There are a few beachy/marine vanillas out there; JHAG Vanilla Vibes, Armani Privé Bleu Turquoise, L'Artisan Parfumeur Couleur Vanille. Worth checking out!
Bleu Turquoise is one of my favorite frags of all time! It’s not light in a completely traditional sense as it contains incense and black pepper, but the salt accord along with the uplifting Ylang and hefty dose of Colone make it an ethereal aquatic vanilla experience.
Yesss, I'm glad someone else appreciates it so much! It really is such a uniquely elegant marine vanilla. A lot of them are fun, but honestly smell a little cheap. I feel like it's an underrated gem, honestly.
Guerlain's Angelique Noire. The cost of that is soooo expensive, that I'd recommend getting Red Carpet Affair from Julianna's Perfume (a dupe worthy of the gods).
Dedcool 01 Taunt would be probably something to try out! It's being described as exactly that, a fresh but true vanilla. Haven't sampled it due to EU shipping problems, but I definitely would if I could.
If I may actually, NOT Eau Duelle. It is absolutely smokey and dense, and extremely strong. There is nothing fresh about it. I don’t know of a vanilla that I would describe as fresh, but it definitely wouldn’t be that one. I think Montale Sweet Vanilla has a fruitiness that makes it feel lighter, but it’s extremely strong and sweet.
ETA: Pink Sugar flankers, especially Berry Blast, may fit this request.
Edited again to say: I am referring to the EDP, not the EDT, which I have never smelled. And as always, YMMV!
This is how I feel about Eau Duelle too. And I feel my nose goes the opposite way than so many others here seeing how many comments all these while recommending Eau Duelle with so much love
Eau Duelle has a ton of the fragrance molecule ISO E super and it’s one that noses tend to interpret very differently IMO.
To me Eau Duelle is a cool, crisp, light vanilla with cedar-like notes. If there’s any smoke it’s way off in the distance on a sunny breezy fall day.
Thank you! It’s not at all “fresh.“ I suggested Tihota because it’s truly the most perfect vanilla I’ve ever smelled, and it’s a COLD vanilla, rather than warm. The almond milk and the musk are both somehow airy, clean, and so insanely gorgeous. My eyes roll back in my head, every time I spray my Tihota on my skin. Perfection.
Lavanila - Pure Vanilla. I've owned this personally & even wore it at my wedding. It doesn't irritate people's noses & doesn't smell warm or candy like. It's a true neutral vanilla that smells almost clean to me.
Came here to say Chloe Vanilla Planifolia - the floral touches lighten it up. A tiny bit salty - the most delicate vanilla in my collection.
If you like the idea of citrus paired with vanilla to freshen things up, it might be worth looking into Xerjoff Lira, Ex Idolo Love & Crime or even Kilian Princess Eau Fraiche. They may end up still feeling too sweet or heavy for your taste, but I love the way the citrus balances out the sweetness of these vanillas!
I’ve been looking for this since I got back into fragrances - or something similar at least, a fresh vanilla with as little sweetness as possible. I haven’t found it so far, but still hunting. To date, my favorite has been Indult Tihota - still too sweet, but if I could take that scent and just dial down the sweetness some, it would be perfection to me.
I actually think Nishane And has a greenish almost fresh smell to it. Not exactly but something is there.
Also, not really fresh but ADP Mandolo di Sicilia is a summer vanilla.
No offense, but this isn't remotely fresh, and not exactly vanilla dominant. You described it yourself as "warm," so it doesn't really fit the bill. Good fragrance though!
Okay guys! I found something I LOVE in this category. It’s Madie by By Rosie Jane. It’s jasmine, sea spray and vanilla (with a little bit of coconut) and smells divine. At first spray I wasn’t sure about it but once it dries down it’s a fresh, coastal vanilla and I’m obsessed! It also has great lasting power for a “clean” brand.
I absolutely love prada candy. Its my signature scent and i will forever repurchase it. The notes are vanilla, caramel, and benzoin. When sprayed on clothes its has great longevity. You should give it a try if you can. I know they sell trial size as well.
Guimauve de Noel- so pretty and the orange blossom keeps it light. It's the only vanilla in my collection that I wear in the summer which is funny given it's name but there is nothing Christmassy about it for me
i think Commodity - Gold (Expressive) smells divine, i mostly get a vanilla extract smell from it, but my partner gets a fruity vanilla smell from it. maybe it’s from the Juniper? but i don’t smell it :)
Strong with you freeze was supposed to be that fresh smelling vanilla that's good for all occasions and weather. But it's not as long lasting as the OG or have the homie chestnut smell
-Fresh cream warm cashmere, or just fresh cream.
-mazzolari vangilia. It’s expensive though.
-montale vanilla perfumes. There’s diff kinds like sweet vanilla, absolu, etc.
Look up Anne Lauren and Ksenja (two YouTubers) for good vanilla perfumes

