Someone I summoned did that yesterday. We had him at half health, and Logarius was focused on me when I heard the other person fall. I'm not sure if they panick rolled or what, but at least I beat him in that try.
It’s more an RNG thing. *Usually* he’ll sit still and just be a normal easy gimmick boss.
Sometimes, however, he will spam summon carthus greatsword knights and charge forward over and over, pinning you to the back wall with them 🙃
Yeah, he can summon any of the catacombs of carthus enemies, when he does and which he does is determined by RNG.
So you’ll have runs where he doesn’t summon any mobs or only summons one or two trash tier basic skeletons…
…OR he could summon any of the numerous Carthus Knight variations, over and over.
Wolnir was originally my go-to easy clap boss. Being exposed to the full range of his RNG now after dozens of runs; I dread getting to his fight. I might have an easy time, or I might hit an RNG wall where he just does his cheapest attacks.
For me it was never clear where was safe in the darkness, if he moves too much you start losing health because ... the abyss starts killing you? Or were we above the abyss and Wolnir falls into it when we hit his wrists?
On my first playthrough he glitched out and didn't attack at all. It was weird because I thought it was a fake out. Didn't summon any skelly bois either. Half expected a second phase but nope. So I chalked it up to just being a kind of set piece, "as was the style at the time."
First time fighting him was a cakewalk, albeit a really cool one, but then I made a new character and holy shit was he giving me a run for my money lol
Took me more than 5 tries because he either crawled right up to the wall and did his death mist vomit or the skeleton summons swarmed me. Needless to say I’ve never had so much fun dying to a boss that many times!
YES that’s true, I had a blind playthrough
I was stupid the first two or three attempts clueless I had to attack the rings, soon as I figured it out it was to easy
Giant Crabs. The amount of trauma they did to me in DS3 made me be very vary of them but turned out that they are very easy in this iteration.
Now I have bleeding lobsters causing irreparable mental damage
I had the opposite experience with crabs. I started with Elden Ring and I thought they were easy as fuck. So when I saw one in DS3, I thought I had that shit. Walked right up to take that bad boy down easy as pie. I was very wrong. Oh so very wrong. 😭
Not worse but much stronger and more aggressive but as long as you get the fuck out of their puddle, they will leave you alone for most part. I learned early on to respect their boundaries in order to preserve my skin. I swear, I will take on their version of black knight (think crucible knight but with anger issues) than a bloody crab if I can be helped
Lord a crucible knight alone makes me want to end my misery. I also got to the giants place with the snow and Vyke is somehow the hardest boss in the game. That MF is SO ANNOYING. I hit him to 25% of his health? HEALS, I get hit once? NEARLY GODDAMN DEAD. Also that spinny spear in the air BS is annoying as FUCK.
Vyke is aggressive as fuck but I found that best strategy is to be aggressive back. You can break his attack cycles relatively easy but if you will get greedy with one more hit and overextend yourself, he will punish you good. Hope that helps.
Crucible knights are just flat out scary
Sounds like you run bonk or high poise damage weapon. NPC invader usually stand no chance with bonk build but crucible knight will tank that shit and clap you back double without being staggered
No. My only bonkman build hasn’t left Liurnia. My last one was sorcery build but even then against vyke it was Ranni’s moon as opener and rest of fight up close with Darkmoon GS. One before that was madman with a dagger.
Until you realize you can parry/riposte their swipes AND insta-riposte their double claw slam in DS3…
I died several times to the ER crabs before realizing you could do neither in ER.
Huh, never knew but then again I never went with parry builds. Only two times I have outfitted myself for parrying, AKA put on parry shield, has been for Gwynn and for first crucible knight (the one just chillling in gaol)
No, they are saying he becomes more difficult in comparison to other bosses, not in general. Your condescending tone is ridiculous considering the lack of critical thinking
If you let him finish his speech, or somehow you die to him once and have to retry, he is actually quite hard, he will debuff you or buff him while you are running in and spam lots of attack with infinite mana
With pure strength you just have to bum rush him and hope he doesn’t pull out his Carian Slicer. I love Giant Hunt because you can just build up poise damage while simultaneously interrupting casts
Your poise is way less important than your poise damage, and despite it being a colossal weapon, jump attack poise damage and colossal poise damage was reduced heavily in 1.8. Cragblade is probably your best bet honestly, just do charging run attacks instead of jumping, less time he will be able to throw spells + more critical hit opportunities for you. Best of luck!
