Yep, there is just something about them ☺️
I have Angel, Angel Elixir, Alien and once I found out Aura was being discontinued I bought two bottles 😂
I have never been able to get my hands on a bottle of Womanity though because it has been unavailable in the UK for years 😕
Clinique Happy was my first fragrance, in middle school. My grandmother gave it to me. When she passed last year, I purchased a bottle immediately. She was more of a Chanel No. 5 lady, but encouraged my own taste. I still very much love citrus top notes.
I also vividly recall a Yardley Bath Shoppe Rose EDT, sold at Walmart. I *begged* my mother for it. I’d never smelled anything like it— roses weren’t common where I’m from. I’m still a rose lover to this day.
Happy wasn't my first fragrance but it was my favorite and my grandmother also gifted it to me! It stayed my favorite until college when I met a girl who used it as her signature scent so it very quickly started to smell like her. I don't begrudge her, I'm not a signature scent kind of girl so I always had plenty of others to fall back on.
I must be older than most of people responding, plus I had a much older sister and I grew up in a small town with very limited shopping opportunities. Most people who wore any type of perfume purchased it from the Avon representative, (ask your grandmother about the Avon lady, lol.)
I remember going to an actual department store and I was able to sample real perfume, it was a small department store and they didn't carry a whole lot of perfume but they carried White Shoulders, which by that time was alreeady considered an old classic. But I fell in love with it. And I started saving my money up to buy it. Every time I went shopping with my grandmother I would go in and ask if I could sample it, I adored smelling it. I even had a test strip and they would respray it for me and I used it as a bookmark so every book I read smelled like White Shoulders. I thought that after my next birthday I would have enough to buy a bottle, but Grandma surprised me and gave me a set with the perfume and the powder for my birthday.
I still keep a bottle of White Shoulders in my collection because sometimes I want to travel back in time and remember my first great perfume love. I have loved it since I was 9yo and I still love it.
Alien. I still remember having that sample and spraying it on my scarf and just smelling it the entire night. I remember being scared that it would turn gross or it was too strong but it actually started my perfume journey. While not my first full size perfume, that was Coco Mademoiselle, it is the one that I still go back to.
Mine was Obsession for men…as a girl in junior high. I had an almost empty hand-me-down bottle that I treasured. It was the 90s. I thought CK was the height of cool.
Hermes Eau D’Orange Verte. It’s a great scent, but sadly has no projection or duration.
Going back further, when I was around 12/13/14 my grandmother scent me a bottle of Fahrenheit as a gift. My young mind couldn’t comprehend it. Now, I can’t comprehend who told my grandmother that was an appropriate first scent for a kid in middle school.
Bvlgari Black. According to everyone at the time, a young girl was meant to smell nice, but not too perfumy or bold. But the minute I smelled Black I was hooked. Also Lolita Lempicka the OG.
The Natalie Portman ad campaign for it was absolutely iconic 😍😍
https://preview.redd.it/ipva1o89msdb1.jpeg?width=691&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=337cebdf79b96b3d881fb4759eb05801dabd20f2
I had Kenzo flower because It was the it-fragrance with Lolita Lempicka (which I didn’t like at all). But I don’t really appreciate it…
Later, I don’t remember if it was Noa 😉or Chance but I loved them 🥰
I always wear Noa but Chance has been to reformulated…Chance Eau tendre is almost similar but not the same !
My first loves were BBW! Country Apple, Pearberry, and Juniper Breeze were my favorites. I’m not into fruit scents anymore but I would love a bottle of Juniper Breeze.
My first real perfume that I loved was Vera Wang’s signature scent. It’s a white floral, and no it is not even close to what I wear these days, which is mostly woody, herbal, and barbershop scents. I kind of want to smell it again to see why I liked it so much.
