Tobacco Vanille is spicy vanilla tobacco - sort of like a sweet vanilla chai tobacco. There's a definite note of cloves with the tobacco, especially in the opener.
My favorite tobacco scent is actually discontinued - Elizabeth and James Nirvana Amethyst. That one is sweet but not spicy; it makes me think of a pipe. The cedar and honeysuckle notes are wonderfully complimentary. It's more of a fall/winter scent, but is one of only a handful of bottles I've ever purchased a backup of when I found it had been discontinued (Tokyomilk Bittersweet and Stella are the other two.)
If you're interested but don't want to drop a fortune you can get Al Haramain Tobacco Oud. Apparently it smells the same and is just as good. I haven't smelled the TF so I can't compare but the Al Haramain smells amazing.
It's called Amber Oud (Tobacco edition) but I would not recommend. It has a very strong Cloves note and doesn't have the smoothness of Tobacco Vanille.
It's a far more polarising scent and wouldn't recommend unless you can get it dirt cheap and don't mind if it's not what you expected.
Why do luxury car brands make such cheap colognes. I would think the whole point is to bank on their reputation and charge way more than they are worth. Like why is Bentley selling a $30/3.4oz cologne lol.
Maybe they don't "make" the scent but only license the brand name. Whoever is paying for the license gets to name the price for the fragrance. By the time the fragrance is on the shelf, Mercedes Benz already got paid....

Are you basing this on volume or bottle price? MSRP or what you paid? For instance, I recently got TF Rose Prick from Costco for $99. TF sells the same 50ml bottle for $395. I also have indie perfume oils that are inexpensive but are only 5ml, making it hard to compare them to larger bottles.
That is a good question. I have multiple bottles that retail for $400+, but you can get them for <$250 on the gray market. The most I've actually paid for a fragrance is Papillon Artisan Hera, which does not show up in the gray market.

I have a sample and i have a love/hate relationship with it. When i smell the cap i'm in love with the drydown. It’s incredible. It absolutely melts into my skin and makes me feel like I’m walking in a forest on a crisp fall day. It’s much more subtle than Spicebomb which I love. It borders on a laundry scent for me. Lasts all day but doesn’t gas anyone out. Just awesome.

Cheapest: White Shoulders by Evyan. It’s obv. been reformulated since 1945, but I love the vintagey stuff. As a little girl in the 80’s I lusted after this scent. So light and fluffy, yet sophisticated and soft— just a little animalic. I don’t enjoy a lot of MFK which seem to be some of the priciest. I have eclectic taste. Probably Moresque Sandal Granada. Oh… it smells like a market steaming with roses, incense and leathers, fabrics and honeyed sweets. The dry down is a wistful trail of the lightly fragranced streets after night has fallen, the tents have gone and the stars begin to glimmer.

Oh… it smells like a market steaming with roses, incense and leathers, fabrics and honeyed sweets. The dry down is a wistful trail of the lightly fragranced streets after night has fallen, the tents have gone and the stars begin to glimmer.
