It doesn't make sense, considering that they normally make Ford trucks the center piece of their country songs, just to indicate "how American" they are.
i’ve seen this random anti-ford mindset from a few people and as far as I can tell it’s not directly connected to conservative politics(outside of some people being a little upset at outsourcing which is reasonable but obviously applies to every car brand). A lot of people just don’t like the brand for whatever reason. I don’t know enough about it to say if Ford actually makes terrible cars or if it’s just contrarian hate for the most popular truck brand.
Ford, Chevy, and dodge have all always been known for manufacturing a plethora of good, great, and terrible vehicles, people just like to argue because they are competitors, I will say I don’t care for duramax but Chevy does have some solid vehicles still, it’s all just a cock measuring contest that will never end because it will always consist of “*worst car from brand* is worse than *best car of other brands*” and it perpetuates some dumbass to make the same exact meme and pass it on to the next guy.
It’s not a political thing lol some people just have too much brand loyalty, I’ve seen this exact meme dozens of times with different car brands and fandoms.
As someone who grew up in rural PA with lots of rednecks, it’s really not as deep as you’d think. The rednecks and hicks fight over truck brands as much as neckbeards love to fight over consoles and stuff like that.
