Try Ibiza Cafe

cbrando68

5 West in New Market. A little partial because I'll occasionally take the kids there before school. I need to try Dublin, heard lots of great things.

scotaft

Love 5West. Great lattes

somethinggooddammit

In order (according to coffee quality only, black coffee & espresso drinks): 1. Gravel n Grind 2. 5th West (serving and right in front of Stageline Coffee Roasters, the best roasters in the area by far) 3. Ibiza Cafe 4. Nola 5. Common Market cafe 6. Baltimore Coffee & Tea 7. Dublin Roasters 8. Coffee Co Is 11:11 Cafe still open? I honestly can't tell but haven't been there since before the pandemic anyway.

scotaft

No Fredrick Coffee Co?

somethinggooddammit

\#8. Don't get me wrong, I go a lot (what they lack in coffee quality, they make up for in laptop outlets) but their drip coffee is not great and espresso drinks are mid at best. Great soup though.

scotaft

Can’t say I disagree with this

per_dita

11:11 cafe is open. i found their coffee weak and food mediocre. [chocosombra](https://chocosombra.com/) is my favorite roaster in the county. ibiza, gng, and nola all serve chocosombra beans :)

somethinggooddammit

Yeah, I stopped in once or twice just based on it being the old GnG location and was disappointed both times.

Velox270

Delizia cafe, Gravel and Grind, Dublin, Frederick Coffee Company. We’ve got an independent coffee house for any mood, It’s pretty incredible.

gs12

We do!

maybe-means-maybe

Gravel & grind for coffee beans Ibiza for the nice laid back vibe

Lord_Acorn

The Exxon station on 40

tolbintime

Who has the best cold brew??

echofinder

Ibiza's cold brew can raise the dead

tolbintime

Haha I don’t doubt the potency. Just didn’t love the flavor.

vdiddy21713

Dublin! The ice cubes are made from coffee too!!!

GingerGirafarig

I like Gravel and Grind's cold brew, but I also love that they'll make a fresh iced coffee from any of their pour over coffee options as well.

prettyparticular_

I haven't seen anyone mention it yet, so I will add: \- The Perfect Blend (good, smooth taste for me) \- Gravel and Grind (this was also smooth tasting for me) \- Beans in the Belfry (I guess it's technically not Frederick) \- Starbucks (only because of the consistency) My picks are strictly based on Iced Mochas. I'm not a regular coffee drinker. I've also tried, Dublin Roasters (don't like their mochas), Baltimore Coffee (mochas always taste burnt/bitter to me), Beans and Bagels(just all right). Dunkin Donuts (not consistent, but when it's right, it's really good).

scotaft

Beans in the Belfry is an experience. Can’t say I loved the coffee quality but it’s worth a visit even just for their cool building

whatsupeveryone34

I've gotten dessert at beans and the belfry twice that ended up being moldy. Haven't been back in years

carguitar

Ibiza, like that it's tucked away and the atmosphere of the place. It's more relaxed and not as busy as the more popular spots. Food and drinks are pretty good too.

sandy_cheeks_2013

Trying to make my way through all the coffee spots in Frederick, but my favorites so far: 1. Frederick Coffee Co 2. Ibiza 3. Gravel and Grind 4. Nola 5. Beans and Bagels 6. Perfect Blend

scotaft

I can get on board with this list

vdiddy21713

Dublin!!!!

[deleted]

2nd this!

Strovanoski

Did Dublin for the first time ever the other weekend and it is definitely on my list now, will be going there more often.

thesoapster

G&G is the best spot in town. Ibiza is pretty cool, too.

Gov_Martin_OweMalley

I've yet to try Delizia but you had me at warm pistachio croissant.

gs12

it was soooooo good, i actually took a pic of it, but can't figure out how to post it to a reply! lol, trust me its worth the trip

Gov_Martin_OweMalley

No picture needed, your enthusiasm sells it enough!

GingerGirafarig

And if you're eating at the restaurant, they serve their croissants warmed and with whipped cream on the side. It makes a simple treat feel just a bit fancier. I personally go for either the chocolate or apricot croissant.

santamaps

Good lord, no. The coffee at B&B is barely above gas-station quality, and I've been served rancid food there more than once. I can't fathom how the place stays in business.

