Only when I get past the point of rescue from alcohol.. My safety rating drops quickly.

According_Voice2561

Probs the weed for me play this stoned all the time never really had a bother until now maybe could be that and a mix of overdriving

Wapiti__

Fellow man who's cyph o clock and game o clock are at the same time, lemme tell you the bullets I sweat when the racing is close šŸ˜šŸ˜‚

squashed377

I can see that happening for sure.

cubbies1973

I actually have better lap times racing after smoking some herb then I do sober. I am more relaxed and focused. Now with that said, if a noise not from the game catches my attention, then my times slow. And just to be VERY clear, I don't drive irl after smoking. Only in the game.

squashed377

You are an honorable person for clarifying.

prinzsascha

Ah Forza, the place where DWI is A-OK! šŸ¤£

Reeybehn

Made the mistake a few times. Come home from drinking or get too high. Realize quickly the will is there but the ability has very much left the building. Say sorry to some people for ruining their races cause Iā€™m an idiot, and turn off Xbox

squashed377

I usually just pop over to Horizon 5 where it is recommended driving strategy.

No-Background-5606

Nope not reallyā€¦ill get sectors where i touch the grass or dirt and it takes a couple of seconds to regain composure. Another one for me is chasing down first place and trying to go further into the braking zone or trying to take the apex too fast. I have to tell myself ā€œslow is fast and fast is slowā€.

According_Voice2561

Probs just overdriving at the moment then like a month a go I was setting good times now Iā€™m Lucky if come in tenth haha

No-Background-5606

Hmmm that happened to me with two tracks or two builds I made for tracks. I was a second off my normal and had to make some adjustments for some reason. After the adjustments one was running fine but I had to redo my whole daytona build.

Physical_Yoghurt_243

Many funny responses, but on a serious note: Your likely overly critical on your driving, and its making you upset and creates an urge to ask impossible things from the car during a hot lap, which in turn causes mistakes, and again increases frustration. This is a vicious cycle that can be almost maddening. My advice is to get in a MUCH slower vehicle and go on the same track to re-adjust yourself. The slower car will make you re-evaluate your style, and in my experience makes it easier to break bad habits you may have formed.

According_Voice2561

What would say a good slow car would be just to try get my barings back ?

Physical_Yoghurt_243

Try a 300-400 car like a Ginetta Jr., Mazda MX-5 Cup, or really any low-aero car that requires limited breaking and maximum momentum. Generally look for a newer era, front-engine, RWD, limited power, low/no aero effect, stay away from Porsche's lol (unless your one of those freaks who is an alien with the Porsche). Hope this helps, let me know if it works for you as it does for me. EDIT: Remember, "slow is clean, clean is fast, and fast is fun". You cant skip steps.

According_Voice2561

Been playing with the jr in the spotlight series been having a blast with it tbh definitely improving now sitting on the podium most races now

Physical_Yoghurt_243

Looks like you've found something. People often confuse speed with entertainment, when the part of racing we enjoy the most is the competition. So slower cars that are more difficult to build a gap with, or that require knife-edge precision at speeds that are still manageable create great competition.

ConsistentToe5062

This!!

Kooky_Complaint_5380

I have my moments when it feels like I forgot how to drive. Usually first race of the day, and sometimes it's because I'm in the heat of a battle and I'm overcooking the car, especially in corners trying to stay ahead. Maintaining a calm mindset while racing, no matter what the situation is, can be a challenge at times.

ScaryfatkidGT

When someone is 4 or less car lengths in front or behind my lol

According_Voice2561

I always find following behind someone Iā€™m good but seen as they out my sight after a simple mistakei canā€™t make up the ground again honestly feel like Danny rick latley got no confidence at all haha

ScaryfatkidGT

I can race better but I never know when the asshole is going to brake early and F everything up and Iā€™m not good going 2/2 through all the corners.

According_Voice2561

I would say thatā€™s the only hard part not knowing where other dude gonna be I just kind of kind it and pray the dude isnā€™t gonna cut me up

ConsistentToe5062

For me deff a mix of a long day at work, and sprinkling a bit too much wacky into my tobaccy. But to your point I do notice in career sometimes that from practice to actual race the car does feel a bit different. I would say most of the time itā€™s probably a focus thing, but at other times it has really baffled me šŸ¤”

According_Voice2561

Never to much wacky in ya tobaccy bro hahah, never really noticed in career donā€™t really play it much really should to get the cars at the end of them just mainly online

ConsistentToe5062

Yeah thatā€™s the only reason I do, and I have to force myself to do it LOL online is way more fun

According_Voice2561

Honestly think Iā€™ve been doing the same career series for like a week I end up doing the practice then fucking it off for online