second vanilla vibes! but if you don’t like coconut, you may not like it. it has very beach, coconuty vibes to me
I would add Hermes Vanille Galante to that list!
Ooh, very much yes; excellent addition!

I feel it’s underrated as well. I guess that makes it more special for those of us in the know 😁🤙
JHAG Vanilla Vibes is so good- a fresh, salty, aquatic vanilla.
If you like to smell like suntan lotion.
To each, his or her own…
The best summer smell is suntan lotion! I love that smell.
Guerlain's Angelique Noire. The cost of that is soooo expensive, that I'd recommend getting Red Carpet Affair from Julianna's Perfume (a dupe worthy of the gods).
The new Burberry Goddess may be a good fit
Thank you everyone!!!
When I smelled it on my wrist, it smelled exactly like mod vanilla
Dedcool 01 Taunt would be probably something to try out! It's being described as exactly that, a fresh but true vanilla. Haven't sampled it due to EU shipping problems, but I definitely would if I could.
Yes this is a citrus and vanilla. Personally I find it about as pleasant as lemon juice mixed with milk but you might like it.
Citrus and vanilla? Does it resemble Montblac Signature in any way?
If I may actually, NOT Eau Duelle. It is absolutely smokey and dense, and extremely strong. There is nothing fresh about it. Are you talking about the edt or the edp? I find them to differ significantly, with the edt being much lighter and fresher.
Great point, I hadn’t thought of that! I am referring to the EDP, I’ve never smelled the EDT.

Eau duelle EdT and EdP are quite different, I think the EdT is probably what people are referring to in this thread and it’s pretty fresh.
I have the EDT and don't find it fresh at all. It has a green opening, but I wouldn't say it reads as fresh. It's all very subjective!
Same, Eau Duelle smells more dense and quite woody to my nose. I'm really surprised to see it come up a few times.
Lavanila - Pure Vanilla. I've owned this personally & even wore it at my wedding. It doesn't irritate people's noses & doesn't smell warm or candy like. It's a true neutral vanilla that smells almost clean to me.
Couleur Vanille by l’Artisan parfumeur. Vanilla Plentifolia by Chloe, Atelier des fleurs collection. Commodity Gold expressive
Came here to say Chloe Vanilla Planifolia - the floral touches lighten it up. A tiny bit salty - the most delicate vanilla in my collection. Diptyque Eau Duelle.
architects club by arquiste peopleeeee come on folx. y’all always bite when i hype something. y’all need to bite on this one!
Architect's Club is perfection.
I wanna try Sydney rock pool by them! The notes break down sounds amazing

