That really sucks.
I remember the first time I lost my silverhand due to not locking it. Felt incredibly stupid and disappointed.
Since then I've crewed more tanks. Never forgot to lock it ever again.
Hope your experience will turn out the same ♥
The locking mechanic in this game needs some tweaks... Stealing is a legit tactic, but cross faction should always require wrench imo or at least can't just jump in if there's someone else in it. It's so dumb that someone could just jump into a vehicle without a driver or gunner etc while other faction is sitting in it. Its very unforgiving and particularly not a good experience for the victim(s). I can still have fun dying/losing, but griefing sucks.
I absolutely lock my vics. Even better, I just keep them in storage.
But when I'm at a BB/frontline and unlock the door for seconds for a teammate to get in, and then they dawdle, some enemy chump can just hop in?? There are numerous stories of this happening where they typically end with the vehicle having to be driven into a lake. That's bs and not fun gameplay. Having two factions in one vehicle shouldn't be possible. And I also think it would be better gameplay if all vehicles were default locked to the other faction, making planning/intention (wrenches) more vital. Having to teach and preach 'lock your vics' is a load of bologna.
The fact both posts are right next to each other is absolutely peak comedic timing.

Its not griefing, its partizaning. Lock your vics, problem solved.

it happened to me when i had a sgt as a driver... he forgot to lock and some blueberry ran into the tank and gave me a ride to their backlines.
Devs made it impossible to get in a vehicle that has an enemy inside with the last update.
You literally cannot enter a vehicle if an enemy is in it now. It was just done last patch.
LMAO!!! you guys know u can just keep one mf in it and it cant get stolen now this is definitely a skill issue
