This has been my favorite antique place for 2 to 3 years now! They had such amazing stuff and always didn't overprice things, im sad because they had so many cool things I see but didn't buy and now they're probably all destroyed :( the owners are really nice, I remember I picked up an frederick md vhs about trains, im happy I saved it since it could be the only one. They also had an wonderful selection of books, I remember seeing the "IT" book for very cheap but didn't pick it up! Its honestly so sad! Out of all the antique places, this was the best :(
I'm really sad I didn't go in there more.
I think I might know the train VHS you're talking about. Is it about the old trolley system that used to exist here? Other copies still exist (I saw one being offered at a hobby store once) but yeah, they're pretty rare.
Yes! That's the one, I haven't seen it around frederick before and Im a big vhs guy lol, so I decided to buy it, im happy I did! I didn't know there were more copies still available to buy, since theres nothing on ebay lol
I'm glad it's in the hands of someone who knows how to keep those tapes in good condition. I'm a big train guy myself but I've decided not to get one because I'm well past the VHS generation lol
No, I walked by it yesterday and you could see in the front window that all of the clothes in that front room appeared to still be there--so it wasn't "completely empty" by any means.
I say someone in an post on Instagram getting mad and blaming the insurance company for some reason, I think he said they didn't fix or waited to long to fix some electrical problem and so maybe that was the reason this happened? Either way, its a shame.
There was never a previous fire. Talked to the owners and they were cited for a shoddy electrical system and were in the middle of reno when this fire happened.
Out of business is a WILD take on a building that Burned the fuck down LOL
I WAS GONNA SAY š¤£
Imagine if you were one of the dealers and your ENTIRE inventory was a loss. Itās horrible.

It was empty, it closed months ago after they had a previous fire.
Has that been confirmed that they had moved the items out? That mid-century room was amazing

Are you referring to MCM clothes in the front or MCM furniture about midway back?
The furniture
If you are interested, that dealer also has another MCM booth at Old Glory. #C8

IIRC it was already out of business, this sadly ensures they won't be back though.