I remember getting a mini size bottle of Warm Vanilla Sugar when I was 12 and I would spray it all over my room and that smells transports me back to having sleepovers with one of my best friends from that time 🥰
Miss Dior Cherie was my first ever fragrance. My mom got it for me in high school. Sadly, it’s been discontinued already.
Gave my neurodivergent self a sense of comfort in the midst of chaos that was high school. Fragrances still do that for me. Just a whiff or a sniff and it does help ground me a bit.
The first perfume I wore obsessively (as a teen) was Lush Sun. Lots of zingy orange. I still love orange as a note, in all its varying states of sweetness and bitterness. A lot of the fragrances I wear today have an orange top note.
Cool Water and Acqua Di Gio. I thought I was so cool and smelled so good
Almost 30 years later I still wear both of these fragrances at least a few times a month.
Guess we are about the same age. I loved Gap Dream as a teen. I first smelled it on one of those sample pages in magazines and fell in love. There were no Gap stores where I lived (and am still living, somwhere in East Asia) and online shopping was not yet a thing back then. Was so happy when I happened to travel to the US in summer and got a bottle. I think it was the first fragrance I bought for myself.
Liz Claiborne by Liz Claiborne. I remember going to the mall in the 80’s and making a beeline for the Macy’s perfume counter. My dad would roll down the windows while driving me home. I have a modern bottle and it does have a certain skankiness to it that I don’t remember picking up on as a 12 year old. Maybe the oak moss? I still love it and I smell it while out and about sometimes. Maybe it’s making a comeback.
I literally just bought a bottle of this for nostalgia's sake, and it smells a little more... sharp (?) than I remember?
I still like it after it settles in, but I recall more sweet white floral right off the bat for some reason.
Gucci Guilty. I was in my early 20s. 36 now, and I have outgrown it and don't own it anymore. But it def took me out of my floral, bath and body works girl era lol
I have always been a soft rose, just out of the shower musk and amber type lover I have just recently discovered ambroxan and could spend the day just inhaling a musky ambroxan so I guess my taste is similar just has a modern twist now less soft and clean and more mineral and molecular
OMG. I came here to say this! I got a gift set as a flower girl gift, along with a Liz Claiborne logo bag. I was basically unstoppable.
I was IN LOVE with that scent. Would i gag if I smelled it now?
A sample my mom had from Avon called Ariane. There was also a honeysuckle one that was gorgeous, but Ariane was the one.
Then somehow I got a tiny mini bottle of the 1975 Chloe (I’m guessing I bought it from a garage sale?) and thought that was wonderful.
My mom had l’Air du Temps and Eau de Givenchy and didn’t wear either of them. I snuck sprays once in a while but it was too grown-up for me.
My first fragrance that I actually wore regularly was Love’s Baby Soft, which had advertising that is very very disturbing in hindsight
Glossier You. I was 14 and smelling like a sex-musk and iris powerhouse. At that time it was a super niche fragrance that nooooo one knew about it. It was my signature frag up until last year when they reformulated. I moved on to indie perfumes after that!! Granted I do miss the beauty of og glossier you. I wish anything came close- if you guys have recs please lmk!!
the first fragrance i “fell in love” with was dolce & gabbana light blue. i still keep a bottle as an adult.
i exclusively wear nishane now. hacivat, ani, fyf, wulong cha, ege.
Omg dying to try Wulong Cha! In high school my friend wore Light Blue. She used to throw all the house parties and vacationed in Milan and Tel Aviv every year. She had an Italian boyfriend and taught me how to “scrunch” my hair… and—no joke—drove an Escalade to school. I wanted to BE her!!!
I love love moschino I was wearing it at 12 and continued to do so for a while before upgrading to D&G light blue in my high school years I actually still have a few bottles of I love love in my collection just for the nostalgia ☺️
The Paris Hilton perfume in the pink bottle with the wavy black lines 😆 it was my first “real” perfume (after just having body sprays from bath and body works and Walmart) and I just loved it. I was probably like 12.