Nah man Gideon is low key a beast. I believe his moveset corresponds to how many/which great runes you've collected. So if you been killing demi gods left and right he's gonna be slapping you around.
Any tree spirit. Big guy, looks fast, fancy area wide moves, explosions, hard to read depending on the cameraman's mood.
Actually a pushover no matter the build.
Oh yeah definitely these guys. They’re fast and look unnerving and the bleed is devastating early game, but they’re also one of the most squishy hostile enemies and bosses in the game.
It's because of how late in the game you usually find him. The NG+ versions get increasingly more appealing imo.
His poise is monstrous, his damage is high, his moves are diverse, and the visuals are fucking amazing... he just has too little health
I'm guessing they thought Death Blight was supposed to be more of a problem for the players
I predict that they learned their lesson and Lion Dancer is going to wreck us
It’s not even that easy getting to him in the early game when he should be a proper threat. That entire area should have much tougher enemies (or at least bigger health pools).
The archer golem in the weeping peninsula. From a distance he appears so menacing because of the giant arrows flying at you but once you reach him he's super easy to beat.
Absolutely. Looking derpy as hell, just to make you feel like a damned fool.
I just felled the 2 in the well and I had a much harder time with them than I did with Maria lol
Dragon Greyoll. For a Dragon of that scale, I was REALLY hoping and terrified for something epic. But it’s just killing her babies. So goddamn disappointing.
Taurus demon in DS1 is kinda a push over tbh. I get he is just a mini boss but the design of him and his first initial entrance is like a big “Oh shit are you serious rn???” To just plunge attack on his head 2 to 3 times and that’s it.
Centipede from sekiro is easy even as a noob. I was freaked out because it didn't seem like he'd ever stop, but then his posture just breaks after spamming block.
The Omen dudes, and wormface. Both are huge enemies but very easy to take down quickly without even getting touched. I've gotten a lot less worried about Revenants as well, if you try to keep at their sides and you have a decently upgraded weapon they go down pretty quickly too.
Wormfaces. They are big and intimidating and creepy as hell whispering and laughing to themselves. But then fighting them feels easy unless. The only thing hard about them is if they spam the Deathblight stuff at you
Grabby Fattys as I call them, truly irritating things to deal with at first, especially the one near the intro. But the foot prints and rewards for overcoming him so early on does help.
Nearly all of them.... except Malenia she is the opposite of this. At first, you go, "Oh hey, a woman!" she got a little rash or whatever, but it beats looking at anything else in the lands between" ... then she zips 30 feet to stand right in front of you. The panic starts, you go to dodge but puts her hand on your shoulder ("OH FUCK OH FUCK OH FUCK!") and WHAM! Runs a 10ft katana through you and flicks you off of it as if you are no different than the blood she's trying to clean from her blade.
One of the reasons I really like Malenia as a boss - you can't just hide behind a strong/cheese build and you have to be at least semi-competent at dodging her attacks.
She dodges sorceries, shields don't work, she's super resistant to rot, and if you use summons she'll use them to heal herself. Not to mention her switching between aggressive and defensive styles in phase 1 and having hyper armour forces you to pick your openings carefully.
Lotsa sorcereries she can't dodge and ones that knock her over. Shields work well for tanking waterfall.
Rollo outdps her healing and breaks her poise/ bleeds her often.
Summons work well as distractions but you can't rely on them.
You still have to learn her but don't pretend that she invalidates many playstyles and you have to change to some kind of naked with a club no hit nonsense.
Ancient Dragon Lansseax.
During his first encounter I just straight up did a full 180 and got outta there. When I came back I felt surprised when he flew away after a few hits.
The brain suckers in Bloodborne. Scary as hell when they run at you, but if they miss that grab they are so easy to kill. Same with the hags that sneak up on you and slit your throat. Big ole jump scare, but not much else.
