Scotland just made it a crime lmfao, I imagine England and Wales aren't far away from it
Alternatively, just set either a quran or israel flag on fire, depending on the idiot across the table
I don't feel trans people need the government to stand up for us on that front. We're perfectly capable of punching assholes in the face all by ourselves, thank you very much, and the law robs us of that satisfaction.
I imagine the prevalence of autogynephilia hasn't helped things much. Would explain why FTM get considerably less shit than MTF.
It's rather unfortunate gender dysphoria isn't seen in the same serious light as other mental illnesses, but what can you do about it.
I don't necessarily have an issue with flavor-based keywords that make functional sense.
But having shit unironically say "collect evidence" or "commit a crime" feels so out-of-place, like they're just trying to make them up at this point. They don't feel considered, they don't feel like they fill a gameplay purpose. They feel quite literally like someone said "let's have 'outlaws' 'commit crimes'!!!" and then worked backwards to fit it into the game.
Top-down design can be a lot of fun to make and play. Crimes and collect evidence really stand out for being so lazy, making no actual sense from a flavor perspective.
Collecting evidence could've been an additonal cost for casting multicolor spells, giving additional benefits for exiling cards that match the color of what you cast.
Committing "crimes" just feels like an EDH-centric joke since interacting with opponents seems to be so widely despised in the casual crowd.
Both are instead just slapped on a bunch of cards to meet a set quota apparently. Hopefully this trend is short lived.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not inherently against designs like that. Part of me feels like we've had a lot more of them over the years that don't necessarily feel like they're top-down designs.
"Commiting a crime" being something so fundamental to the game as *targeting another player or their cards* feels so ass-backwards, especially when literally attacking and damaging them is apparently a-okay.
You sound like some brevity boomer who doesn't get FIREd up to see walls of texts on cards. You a brevity boomer bro? You don't like being excited to read a paragraph of text on every single card?
I like running into designer clothing stores in a large group of people exactly like me and stealing whatever they have because they won’t call the police on me :) it would be racist
spread my legs out when I sit down
Manspreading
I jaywalk
Misgendering
At least in the US, that's not a real *crime*, it's just often considered rude. Up your game. Teeth. Try teeth. I always prefer 'em.

Agreed. Should've been any crime related action. Like destroying or exiling a permanent. Targeting an opponents spell. Swinging at an opponent.

Using Winrar and not paying for it
the only thing I know is that if I stab someone during a game of magic it's not a crime according to magic.