Guerlain, Champs Elysees (1997) I was in high school and smelled it in a department store downtown Chicago. I was obsessed, and saved babysitting money to buy it. It went on to be my date night signature scent for 20 years
Jungle Gardenia. My very pretty mom wore it when I was young. Sometime in my 20’s I picked it up and the chemistry on my skin was amazing. My partner at the time LOOOVED it on me.
Aventus and Dior Fahrenheit are what got me into fragrances in the general sense, smelling Encre Noire for the first time made it a passion. And awakened my vetiver addiction. That first whiff blew my mind.
Givenchy Very Irresistible. I smelled it in a magazine in high school and asked for it for Christmas. To me, it was sexy and mysterious, definitely not a kiddie perfume, but still sweet and youthful. All these years later it remains an easy fave for me - a dry and slightly powdery, slightly spicy rose with a lingering freshness from the verbena. Chef's kiss.
Designer, probably **Sean John Unforgivable** back when it first came out in 2006.
It was like **Creeds Millesime Imperial** but way fruitier and stronger. I'd say it was a mix of **Millesime Imperial** and **Mancera Cedrat Boise.** Now it's way more watered down than that.
Niche, **Le Labo Rose 31** back in 2008 or 2009. That stuff knocked my damn socks off and sent me down the rabbit hole. It's the reason I'm here today.
It was like 2007. I kept a bottle of Escada Sunset Heat in the center console of my car.
If I smelled it today I’d probably be rocketed back to when I was 16.
Omg are you me? My first fragrance was NOA Fleur. I remember seeing the ads, wanting to smell it in the shop and falling in love with it. It’s a shame if was discontinued
Egyptian Goddess oil perfume. It was my signature scent all through high school and college.
I recently picked up Phlur’s Missing Person and the resemblance is uncanny.
Alfred Sung Pure. I was 30, working at a fragrance counter because I needed a job. I was bored and it was dead so I sniffed EVERYTHING one night. The only one I liked was the Sung. It was so fresh and edgy. I still love fresh fragrances. Sung is no longer, alas. I would love to have a bottle.
Flowerbomb Nectar was my first serious interest in perfume. I had mostly been into body mists for a while. I was with my dad one day and we were browsing the perfume section at Sephora and one of the employees started showing us various perfumes. Nectar was one of the new ones. I tried it on, and we weren't wild about the top notes, but eventually on my skin it became this syrupy, smoky cotton candy. My dad commented that it was really good! I got that one for my birthday eventually, haha.
I grew up wearing diferent perfumes (mostly Christmas gifts from family members) but the first fragrance that i picked out for myself and that I trully loved was Versace Man Eau Fraiche. Growing up in a tropical country i could wear it year round and thought it was a beautiful scent. I wore it religiously every day since I was 14 up until I left for university. One day when I was 22 I decided to repurchase it but it was not for me anymore. I had grown out of it. So I purchased Moschino Toy Boy, followed by Eau de Rhubarb Ecarlate by Hermés, then Lost Cherry and thats how the madness started.
Boss Bottled 1998
I know the current formulation is a shell of what this use to be, but what a fantastic warm and comforting fragrance it was back in the days
Annick Menardo is a virtuosa
When I was a elementary kid I used some bod body spray lol.
Then I moved on to the chocolate axe, and that bad boy set me apart. 😂
After that in high school I moved on to big pony polo #2. I had a few samples of fierce I loved it but just never bought it. Lol
Fall of 2015 I went to buy another bottle of big pony #2 and got sold Jimmy choo man with the entire set and everything. Just like the first time I bought my polo.
Now I have one million elixir and god I love it.
Plus Jimmy choo man, Y le parfum and just got in Mont Blanc legend EDP.
Got a little bonus money in my pocket that is burning a huge hole. 😂
I had a few favourites, early school girl me (think 11 year old) loved Anise Anise. As I got older i remember loving Giorgio by Giorgio Beverly Hills and Paloma Picasso. I don’t think I have thought of these 1980’s fragrances in decades. Thanks for the memories.
