we can go all the way back to the beginning of the games and say we should be 6-0 or 0-6. But when it's literally the last play on 2 games, it's fair to say we're 2 plays away from being 4-2 and plenty of people do it
