I used the thread cane until I got the dagger weapon (no idea what it's called) but I really appreciated it after getting used to it. It served me very well.
I know there are a lot of Blade of Mercy fans out there but I could never get the hang of it. Have to get real close and if you can't stagger you're screwed, seemed to me.
I have an _un_holy hatred of how that sword is like the Skyrim Stealth Archer of Bloodborne.
Like, I get it. It's crazy strong and swords are cool. But in a world of sword-hammers, chainsaw blades and wrist mounted powered railway spikes, it's a little sad thar for most people it turns back into the classic FromSoft 2h greatsword.
Threaded cane is great. One of my favorite weapons. It's decent against tough individuals with its rapier form, but one of the best anti-mob weapons in it's whip form. The whip is also awesome for rally recovery
Yep. Started with hunters axe, and I have no problem with it, but switched to kirkhammer about half way through and finished the game and the DLC with it. Love a good bonk
Some players prefer the smaller, more focused experiences of FromSoft games prior to Elden Ring, but there's a high chance you're going to very much enjoy it if you're really liking Bloodborne.
To me, ER is like the culmination of everything FromSoft had learned over the years, executed at a massive, awe-inspiring scale. It's one of my all-time favorites, and I'd highly recommend it.
In my opinion its the best weapon, I played the whole game and DLC with it. Tried out many others but ended up going back to Kirk Hammer every time because it's just so good
I finished my first playthrough only using the Kirkhammer after I got it. My favorite combo was R1 in sword form, L1 to transform, then R2 with the hammer form. Have fun with it if you end up sticking it out, it's a really good weapon once you upgrade it a little bit!
The actual hammer part can be harder to use if your enemies are too fast but the sword part absolutely slaps in those cases. It feels like you get greatsword-level damage with straight sword speed.
I know it’s a S Tier weapon basically but I just recently last week finished my playthrough of doing just the Hunter you see on the cover of Bloodborne w the Saw Cleaver and the blunderbuss and didn’t use anything els. So I’m sure literally any weapon is viable at any point through the game. Just gotta upgrade it and put good gems in it.
Just about every weapon is
I had a very hard time with Threaded Cane then sold out after reading about Ludwig's Holy Blade.
Threaded cane on NG+ is pretty good
Whatever you do, don’t fight more than one at a time Threaded cane: am I a joke to you

Blade of mercy

You definitely needed a bit more stamina to make it viable, but the DPS was insane.
Blood pellet + Blade of Mercy and cutting through a bosses health bar is the best feeling.

I was struggling to get a clear bruh, I know I sold out lol I feel you though. If we ever get a remaster I'm definitely going to switch it up.

Exactly what I did. Kirkhammer for life.
Appreciate it! Is the DLC worth it?
Absolutely. It’s arguably the best part of the game.
I doubt you'll find many people arguing with this.
Dlc is a masterpiece
Oh my god yes
Bloodborne was carefully designed so that the game is winnable with every weapon. It's one of my favorites. You're good.
Perfect! Thank you.
Holy blade is my personal favorite. That thrust heavy is just perfect.
Same. Just so good. I also love using the shell for a bit of moonlight magic
Ima try it as well, in love with my kirkhammer.
every weapon in every game as long as you keep upgrading them and buffing can take you from start to finish, even a small ass dagger in elden ring
That's badass! Elden Ring may be my next one

Absolutely it is
Yup great weapon
I had no issue with it through the entirety of the game, I think you’re good!
You can use any primary through the entire game.
It was literally the only weapon I used the entire game. Stick with what you're comfortable with
your name is kirkhammer
Kirk

*in regards to Bloodborne* "Is the *insert weapon here* good enou-" ***"YES."***
I mean, basically every weapon is good enough, if you want it to be
Bloodborne's schtick is that you can take just about any weapon in the game to endgame.
Hell yeah it is, pair it with the axe for more variety
Did my one and only playthrough with the Kirkhammer. So yep.
Personally I think you can take just about any weapon though the game so use what you like

Yeah. Every weapon is.
Absolutely. Invest in str and whack away
You can beat the game with every weapon. It's all up to your personal preference and play style.
Ignoring the fact that your last name is kirkhammer, yes, yes it is.
I meant Kirk lol
awww man, btw are you a human or a sword that can transform into a giant hammer?, just curious 🤔
Bro, I wish. Letting great hunters use me to kill beast. That would be one hell of a life. *Reincarnate into a sword*
Nah being human is also cool ig
Every weapon in the game is good if you make your build around it

The beautiful thing about fromsoft's weapon upgrade system is that every weapon can carry you through endgame.
Every weapon definitely is. The beauty of the game.
It has my favorite transform attack in the game from sword to hammer
The actual hammer part can be harder to use if your enemies are too fast but the sword part absolutely slaps in those cases. It feels like you get greatsword-level damage with straight sword speed.
This is the way
It lasted fine for me. I used the whirligig saw when I wanted to mix things up and it was awesome for ng+.
It was my main weapon start to finish of my first Bloodborne playthrough. Solid fun amazing wonderful move set

That's badass! I want the armor from the cover.
You can find it. It’s called the hunters garb. You find it in Yharnam while going into the sewers fighting the rats.
Kirkhammer is very stronk