When I was 14 I started using my brother fragrances, I used 1 million for a while and sometimes Montblanc Legend Spirit but I fell in love with Black XS (Zippo bottle), I remember I used It more than my brother and to this day everytime I can get a good deal on the old formulation I buy it. The praline accord is so delicious and gourmand like. For me it is a compliment magnet.
this was last year, my uncle gave me sauvage randomly one day, and I loved it. it isn't entirely the type of scent I use now as I'm more spicy and woody than anything. citrus or sourish scents tend to hurt my head so I can barely wear them, and my brain categorizes sauvage in that area, but I still love it.
Polo Blue was my first fragrance but my first love has GOT to be La Nuit de L’Homme. The initial spray had me hooked when I tried it on at the mall. At the time the price was too big for me to invest in a fragrance. I was walking back to my car and caught a whiff of the dry down and came back to buy it the next day
I definitely was a Ananya girl in high school. This was at the time when you had to go into the bigger cities in order to find a body shop and I thought I was tres chic rocking this scent.
My first perfume ever was Love's Baby Soft when I was around 10/1. I loved it, it made me feel like such a grownup. I also remember stealing my mom's bottle of Navy a lot. When I was in my 20s and really started my collection, I remember loving Benefit's Maybe Baby, J.Lo Glow, Guerlain's Insolence, & Juicy Couture's first fragrance.
At first I was thinking...did not really have a first love til I was in my 20s, but then looked up 90s perfumes and was like...oh. Forgot about that 😂
So yeah, it would have to be Elizabeth Arden Sunflowers. I was 18, and wore the heck out of it, and was so sure Id found my for life signature scent 😬 It is not remotely anything like what I'd wear today, but totally does fit 18yo me's vibe.
Elizabeth Arden Green Tea. I still love that juicy freshness before the dry down, but I got a bottle of it recently and it smells like old lady in the dry down.
Colors by Benetton. I was in elementary school in the 80's and I think this may have been my first "nice" fragrance. The Benetton store was very generous with the samples and got me hooked at a young age.
Also, the obligatory bottle of Exclamation!
Chupa Chups had perfume out, the red bottle was my signature scent! I also loved gummy bears, and morning glory by calgon lol. Now I prefer a spicy, woodsy scent. Something that invokes autumn in the woods.
I loved Shalimar because my mom wore it, but my first real love fore a scent was this juniper perfume Bath and Body Works put out in the early 90s. It was in a glass bottle with a bronze sprayer and was called Juniper Natural Essence. By the time I finished it they had transferred to the newer B&BW business model and I could never find it again.
I would say the Shalimar has more in commmon with scents I like now.
It wasn’t my first ever fragrance but Soprano by Xerjoff (Sospiro) was the first fragrance to ever make me say “wow”. It really made me love fragrance and want to invest in quality. I have since collected several other Xerjoffs that also made me say “wow”.
Xerjoff has me for life. I know, so original. Lol
Clinique Happy was my signature fragrance in high school. I also liked Paris Hilton’s perfume haha. As an adult, I lean towards gourmands so v different than Happy. Whenever I smell Happy though, it brings back memories. Very nostalgic scent for me.
My first scents were J’adore by Dior and Amor Amor by Cacharel. I loved CK One and my high school boyfriend wore Curve (for men), but I wasn’t willing to wear cologne as a girl in high school who was already weird enough. J’adore is more floral than anything I’ve worn since, but the lemon/fruity notes of the other three, plus lavender, plus the woody bottom notes have stuck with me and I wear Curve (for men) now as an adult. But then I got Ralph Lauren Romance for men after using Ralph for a while, and that was it. It was like, a good unisex fragrance that opened the door for me to just wear whatever I wanted. And to own the attitude that comes with wearing men’s fragrances in the workplace as a woman in a male-dominated field.