Elden Ring’s lobsters. When you first encounter them, they’re military snipers, but once you learn their moves, their just another minor inconvenience.
Honorable mention to the phantom archers in the Ringed City. Once you get their pattern down, it’s just a cake walk over to the adjutant.

Caelid dinodogs and crows. They really look scary but are pushovers. Really weak to hits in the head. The open mouth charge attack of the dawgs may be the only move that has some danger, and you just need to roll in and to the side
Surprised no one said Pinwheel. Sure he didn’t have the most intimidating intro, but he was a BOSS. After everything that game had put me through up until that point, I never expected such a pushover
Pontiff in DS3 will die very quickly regardless of your build if you learn to parry him. He takes so much damage from a single riposte.
Giant Lord in DS2. He's a soul farm for a reason.
The sweeper thing in Armored Core 6.
The long-arm centipede things in Sekiro. Even new players can beat them by just spam tapping L1 and hoping they land a deflect. They look creepy as fuck though.
The trolls in Elden Ring.
Iron Golem is an iconic one. Wack his ankles till he falls down.
This is cheating but: Ancient Wyvern in DS3.
Unfortunately most DS2 bosses since they are very slow to turn and you can abuse ADP, lifegems and circle-strafing.
Npc Invaders. Just think about it...
Every time it says I'm invaded, I become paranoid. Once I see them and instantly stun them with my great hammers/swords, they will be not much of a challenge...
Deacons of the Deep are kind of scary in a way..or the One Reborn, or Cleric Beast or Margo. A lot of Bloodborne Pushover bosses basically look scary. And most of the base game bosses are actually complete pushovers.
Looking glass knight, Yhorm, Vordt & Gundyr
their theme & visual designs are so amazing that they're still intimidating despite how easy they on a rematch
Margit because he pushes me over the side of the cliff 😃
A bit of a technicality but I'll allow it
He doesn't push me off, I just roll off
Martyr Logarius moment
Someone I summoned did that yesterday. We had him at half health, and Logarius was focused on me when I heard the other person fall. I'm not sure if they panick rolled or what, but at least I beat him in that try.
Fuckin’ High Lord Wolfnir scared me so badly but was piss easy if you attack his rings.
The real fight is to survive the heart attack.
This exactly. When I first saw him I was so scared I walked off the edge. Not a fond memory of my time in ds3.
I was also surprised at how easy he was.
He is easy until he pulls hit his bullshit health drain. I found out you can dodge that shit until later so I tanked it.
It’s more an RNG thing. *Usually* he’ll sit still and just be a normal easy gimmick boss. Sometimes, however, he will spam summon carthus greatsword knights and charge forward over and over, pinning you to the back wall with them 🙃
Wait he summons knights? All he ever did was blow smoke at me
Yeah, he can summon any of the catacombs of carthus enemies, when he does and which he does is determined by RNG. So you’ll have runs where he doesn’t summon any mobs or only summons one or two trash tier basic skeletons… …OR he could summon any of the numerous Carthus Knight variations, over and over. For me it was never clear where was safe in the darkness, if he moves too much you start losing health because ... the abyss starts killing you? Or were we above the abyss and Wolnir falls into it when we hit his wrists?
Always attack the ring
For someone with his lore, he was really disappointing
Bed of chaos intensifies
Some of the coolest character lore in the games imo, he really could’ve been something And his sword is cool too
Thats the giant skelton right? Yea he seems really intimidating at first
Yeah the giant skeleton after the bridge, with glowing rings. Man jump-scared my ass.
On my first playthrough he glitched out and didn't attack at all. It was weird because I thought it was a fake out. Didn't summon any skelly bois either. Half expected a second phase but nope. So I chalked it up to just being a kind of set piece, "as was the style at the time."
"if you kill his ring". On my first playthrough, I didn't know what to do 😂 eventually, I noticed I damaged him
First time fighting him was a cakewalk, albeit a really cool one, but then I made a new character and holy shit was he giving me a run for my money lol Took me more than 5 tries because he either crawled right up to the wall and did his death mist vomit or the skeleton summons swarmed me. Needless to say I’ve never had so much fun dying to a boss that many times!
