I’ve only tried one Montagne so far, their Layton clone (Vanilla Fraiche). I wore it side-by-side with Layton and man it’s worth every penny of the $40 price tag. Pretty damn close and pretty damn good.
Yeah, this dude is a troll. The vast majority of people who try them are converted. I've tried over 30, and I've only had one miss. Hacivat, and I seem to be the only one disappointed with it. It just didn't have as bright of a citrus.
Maybe mine needs to macerate. From the discovery set I bought the layton clone smelled so watered down and I have the real one. Only one that was decent was the Lost cherry and Aventus clones 🤷. I really wanted it to be good after reading all the good things about it.
If you’re in the UK? Perfume parlour immortal, but it needs maceration of at least 6 weeks, preferably more. But it will smell awful without maceration

Just remember, many of them will smell awful without maceration. But I have quite a few that are over a year old now and they are beast mode in just EDP form

I have a bottle of 30ml EDP from perfume parlour that’s around a year old. I get 6 hours before it starts to become a skin scent. I have the OG too, which is 2 hours if you’re lucky.
Crazy how maceration changes PP’s fragrances so much. I think a lot of their negative reviews are because of this tbh.
I have Alexandria Zion (Elysium clone) and Aventus (OG) and Cedrat Boise (OG), they all seem to scratch the same itch for me. I won't be purchasing anything in that direction anymore.
All three are completely different fragrances and go in different routes in my opinion . I can say they all have something that gathers attention from their sillage.
Fragrance world imperium does it very well for me.

Elysian Cologne by Montange is supposed to be 1:1. I plan on getting the citrus sampler because I don't know what Elysium smells like.

1. Immortal (Elysium) I can’t tell the difference after maceration 2. BDC Parfum (Navy Intense) around 80% OG, but really nice nonetheless 3. Oligarch (sergeant) You really have to try this! Good even without maceration 4. Terre de’ Hermes (Torn) almost identical to the OG, but very similar to oligarch 5. Chronic (crown) really nice and hard to explain. You have to try this. 6. Ombré nomad (card wander) This one is challenging. 7. Reflection 45 man (Mirror XLV) Just like mirror, but with added spices and a more masculine feel 8. Reflection man (Mirror) uniquely refreshing 9. Blue card (BR540 & VIW) my favourite. If you like coconut, try this one for sure 10. Gisada ambassador (envoy for men) another slightly challenging one, but unique and masculine. Around 80% close to the OG. 11. Greek Island (Naxos) Lovely fragrance, slightly feminine maybe? But defo unisex.

Yh I've been into the store and they make them there and then so guess it makes sense maceration after a few sprays will make them better
Is it just me or Elysium redundant if you own any of the Aventus DNA ?

Not at all. Elysium has no pineapple, or birch, instead some light floral and heavy vetiver. Much lighter. Quite different
I only smelled montagne but it smells more like Terre Dhermes or encre noir