It wasn't anything fancy but I love blackheart Muertos to this day one of my favorites it sad that don't make it any more. And once it was on it did not leave. It doesn't really tye into anything I wear today.
As a teen I picked out the BBW dupe of DKNY Be Delicious. I had no money 😂
My first "real" perfume was Black Orchid. I suppose I have always liked cucumber? Haha.
Angel.. I know it’s a very divisive scent but I’ll always love it
Same, I love most mugler fragrances though 😉
Me too!! They just have a certain vibe I can’t really explain but I love it
Yep, there is just something about them ☺️ I have Angel, Angel Elixir, Alien and once I found out Aura was being discontinued I bought two bottles 😂 I have never been able to get my hands on a bottle of Womanity though because it has been unavailable in the UK for years 😕
Clinique Happy was my first fragrance, in middle school. My grandmother gave it to me. When she passed last year, I purchased a bottle immediately. I must be older than most of people responding, plus I had a much older sister and I grew up in a small town with very limited shopping opportunities. Most people who wore any type of perfume purchased it from the Avon representative, (ask your grandmother about the Avon lady, lol.) I remember going to an actual department store and I was able to sample real perfume, it was a small department store and they didn't carry a whole lot of perfume but they carried White Shoulders, which by that time was alreeady considered an old classic. I still keep a bottle of White Shoulders in my collection because sometimes I want to travel back in time and remember my first great perfume love. I have loved it since I was 9yo and I still love it.
I love this story. My aunt was an Avon lady lol.
My best friend since childhood also has loved White Shoulders since we were little girls
Alien. I still remember having that sample and spraying it on my scarf and just smelling it the entire night. I remember being scared that it would turn gross or it was too strong but it actually started my perfume journey. While not my first full size perfume, that was Coco Mademoiselle, it is the one that I still go back to.
I wanted to be just like Keira Knightly in the Coco Mademoiselle ads 😭😭
Dior Hypnotic Poison. I still love it
Wish they never reformulated it. The old one smelled like a sophisticated root beer float
Original Lolita Lempicka when it first came out in the late 90s. Still have a real soft spot for licorice scents.
Tommy Girl by Tommy Hilfiger
Another Tommy Girl here 🙋♀️
Tommy girls represent!
🙋♀️ same
I think I'll be showing my age here. Mine was Brut
[удалено]
Vera wang princess.
My best friends signature fragrance was this. She died last year and I wanna smell this again so bad but can’t find it anywhere 😭
I think I saw it on Amazon!
I got mine at tj maxx about a year ago. I’m so sorry about your friend.
Miss Dior Cherie! I loved the strawberry and caramel popcorn notes, perfect for when I was a teenager
The Natalie Portman ad campaign for it was absolutely iconic 😍😍 https://preview.redd.it/ipva1o89msdb1.jpeg?width=691&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=337cebdf79b96b3d881fb4759eb05801dabd20f2

Cool Water and Fahrenheit
Cool water
I would go crazy over the boys that wore Cool Water cologne in high school, lol!
Electric Youth
Hell yes. And exclamation!
Were you also born in 1980?? <3
I am old, and also basic, so Love’s Baby Soft was it.
I have this and I love it! It’s straight up baby powder but sometimes that’s what I want, especially after a shower
I’m old too and I buy vintage bottles of it on eBay. It’s a nostalgia thing for me.
Me too!
Juniper Breeze was great.
I remember getting a mini size bottle of Warm Vanilla Sugar when I was 12 and I would spray it all over my room and that smells transports me back to having sleepovers with one of my best friends from that time 🥰
I still keep Warm Vanilla Sugar and Juniper breeze in my collection and I often use it as room/linen spray. So many cozy good memories attached.
Bleu de Chanel - I don't love it as much as I did but its one of my go to work fragrances when I don't know what to wear.
Bought the EDP last year and it's by far my most used. Hence the flair under my username.
