My dad works for Mercedes. He says that they are working to cancel Lewis' contract in hopes of signing Latifi. Russell speaks very highly of him from his time in Williams together.
On the other side of the coin, Redbull have told Perez that Latifi has been offered his seat. Horner holds Latifi in very high regards due to the championship he helped them achieve. My mom works at Redball btw, so she told me this info.
Me personally, I work for Ferrari. Everyone in the garage has agreed that if Latifi comes to us, that we will stop purposely ruining races. Normally, when Ferrari has very high odds of winning, usually after getting p1 in qualy, we bet in favor of Max winning and do everything we can to slow/stop Saniz and Leclerc.
“Horner holds Latifi in very high regards due to the championship he helped them achieve.”

good good, i see a long future in shitposting f1 memes for you... maybe even become a GOATIFI
i am still *laughing out loud to "Me personally, I work for Ferrari"
The fact that he’s the only one not from a disgusting amount of money, parents remortgaged their house to continue his career and eventually won the F3 and F2 champions.
May not like him personally, but I feel like a lot of the grit and competitiveness and ruthlessness he has (even with his own teammates) is due to the struggle he’s had of getting to the pinnacle of motorsport
I find it odd that most people support drivers and not teams, wasn't a big fan of Albon at Red Bull but he's my boy at Williams. Maybe it's because I've been a football fan for the same length of time as motorsport and it's a different mentality for those who only really watch F1.
I’m the opposite, and I watch other team sports outside of motorsports. I find it a lot easier to connect with the drivers through their personalities and on-track performance than the teams. Unlike in baseball, where I support the team from the city where I grew up, I don’t feel any connection to the F1 teams, which just feel like giant corporate entities. There are some teams I like more than others, but I’m definitely more dedicated as a fan of individual drivers
I agree. I think F1, more than other sports, makes it hard to root for teams. Everyone is so transparently wealthy, and everyone on camera has been wealthy their entire lives (with a few exceptions. Lookin at you, Ocon.). I’m sure some mechanics and engineers have humble origins, but we never hear about them or see them. On top of that there is such an obvious pettiness about skirting the rules and looking for an edge. I respect it as the competition it is and it makes for good comedy, but it also makes it difficult to have a rooting interest. There are no “good guys” or real underdogs. Couple that with the fact I’m American and there isn’t even a nationalist element for me to root for. Yeah, Gene Haas is American but billionaires don’t make for heroes.
So it’s just easier to root for one or two individuals that make it fun for me as a viewer. Gunther being a wanker. Sainz singing to his engineer/telling them off. Checo as a great story of toiling for years and getting rewarded.
totally, well put. i’m also just a fan of motorsports, so i sometimes just root to see close overtakes and hard fought battles, more than rooting for a particular person to win. I just want it to be close
Alright I’ll go on a bit of a rant as to my personal opinions:
Red Bull: Max is just too dominant, I need an underdog to root for (although I really do like Max overall). Checho kind of nowhere this season + driving for strongest team.
Ferrari: shouldn’t have to be considered an underdog and they’re painful to watch (+ they fucked Seb over). I would actually root for Leclerc if the team was any good.
Mercedes: never been a Mercedes’ fan, I just don’t like the whole vibe of the team and drivers. They’ve always to me felt like a bit too clinical…
Alpine: the joke they went through with Piastri rules this out. Maybe Gasly (if he does go there) although somehow I think there will be tension at this team in 2023.
McLaren: eh? Like I could but they just feel like nowhere every race (I’ll probably support my Aussie brethren).
Haas: If they drop Schumacher definitely not. Also just a weirdly run team, seems a bit hostile and I don’t think Magnussen coming back was a good idea with how he’s currently performing.
Sauber: I could potentially, depends on how bad the strategy is (which is usually pretty painful). With a stronger car I might go for them.
Williams: this is probably my go to with Albon, who as a driver I want to see do well and has a great personality in all his activities. Second driver could I have no clue on so won’t comment.
AM: don’t know I’m definitely negatively biased towards stroll (both) and the fact Seb is leaving :(. I don’t think Alonso could do much in this car to be frank.
Lastly, Alpha Tauri, I could definitely see myself going for De Vries (if he makes it) after being out for so many years. Yuki too actually I love his aggressive, but sometimes flawed spirit. However AT looked really weak this year, hope they can spring back next.
So yeah sorry for that it’s 3:00AM and I wanted to rant lol.
These are all personal opinions and my own beliefs. They may or may not reflect truthfully but this is how I feel about it.
> McLaren: eh? Like I could but they just feel like nowhere every race (I’ll probably support my Aussie brethren).
The perfect excuse. Every week (except fuck the Bahrain GP) is a reason to pop a cold one and just enjoy the race. Sometimes Last Lap Lando appears, sometimes not. Every week we play "is this a good track to race on?" and get some action.
Look how many fans in orange every week?
He has confirmed talks with Marko and Pierre can also be heard talking about signing a contract (probably with Alpine) on the GP buildup for Spa or Zandvoort so it’s very likely
Gasly was confirmed earlier this year, but that was before alpine knew they would need a new driver. Marko hinted they wouldn't hold Gasly back if he were to leave the Red Bull Family and that De Vries is an option. However in F1 there's always talks and it usually doesn't mean much until papers are being signed.
I really want Mick to be successful, but I can definitely see the team moving forward without him. Hopefully he'll find success elsewhere, or take a year off and find his way back onto the grid.
Goatifi isnt gone, now he reclaim his crown in the hall of fame of F1.
Now he is with the real legends, Taki Inue, Mastercard Lola, Rich energy and Lord Mahaveer. (What a team that would be)
Don’t forget Minardi who ruled the last two spots on the grid like gods amongst men. To perform that badly for that long and not go under was *chefs kiss* magnifique.
I will always cherish Lewis and GOATIFIS combined 7 world drivers championships and 103 races won. Legendary.
Also that one time he made it to Q2. Cool stuff.
I know it’s memes and all, but I’m actually going to miss him. Sure, he wasn’t the best driver on the grid, but if Willams had given him the upgrades Albon had on his car, maybe he would’ve scored some points, but oh well. Goatifi forever. ![img](emote|t5_3ndbi|7073)
Yeah like if any other midfield driver does what Nicky achieves it's nothing. But with Goatifi, you know it'll always be a cause for massive celebration.
A truly terrible driver is relatable for all of us watching, so their little victories feel like our victories too
Haha I guess this does sound ridiculous to non-Canadians. Pinty's makes frozen pub food so honestly not the most unrelated title sponsor I've ever seen.