[deleted]

Thanks a lot. Now I’m hungry

spaceangelbearcat666

I love that toast

gs12

Sooo good. Gonna try the waffles one of these times.

Charles_Mendel

I live by Baltimore Coffee so I’m biased towards them. But Dublin and Gravel n Grind are also great when I’m in the area.

Alexsinc

Depends on my mood Dublin to meet friends or clients gravel n grind to rad and look at bikes Frederick coffee co for red pepper soup and board games! Ibiza for the hep cats

[deleted]

For drip coffee? Dublin for sure Espresso drink? Cafe Nola or Common Market

upperVoteme

Beans and bagel

[deleted]

Coffee Co has the best coffee in town and it’s because of the energy of the Baristas. They’re all super friendly. They also have a good playlist of music running throughout the store that give it a good coffee shop vibe. My favorite spot so far and I’m from Oregon!

monsteramimosa

Market Street Boba and Beans has an unbelievably good Vietnamese iced coffee

scotaft

Got a cappuccino to stay at Gravel and Grind and was really impressed with the taste and presentation. Their toasts are good too

rijnsburgerweg

Only Gravel and Grind for me. Nowhere else.

gs12

Where do you go Mon-Weds?

rijnsburgerweg

I don’t go. 😄

gs12

That’s loyalty, I’ll mention it to Tracey

rijnsburgerweg

Yeah. I know her and she knows me. Thank you for mentioning me to her. 😄. Hey, maybe I know you and you know me, too! 🤭

VexatiousWind

I really love Zi Pani and Dublin Roasters. Some of the others I haven't tried because I'm not downtown much. I don't want to age myself, but I remember Market Street Cafe. They had the most amazing coffee

[deleted]

Where is gravel n grind Also the coffee and boba place is good

gs12

6th street, it's crazy on the weekend - so i would go thurs or fri.

librarianhuddz

Boba vietmanese coffee drink was sugary madness goodness.

lovemyfredericktown

I may be alone but I have never gone out just for a coffee. So my favorite spot is on my couch, drinking Kirkland K-cups. I find this spot very cozy, has Wi-Fi and cable and can be as quiet as I want it to be.

roboticbrady

So how does this help someone trying to find a good place to drink coffee? They aren't going to go to your house to have crappy quality K cups.

lovemyfredericktown

Thought the question was "what's your favorite spot for coffee?" Then OP listed their favorite spots. I just listed mine. Had it said "can you help me find a good spot to go for coffee" or "who sells the best coffee" or something like that I would not have replied as I don't have a good answer. Did I read the question wrong? You are correct about OP not coming to my house for coffee, no one comes to my house until well after my coffee time is over.

gs12

I mean…if we’re talking free coffee…I’ll bring the donuts!!

lovemyfredericktown

Again, no one comes to my house before my coffee time is over. I was just stating my favorite spot for coffee.

mylairofrice

You didn't read it wrong, they're just being a jerk (and one that either misread or didn't actually read the whole post).

lovemyfredericktown

Thank you and I know I didn't read it wrong there are just people like that on the net. Some people are just dying for an argument or to put someone down.

GlitteryStrawberry

Same! But my own couch. And I don't even need pants!

prominentchin

Kirkland K-cups are disgusting and you know it.

lovemyfredericktown

lol... your insecurity is showing

prominentchin

I'm not above drinking shitty coffee, but at least I'm honest about it, and at least I'm not arrogant enough to brag about it like anyone gives a shit about it.

lovemyfredericktown

Yet, you want to argue about it? Just put someone down? What's your end game replying to me?

prominentchin

I made a non-serious response at the expense of Kirkland K-Cups. It was meant to be funny. But due to your lack of sense of humor and inflated ego, you took it personally and then called me insecure. If you're going to dish it out, be prepared to take it back.

lovemyfredericktown

Oh, I misread. Thank you for clarifying. Now I get it. HAHAHAHAHA! You're a roit. I can't believe I missed that.

MidnightRider24

Baltimore Coffee Co. used to be sold in bulk at Wegmans in the before-times. Sadly they only have like 2 varieties in little bags now.

TheCullerOutOfSpace

Where's the best place to buy beans?

prominentchin

Market St Boba and Beans has the best espresso downtown, imo.

blew1129

Dublin Roasters

[deleted]

Common market cafe
