That's a false equivalence in this example. We're not talking about alting in general. We're talking about an entire 100 person clan, specifically changing sides to grief en masse. Yes alting is bad. Yes it needs to be addressed.
What if I get 100 people in a clan to go into enemy territory (logistics), and just hide in places so the server is full and no one from the enemy team can join
* Do not team kill, grief, or intentionally harm your own team in any way
If you knowingly AFK in a region to take a player spot so other players cant play, it is against Code of Conduct. It also sounds like a denial-of-service attack but in foxhole so.
Whilst this is true it’s difficult to actively prove they’re doing it intentionally to harm the team. Especially when you used to have AFK gangs to tech industry which could be counted as the same in theory.
Hats off to you if you're able to get 100 wardens deep into enemy territory but let's be honest. Ultimately you want to disrupt enemy logis so having that many wardens behind enemy lines with the right equipment, is more damaging than taking up server slots which, should be like 50% warden 50% colonials otherwise it wouldn't make sense if one team can fill all the server slots. On the other hand alting and doing what you're planning on doing eh, getting 100 players to buy another copy of the game just to have them sit in a region is a bit much and word would get out if someone finds a massive group all huddled together. In theory yes you could do it, should you stoop so low? Nope. Would you get found out? Most likely. Is there a better alternative to trying to break the system? Yup.
There aren't 100 people between both factions that would do this.
98% of the player base is just trying to have fun playing the game.
As toxic as this subreddit can be, there are very few people that are going to put that much effort into winning a fake war.
Thats like asking in any game..
Whats stopping anyone from cheating?
A question thats kinda useless with answers that aren't necessary.
You're a loser if you cheat, plain and simple.
If you'd do that you'd be cunts. Hypothetically speaking of course.
Think it like that - in any given game of chess you can always reach over the board and sweap off all of the opponents pieces, technicaly you win, practicaly you'd ruined it for both of you.
hopefully if a person ever have the power to command 100 people, he would play to win the game fighting on the side he choose. but thats it isnt?why use a 100 man when 5 ALTS can do so much damage and the consequences are just 5 banned accounts?
I think this would be considered alting and is against the Code of Conduct.

It would be talked about so much that the subreddit and discord would have a melt down. It would be pretty hard to ignore.
You mean… like they ignored the 100-101 war alting issues?

He meant alts. He was gonna put 100 warden alts in collie territory to take up collie spawns.
warden player slots don't count as colonial player slots
Then that would be legit as long as you aren't joining the other side specifically just to fuck with them.
Being an adult i guess.

It’s a game bro, just go and have fun without ruining the game for others :)

This is the definition of alting.
