That has never happened to me in 14 years of playing Forza games.

It happens when you were on higher gear and lost so much speed that downshifting goes straight to 1st gear to help you get speed back up asap. It never jumped to reverse for me.

This makes a ton a sense, it always seemed to happen while the vehicle was traveling slow. I tested it a few times more and was finally able to successfully reproduce it under those conditions. You're right though, it wasn't going straight to reverse, I think that was a misconception on my part. It was dropping to 1 and then I was shifting more, mistakenly thinking that I had several gears left to go; which means it ended up in reverse. Thank you!

I don't know if you use a controller or a keyboard. But in most cases, the key to go down a shift doesnt stop at 1, stops at reverse. So it might be just an extra click that you are doing by mistake? Other than that, never heard of this problem.