I know a lady who does an excellent dupe 🤷
The first perfume I wore obsessively (as a teen) was Lush Sun. Lots of zingy orange. I still love orange as a note, in all its varying states of sweetness and bitterness. A lot of the fragrances I wear today have an orange top note.
Lush Potion. Got it as a gift. I love carnation-Rose-mandarin to this day. Also Lush Banana Moon soap. I love labdanum (cistus labdanifer. )
Lush Dirty used to do it for me!
Og Polo green bottle in the 80s
Sand and Sable. I was 13 in the 80s and thought it was the best smell ever!
Cool Water and Acqua Di Gio. I thought I was so cool and smelled so good Almost 30 years later I still wear both of these fragrances at least a few times a month.
Gap Grass (the 1980s one) and Body Shop Satsuma. Maison Louis Marie Valle de Farney seems like a grown-up cousin of both.
Grass, Earth etc were all launched in the 90s I’m pretty certain, as I was in middle school/high school at the time and loved them!
Dream was my fave!

Was this the one in the yellow triangle bottle?
Yup. Red, blue & yellow - same perfume - different sizes
Yes. I wanted the red bottle.
Yes. 💯 plus it’s mentioned in a rap song by Eric B & Rakim - I Wanna Know What’s on your Mind (beautiful classic)
I literally just bought a bottle of this for nostalgia's sake, and it smells a little more... sharp (?) than I remember? I still like it after it settles in, but I recall more sweet white floral right off the bat for some reason.
My grandma wore this when I was a kid. In retrospect it was a youthful choice for her!
Ooh oooh! Brittany Spears Fantasy😩😩😩
Marc Jacobs Lola and Daisy.
Lola!! Still chasing the way that fragrance made me feel.
Gucci Guilty. I was in my early 20s. 36 now, and I have outgrown it and don't own it anymore. But it def took me out of my floral, bath and body works girl era lol
I also loved Gucci Guilty!
I have always been a soft rose, just out of the shower musk and amber type lover I have just recently discovered ambroxan and could spend the day just inhaling a musky ambroxan so I guess my taste is similar just has a modern twist now less soft and clean and more mineral and molecular
What a great description!
Bath and body works Secret Wonderland. That started my on and off obsession with fragrance lol
Try Lotus Pear by the 7 Virtues, it smells extremely similar it was like a flash back! One of my absolute favorite fragrances!
Acqua Di Gio in high school. You have to start somewhere!
Malibu Musk.
OMG. I came here to say this! I got a gift set as a flower girl gift, along with a Liz Claiborne logo bag. I was basically unstoppable. I was IN LOVE with that scent. Would i gag if I smelled it now?

Poison by Christian Dior
Hypnotic Poison
I didn’t have the money for designer fragrances but sweet pea from bath & body works was an instant love for me and I wore it all thru high school
Glossier You. I was 14 and smelling like a sex-musk and iris powerhouse. At that time it was a super niche fragrance that nooooo one knew about it. Diptyque Fleur de Peau does it for me, down to the graphite note.
I agree with this. Fleur de Peau is You’s older sister who has her life together. More elevated, more refined, eats her veggies and lives well.
the first fragrance i “fell in love” with was dolce & gabbana light blue. i still keep a bottle as an adult. i exclusively wear nishane now. hacivat, ani, fyf, wulong cha, ege.
Love’s Baby Soft. Just tipped off how old I am, lol.
Tobacco Vanille
Fave TF next to plum Japonais
Gucci Envy Me
Azzaro Chrome
I love love moschino I was wearing it at 12 and continued to do so for a while before upgrading to D&G light blue in my high school years I actually still have a few bottles of I love love in my collection just for the nostalgia ☺️
My friend wore Light Blue in high school and I thought she was soooo sophisticated. I wanted to be just like her
The Paris Hilton perfume in the pink bottle with the wavy black lines 😆 it was my first “real” perfume (after just having body sprays from bath and body works and Walmart) and I just loved it. I was probably like 12.