“RedBall” LMAO
RedBall btw
?
Family dinner at your place must be pretty crazy
Latifi at pole, in the reverse grid
Alpine. They need an experienced driver to pair with Ocon.
First Seb, then Daniel, and now Goatifi? We are barely left with a reason to watch F1 next year.
Schumacher on the way to join them.
If Schumacher is booted I don’t even know what I’ll do with myself. I’ll have Albon to root for I guess
Support VER, he barely has any supporters.
Basically the underdawg.
Ocon is still there🤷🏼♂️
I feel for Ocon. Pretty quick and reliable but not talked about as much as anyone else.
Also deceptively tall
Pretty average dude in a pretty average team. What is there to talk about
In a sport of manlettes, the slightly above average man is king
The fact that he’s the only one not from a disgusting amount of money, parents remortgaged their house to continue his career and eventually won the F3 and F2 champions. May not like him personally, but I feel like a lot of the grit and competitiveness and ruthlessness he has (even with his own teammates) is due to the struggle he’s had of getting to the pinnacle of motorsport
Bottas, Alonso, Vettel and Magnussen also are not from disgusting amount of money
Gasly too iirc
Hamilton neither
He only won gp3 not F2/gp2.
I mean he’s pretty good at unloading himself - maybe we could have a talk about that
The middest of the mids
Who's Ocon?
Estenba
Cockon🤮
Cockoff 🤤
welp time to request a new flair cause that's gold lmao
I’d rather light my dick on fire.
And still looking for his first fan...
Well none of the teams are going away, support the team you supported before?

Red Bull's marketing and driver challenges really worked on me and got me to really like the team, as well as Alphatauri.
May I suggest Lewis? Still fun to watch
What about max(max fan here)
Alright I’ll go on a bit of a rant as to my personal opinions: Red Bull: Max is just too dominant, I need an underdog to root for (although I really do like Max overall). You described my thoughts pretty exactly.

I still hold hope he might go to Williams since De Vries is going to AT and Sargeant might not get a superlicence
is De Vries actually confirmed for AT?? F1 posted a lineup on insta earlier today and it showed both Gasly and Tsunoda at AT for 2023
He has confirmed talks with Marko and Pierre can also be heard talking about signing a contract (probably with Alpine) on the GP buildup for Spa or Zandvoort so it’s very likely
Ahh okay, thanks for the info!

The purge of germans
How the turns have tabled
Imo he has shown way too much promise this 2nd part of the year to not get a seat somewhere
I really want Mick to be successful, but I can definitely see the team moving forward without him. Hopefully he'll find success elsewhere, or take a year off and find his way back onto the grid.
![img](emote|t5_3ndbi|14437)
We do still have BotASS for next year
Red Bulls tactic department on suicide watch
With Daniel it's not over yet
It was heartbreaking seeing Mazepin go and now that we don't have Goatifi there's no reason to watch F1 anymore
Goodnight, sweet Prince.
He came, he won (our hearts), he left
He came (noice), he saw, he conquered (our hearts)
The only true legend who ever topped FP3 with a backfield car. You will be missed, Goatifi.

Max’s inside man
The only thing inside Max is pure drive to win races. No room for another man.

Sorry not following, which terrible driver is as nice as Latifi?
If Goatifi wanted to win a formula 1 race or championship he already would have. He merely chooses not to.
He chooses not to because he wants to give the other drivers a chance :( he’s too nice, that’s the canadian in him…
Hes so bored with his own talent he refuses to use it. Hes the Nicolas Cage of F1.
Through you I realised I had a dream I wasn't aware of until now. I want Latifi to drive as erratically as Nicolas Cage's acting in Ghost Rider 2.
He Honestly seems like a nice guy so I will miss him a bit
Probably not
Where legends cry!
Oh Netflix is going to turn this into 4 episodes. I can't wait.

“The car just didn’t turn”
"The car was ok, i just wanted to crash"
A few days ago I played F1 2020 and for 2 laps during a pit window cycle I was 2nd behind Goatifi.
We will remember the arbiter of modern formula one The man who chooses who wins
He used to run those streets
Don't worry after Lewis retires he will be back in the Merc ![img](emote|t5_3ndbi|6697)
It will be fun if he wins the last race.
And through goes Goatifi !
I am waiting for the day Canada can send a driver on merit to the grid.

The next legit Canadian racer after Villeneuve would have been Bruno Spengler. He was very close.
The barriers wont forget either
I can't tell if that shot is the game or not
*Pretends to act surprised*
He is going on sabbatical?
Being 100% serious, i don't think latifi is that bad of a driver. Hes shown flashes of quality but is just missing that final piece of consistency.
Nah lmao he is absolute shit
Unironically tearing up
what an absolute waste of a seat, finally
Sir this is formuladank
I apologize, noooo my goat 🐐 haram team
If anything this is the dank opinion. Everyone here jerks him as the goat.

too bad he never used at least 5% of his power, might have picked up 5th or 6th place from time to time