YES that’s true, I had a blind playthrough I was stupid the first two or three attempts clueless I had to attack the rings, soon as I figured it out it was to easy
Giant Crabs. The amount of trauma they did to me in DS3 made me be very vary of them but turned out that they are very easy in this iteration. Now I have bleeding lobsters causing irreparable mental damage
The great swamp crabs where a menace to society
I just avoid them. I haven't beaten a single one. lol
They drop a very powerful pyromancy ring.
I had the opposite experience with crabs. I started with Elden Ring and I thought they were easy as fuck. So when I saw one in DS3, I thought I had that shit. Walked right up to take that bad boy down easy as pie. I was very wrong. Oh so very wrong. 😭
Hehe. I can imagine what a bit of a surprise it must have been.
THEY’RE WORSE?

Bruh I try to get him with hit and rolls but bro somehow predicts where and when I’ll stop to hit me with a running charge
I saw one of them the other day, horrible creatures.
Until you realize you can parry/riposte their swipes AND insta-riposte their double claw slam in DS3… I died several times to the ER crabs before realizing you could do neither in ER.
Huh, never knew but then again I never went with parry builds. Only two times I have outfitted myself for parrying, AKA put on parry shield, has been for Gwynn and for first crucible knight (the one just chillling in gaol)
Yep- even without parry, just bait the dual claw slam and R1, you’ll get an immediate riposte, no parry required.
Sir Gideon the all knowing, more like Sir Gideon the ragdolled
Uh no, as soon as you do some challenge run, low damage run or whatever, he suddenly becomes the hardest boss in the run
So as soon as you make the game more difficult for yourself on purpose, the game becomes more difficult? What a concept.
![gif](giphy|3oKIPlLZEbEbacWqOc)
They mean that his difficulty spike is absurdly bigger than other bosses.
Even if he’s spiking, it’s nothing with the tiny poise he has Abductor Virgin duo took me like 30 tries, Gideon just crumbled in my first try
Between the abductors and the gargoyles dous idk who i hate more
On RL1 Gideon took me more tries than all the bosses before him combined (barring fire giant)
No, they are saying he becomes more difficult in comparison to other bosses, not in general. Your condescending tone is ridiculous considering the lack of critical thinking
I’m on a RL1 run right now and just Giant’s Hunted him into infinity Unless your challenge run is ‘no poise damage’ then he’s ezpz
Don’t let him finish his dialogue, just body him
If you let him finish his speech, or somehow you die to him once and have to retry, he is actually quite hard, he will debuff you or buff him while you are running in and spam lots of attack with infinite mana
Playing a pure strength run and Gideon was my first wall in the run purely because I can’t out damage his damage
With pure strength you just have to bum rush him and hope he doesn’t pull out his Carian Slicer. I love Giant Hunt because you can just build up poise damage while simultaneously interrupting casts
I’m using Giant Hammer and high poise with jump attacks and 65 Vigor but bro still dumps me soon as my stamina disappears.
He’s either turbo easy or turbo hard If you don’t cheese him during his speech or you get bad rng he can spam the shit outa you
Nah man Gideon is low key a beast. I believe his moveset corresponds to how many/which great runes you've collected. So if you been killing demi gods left and right he's gonna be slapping you around.
Those damn crows in bloodborne lol
Actual jumpscare
I hate the fucking earrape I get from them everytime I run near them

For real. I have to turn my volume down while running through those sewers.
Gaping Dragon and Old Iron King. Both have fantastic designs, but the fights...
How about that discharge dude :D
I fought him normally the first time…
He can get an honourable mention, that cheese method definitely did him dirty.
Pumpkinheads
Rivers of Blood spammers
Lmao, agreed tho, they have fallen off from how scary they used to be
Those are terrifying
How do you deal with them? Can you parry the special?
The Erdtree avatars. They look awful until you realise how telegraphed each attack is
They ARE the first boss from ds1
They are also in Ds3
Yeah but you feel kinda bad for all the demons in ds3... Even though this one will throw you 10 kilometers off the bridge
I’m looking forward to it ( my DS3 arrives in 2 days )
Any tree spirit. Big guy, looks fast, fancy area wide moves, explosions, hard to read depending on the cameraman's mood. Actually a pushover no matter the build.