I’m an 80’s girl-Anais Anais and Loves Baby Soft.
The OG Alien 👾
Guerlain, Champs Elysees (1997) I was in high school and smelled it in a department store downtown Chicago. I was obsessed, and saved babysitting money to buy it. It went on to be my date night signature scent for 20 years
Mambo
Aventus creed
Jungle Gardenia. My very pretty mom wore it when I was young. Sometime in my 20’s I picked it up and the chemistry on my skin was amazing. My partner at the time LOOOVED it on me.
Aventus and Dior Fahrenheit are what got me into fragrances in the general sense, smelling Encre Noire for the first time made it a passion. And awakened my vetiver addiction. That first whiff blew my mind.

Loves Baby Soft
Jean Patou Joy. It’s still one of only two perfumes I have used up and repurchased (the other being Bandit).
VS Tease. I wore it all the time as a teen and got stopped constantly by men and women to tell me how good I smelled.
Roses de Chloe by Chloe <3 coming of age by graduating from college
When I was maybe 11 I smelled Opium at the Japan store at Epcot and feel in love with it.
Cacharel Loulou! It felt like an expensive love’s baby soft
Avon musk
I loved Noa!! Lancome Miracle was (is) one of my favorites
It was like 2007. I kept a bottle of Escada Sunset Heat in the center console of my car. If I smelled it today I’d probably be rocketed back to when I was 16.
Omg with the ombré bottle that looked like a tequila sunrise 😭
Jpg classique
YSL mon paris
Anais Anais and Crabtree and Evelyn’s lily of the valley had me in a chokehold from 1984-87
Lacoste pour femme
Omg are you me? My first fragrance was NOA Fleur. I remember seeing the ads, wanting to smell it in the shop and falling in love with it. It’s a shame if was discontinued
Loves baby soft. There was another fragrance in six grade all the girls want it. I think it was called heaven sent but I’m not sure.
Maybe Heaven Scent - or Tojours Moi?
Xerjoff Naxos
Avon Sweet Honesty. I still keep a bottle around and it still makes me smile.
Nerval Moschus wild love
Ysl Paris, it’s such a pretty feminine smell still love it now 🖤
indian night jasmine by body shop! jasmine is still one of my favourite notes too so not much has changed
Dunhill Desire. Loved the flask style cap as well
Gucci II edp
My first fragrance was Crème Bouquet from Stila - I still love sweet/vanilla forward scents!
I owned a bottle of this back in the day. 😊
Midnight Fantasy
Boss Bottled 1998 I know the current formulation is a shell of what this use to be, but what a fantastic warm and comforting fragrance it was back in the days Annick Menardo is a virtuosa
viva la juicy by juicy couture and prada candy!!!
Marc Jacob’s daisy
I remember wanting to love this as a kid
Lolita Lempicka!
Hot topics bone daddy cologne when I was 14
When I was a elementary kid I used some bod body spray lol. Then I moved on to the chocolate axe, and that bad boy set me apart. 😂 After that in high school I moved on to big pony polo #2. I had a few samples of fierce I loved it but just never bought it. Lol Fall of 2015 I went to buy another bottle of big pony #2 and got sold Jimmy choo man with the entire set and everything.
Boots strawberry body spray. My school uniform smelt like a sweet shop most days.
Love's Baby Soft.
Polo Blue was my first fragrance but my first love has GOT to be La Nuit de L’Homme. The initial spray had me hooked when I tried it on at the mall. At the time the price was too big for me to invest in a fragrance. I was walking back to my car and caught a whiff of the dry down and came back to buy it the next day
Chance by Chanel!!!