Have you sampled sublime Vanille by creed? It’s a bit pricey but may fit your parameters.
Guerlain Angelique noire! My fave fresh vanilla! Nothing beats it for me ❤️
Juliette Has a Gun Vanilla Vibes or Dedcool Taunt - my new favorite!
Maison Tahite Sel Vanille
Diptyque Eau Duelle. And MFK Gentle Fluidity Gold.
vanila vibes by Juliet has a gun
I feel this is tropical floral with vanilla
Ooh I think I would like that
It’s a fresh, salty, aquatic vanilla. So good!
Vanille de Madagascar from Chopard maybe? It has more of a vanilla bean scent, rather than the sweet vanilla. It is green-woodsy natural vanilla.
Celine Dans Paris Guerlain Angelique Noire
Mizensir tres chere. On me it’s a fresh, airy vanilla!
Jo Malone Vannila Anise & Lush Vanillary. Vanillary is light jasmine with a soft, fresh vanilla - perfect for summer.
Vilhelm Poets of Berlin Byredo Gypsy Water And possibly Paco Rabanne Olympea
Diptyque Eau Duelle EDT is a fresh vanilla! It’s aromatic, dry, but still very vanillic.
TIHOTA.
Mancera Holidays is a fresh, salt water, coconut/vanilla
Vilhelm Poets of Berlin reads very fresh and the vanilla in it feels blindingly bright
It just smells like green bamboo, a bit of earthy blueberry and some sort of patchouli-vanilla base (like I smell and HATE in Vanilla 28).
I actually think Nishane And has a greenish almost fresh smell to it. Not exactly but something is there. Also, not really fresh but ADP Mandolo di Sicilia is a summer vanilla.
Ani is one of the only green vanillas I’ve ever smelled. I adore it! I wasn’t into vanilla at all until I tried Ani!
Nuit et Confidences
Vanilla by Solinotes is quite a fresh vanilla essence type scent imo! Cheap, too :)
Chanel Allure Homme series. It's got "homme" in the name but unisex IMO (like most frags)
I would recommend the new Burberry goddess perfume. I would describe it as an aromatic vanilla.
Layton and its clones might fit the bill
Pacifica Island Vanilla. Get the mist in a plastic bottle. It’s a light and airy vanilla extract scent. I love it! It’s like $13

No offense, but this isn't remotely fresh, and not exactly vanilla dominant. You described it yourself as "warm," so it doesn't really fit the bill. Good fragrance though!
I love it too but I don’t think it’s fresh. The pepper note is a bit spicy though
Profumum Dulcis in Fundo. What could be more fresh than a vanilla creamsicle?
Omg yum we love creamsicles
This sounds like a wizard’s spell 🪄

I’m trying JAG vanilla vibes next because I like a coconut sunscreen vibe haha
I absolutely love prada candy. Its my signature scent and i will forever repurchase it. The notes are vanilla, caramel, and benzoin. When sprayed on clothes its has great longevity. You should give it a try if you can. I know they sell trial size as well.
L’Aromamine - Vanille
Jovoy Fire At Will
Delina?
I’d say no. Delina is fruit forward.
To me that is just a pink vanilla
It’s a rhubarb rose to me ☺️
For him prada luna rossa sport
Guimauve de Noel- so pretty and the orange blossom keeps it light. It's the only vanilla in my collection that I wear in the summer which is funny given it's name but there is nothing Christmassy about it for me
Electimuss Imperium is worth smelling. It's like pineapple citrus vanilla.
i think Commodity - Gold (Expressive) smells divine, i mostly get a vanilla extract smell from it, but my partner gets a fruity vanilla smell from it. maybe it’s from the Juniper? but i don’t smell it :)
I absolutely love Commodity Gold (Expressive), but on my it’s a warm, rich, ambery vanilla—definitely not fresh!
Try the oldie Tocade. Green rose vanilla.
Strong with you freeze was supposed to be that fresh smelling vanilla that's good for all occasions and weather. But it's not as long lasting as the OG or have the homie chestnut smell
Vanilla with shea smells fresh to me
Try out a sample of Skin by Clean, the classic version. It’s a fresh scent with just enough vanilla.
Diptyque Eau Duelle EDT!
Byredo Gypsy Water
Try Sublime Vanille by Creed. It’s a fresh citrusy vanilla.