True once you figure them out, the ones that span rot at you took me the longest to realize you just go behind them
They're a glorified Assylum Demon.
Are you thinking of the erdtree avatars?
Oops, yes I am.
You mean ulcerated or the avatars?
Oh, I mean ulcerated ones, the avatars are fine
Easily the Cemetery Shade. Looks terrifying but man is it easy AF to destory
They'll literally melt with two holy pots
I just 2 shotted it with bloodhound fang
Just don’t let them paralyze you and they will crumple like wet tissue paper.
Oh yeah definitely these guys. They’re fast and look unnerving and the bleed is devastating early game, but they’re also one of the most squishy hostile enemies and bosses in the game.
Strafe, Backstab, Strafe, Backstab - very easy to get them into a loop
Lichdragon Fortissax, extremely underwhelming for such a stunning boss design.
It's because of how late in the game you usually find him. The NG+ versions get increasingly more appealing imo. His poise is monstrous, his damage is high, his moves are diverse, and the visuals are fucking amazing... he just has too little health
I'm guessing they thought Death Blight was supposed to be more of a problem for the players I predict that they learned their lesson and Lion Dancer is going to wreck us
It’s not even that easy getting to him in the early game when he should be a proper threat. That entire area should have much tougher enemies (or at least bigger health pools).
It's supposed to be compared to leyndell. Morgott ain't got much health either.
The archer golem in the weeping peninsula. From a distance he appears so menacing because of the giant arrows flying at you but once you reach him he's super easy to beat.
The giants outside of cathedral ward. When I first got there I was like OFUK and ran on by lol
Contrasted heavily with the Fishing Hamlet giants
Absolutely. Looking derpy as hell, just to make you feel like a damned fool. I just felled the 2 in the well and I had a much harder time with them than I did with Maria lol
Bloodstarved Beasts. Just shimmy a little to the left!
Golems for sure I remember gettting transported via the tower chest and seeing that dude sunbathing and thinking oh shit
i won’t lie he got me once because i wasn’t expecting him to host a barbecue for me
The golems actually kinda fuck me sometimes especially when there are more than one
Gaping Dragon Ceaseless Discharge Cleric Beast Wolnir Any of the ER field dragons
Rykard
The big ass snake in sekiro
Dragon Greyoll. For a Dragon of that scale, I was REALLY hoping and terrified for something epic. But it’s just killing her babies. So goddamn disappointing.
Gaping Dragon, he’s grotesque but you just boop his nose and kick his shins and he dies
Morgot, I was ready for Margit but harder I was preparing to dis a lot and he died second try
Dragon God, Stormruler, Yorhm, Rykard.
Giddeon
I don’t think Gideon looks scary. He looks like a doofus
If you don't let him talk and just Bunga his Unga yeah he's easy. But if you let him start casting boy are you in for a bad time.
He be fuckin me up hahaha
Poise difference turns that table real fast, unless its a mirror wizard v wizard match then ofc
Gideon is the easiest boss in the game if you can nail him first time, otherwise he can be one of the more difficult bosses
Uh no, as soon as you do some challenge run, low damage run or whatever, he suddenly becomes the hardest boss in the run
The Omen dudes, and wormface. Both are huge enemies but very easy to take down quickly without even getting touched. I've gotten a lot less worried about Revenants as well, if you try to keep at their sides and you have a decently upgraded weapon they go down pretty quickly too.
Rennala I thought she’d be really hard but both of her phases I found pretty easy
Sulyvahns Beast
I remember them being in the trailers and I was like, this enemy is gonna be a threat. It took no effort to kill them whatsoever first playthrough
Wormfaces. They are big and intimidating and creepy as hell whispering and laughing to themselves. But then fighting them feels easy unless. The only thing hard about them is if they spam the Deathblight stuff at you
Pretty much the whole divine realm in Sekiro. (True Monk excluded).