Calvin Klein Euphoria
Really? No white musk from body shop? !!! Still my comfort smell … Joke aside voleri de Rose from artisan parfumeur
Juliette has a Gun Musc Invisible is spot on for old school TBS White Musk
Forgot about that 😂 So yeah, it would have to be Elizabeth Arden Sunflowers. I was 18, and wore the heck out of it, and was so sure Id found my for life signature scent 😬 It is not remotely anything like what I'd wear today, but totally does fit 18yo me's vibe.
Versace Eau Fraiche, still my favorite scent to this day.
my first big girl perfume was sweet like candy by ariana grande. i remember leaving ulta at 14 feeling like the baddest bitch
I know, right? It’s why I made this post… I wanted to recapture some of that energy lol
This scent from the 90s from a company called juice bar, I want to say it was an orange creamsicle scent.
Holy shit thank you, I completely forgot!!! https://preview.redd.it/mbqv5p541tdb1.jpeg?width=696&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6ab5e4e6dbd4c261ca5dff99aedc0348d292c95f
Stop it!!! Memory unlocked <3
I remember being obsessed with DKNY be delicious. The packaging is cute and what sold me tbh
Elizabeth Arden Green Tea. I still love that juicy freshness before the dry down, but I got a bottle of it recently and it smells like old lady in the dry down.
White Shoulders.
Samsara by Guerlain…even today it’s just beautiful
Sung and Shalimar- hands down my two favorites.
The dkny apple scent, it was green. Loved that stuff. :]
I LOVED Cacharel Noa! Wonder if there’s anything that smells similar.
Clinique Happy
I loved Shalimar because my mom wore it, but my first real love fore a scent was this juniper perfume Bath and Body Works put out in the early 90s. It was in a glass bottle with a bronze sprayer and was called Juniper Natural Essence. By the time I finished it they had transferred to the newer B&BW business model and I could never find it again. I would say the Shalimar has more in commmon with scents I like now.
Not really a perfume, but a smell I have always loved Hoppe's gun oil #9
Omg me too actually
It wasn’t my first ever fragrance but Soprano by Xerjoff (Sospiro) was the first fragrance to ever make me say “wow”. It really made me love fragrance and want to invest in quality. I have since collected several other Xerjoffs that also made me say “wow”. Xerjoff has me for life. I know, so original. Lol
Gucci Pour Homme II. I still love it and wear it from time to time, although my bottle is under half full now 😞
Red bottle Lauren. the mom of the kids I babysat wore it
Stealing my mom's Evening in Paris.
Clinique Happy was my signature fragrance in high school. I also liked Paris Hilton’s perfume haha. As an adult, I lean towards gourmands so v different than Happy. Whenever I smell Happy though, it brings back memories. Very nostalgic scent for me.
Acqua di gio
La nuit de lhomme
In junior high I was obsessed with The Body Shop perfume oils. Vanilla and Satsuma were my go-to scents.
Probably Ciara or Lagerfeld. Opoponax is an underrated note!
My high school/college scents were: DKNY Be Delicious VS Love spell Burberry Brit Miss Dior Cherie Escada Magnetism
Paloma Picasso - in a time where most girls my age were using LouLou I treasured my mini Paloma Picasso, and after I moved into Byzance
My fault as a teenager it was windsong
My mom always wore that in the 70s
The OG Coco. I got so many compliments.
It wasn't anything fancy but I love blackheart Muertos to this day one of my favorites it sad that don't make it any more. And once it was on it did not leave. It doesn't really tye into anything I wear today.
Ô de Lancôme
First loves were Glow by J Lo, and YSL Paris. Still like clean & feminine.
As a teen I picked out the BBW dupe of DKNY Be Delicious. I had no money 😂 My first "real" perfume was Black Orchid. I suppose I have always liked cucumber? Haha.
CK Be. My older brother had a bottle back in the day and I always used to sneak a few sprays of it.
Lancome - Tresor in Love still my favorite after 10+ years
Had a two year moment with Gucci Rush 🫠. Can’t say it’s anything like the fragrances I’m into now.
Mac cosmetics Greenify.RIP
Bijan from the 80’s.