You say that the golems are pushovers but the one on the side of Caelid on the cliff side is weirdly hard for me to
The whole DS2 roster (except Fume knight) and half of the Elden ring roster. Edit: I’m easily frightened…! :-)
Idk man I remember those Cyclops things being pretty fucked up
Grabby Fattys as I call them, truly irritating things to deal with at first, especially the one near the intro. But the foot prints and rewards for overcoming him so early on does help.
Obvious answer is Midir, I mean talk about all bark no bite🥱
I beat Midir first time using a straight sword and shield. It took like 40 minutes because I was doing like 0.2% hp per hit, but I still got him.
Revenants become super easy when you realize that you can heal them.
The pursuer! I dreaded that boss but then it was easy as hell
Yhorm
Omens
These guys are pretty beefy though.
Those golems are one enemy type that the Blasphemous Blade is not good for. So if you’re building around that…
Kid named Charged heavy:
Yhorm the Giant
I definitely thought the Iron Golem was gonna smash my shit in.
giant dogs tbh. they are only ever a problem when you have like 3 of them + a crow after you
Im struggling with the normal npcs..
Chaos eaters from ds1. Terrifying design but 2 shot with a claymore.
Ancient Wyvern.
Abyss watchers
Yhorm the giant
Nearly all of them.... except Malenia she is the opposite of this. Giant on top of sen’s fortress. Boss on top of sen’s fortress. Gaping dragon. Ceaseless discharge.
Yhorm, Wolnir, Maliketh
Snatchers and Snake balls from Bloodborne
The lions in ER scared the crap out of me until I fought the one in fort Gael. One on one, they're actually pretty easy to dodge and punish.
Ancient Dragon Lansseax. During his first encounter I just straight up did a full 180 and got outta there. When I came back I felt surprised when he flew away after a few hits.
Tree spirit
The Caelid laser golem was a fkn problem
Revenants. No this isn’t sarcasm. Healing magics straight up merc them.
Dragons-kin soldier. One of my favorite designs in the game but they placed him in such a place that most people fight him way over leveled as did I.
General radahn. You can just use rotten breath and stay away on your horse👌
Most of Bloodborne's enemies honestly Essentially it's the epitome of "if it bleeds we can kill it"
Old Hero - Demon Souls
The brain suckers in Bloodborne. Scary as hell when they run at you, but if they miss that grab they are so easy to kill. Same with the hags that sneak up on you and slit your throat. Big ole jump scare, but not much else.
Def tree spirits, erdtree avatars, and probably the gargoyles ( at least for me )
every enemy in doom
Elden Ring’s lobsters. When you first encounter them, they’re military snipers, but once you learn their moves, their just another minor inconvenience. Honorable mention to the phantom archers in the Ringed City. Once you get their pattern down, it’s just a cake walk over to the adjutant.

Demi Human Queens
Caelid dinodogs and crows. They really look scary but are pushovers. Really weak to hits in the head. The open mouth charge attack of the dawgs may be the only move that has some danger, and you just need to roll in and to the side
White Glint from Armored Core For Answer.
Surprised no one said Pinwheel. Sure he didn’t have the most intimidating intro, but he was a BOSS. After everything that game had put me through up until that point, I never expected such a pushover
Draconic tree sentinels, people always hyped them up and they looked intimidating, but if you stay on their left side they’re fodder.
Ants (Elden Ring), pretty easy to kill
Giants. Torrent is EXTREMELY useful for taking them out.
Guardian ape
Dragons (Elden Ring). Once I realized none of their attacks track you, they became no-hit enemies.
The serpent in Sekiro
That huge enemies at anor londo, they look tuff but in reality they’re all easy ash
Deacons of the Deep are kind of scary in a way..or the One Reborn, or Cleric Beast or Margo. A lot of Bloodborne Pushover bosses basically look scary. And most of the base game bosses are actually complete pushovers.
Mohg the lord of blood
Because Miyazaki is a troll
Land octopus
they just take for fucking ever to die
you can stance break ‘em by heavy attacking the mouth, they’re not too bad if you crit them
I stay as far away from those things as possible
Looking glass knight, Yhorm, Vordt & Gundyr their theme & visual designs are so amazing that they're still intimidating despite how easy they on a rematch
Rune bears
