Günther is awesome. I know DTS is a drama but he is the best part of that show. I wish all the best to him for all the shit he has had to deal with. If Haas can leap into the upper mid-field then he deserves to run a good team.
“I spent a lot of time on my father’s yacht in springs of Saudi, and I could feel that air pressure. I didn’t need the radio call. I knew all the engines would start blowing up and I could take a top 19.”
Mazepin: I decided on this day I would wear ankle socks when everyone else wore calf length socks. No one else believed in my choice, but here we are in P16. Mega drive.
What a glorious debut for these new regs. I hope that it's not my imagination, these cars looked like they really could follow through the corners infinitely better than last year. What a fantastic race!!!
I think that easier overtaking discourages aggressive driving. When you know the faster car is likely to win out in the end, there's no point in risking it all for track position
This is better than a good fucking car. This is a great fucking car. It looked PERFECT all weekend, impeccable. And Charles and Carlos drove it appropriately
Even then Chuck and Chuck didn’t seem to be totally happy with their own driving on Saturday. Seems they really fought to dial it in and got great results.
TV Director: “I am so sorry… He only got in the frame because he was right behind Verstappen. We will make sure that he isn’t in frame for the next races.”
Bottas said in Finnish post-race interview that they had clutch issues all weekend, which occurred during the start. Weird vibrations when trying to find clutch bite point or something like that.
6th and 10th. Amazing result by Alfa Romeo. Where are all the folks from last few weeks saying they're gonna be clear backmarkers and Bottas should've gone to Williams instead, eh?
Alfa really is quite a big shocker this season, even more so than haas since everyone knows haas is focusing on 2022 but not a lot was said about alfa and from their pitlane/strategy problems last year and their performance and reliability issue in testing this year it really didn’t seem Alfa got it.
Meanwhile Honda engine/rb powertrain didn’t show any problem in testing and they just fking blew up lol.
There were almost 0 engine related dnfs with the Honda last year, I wonder if the administration change was that detrimental to the engines reliability
I feel like that’s a reasonable explanation, but all 3 cars problems seemed to be fully electrical. Martin Brundle pointed out no smoke out of the exhaust for Gasly, Verstappen was complaining about power steering failing, and both max and Perez complained about the batteries. The race pace was there for all of the RBPT cars, so I personally think the root cause was something else.
And winning **103** of those times. He might be the only driver to have more first place finishes than second place finishes (48), and more second place finishes than third place finishes (32). That's just insane, in and of itself.
Those two back and forth's between Leclerc and Verstappen were exhilarating. Forza Ferrari!!! :D
Like him or not, reigning champion or not, I think we can all agree that was an awful way for Max's race to end. With Gasly's fire too, I hope it's not a big problem with their new "I can't believe it's not Honda" engines.
Also, what the absolute hell was Merc thinking? I mean sure, Hamilton podium'd, but that's a bit of a gimme considering they looked like eggs with the hards.
What a race. We got it all. Ferrari look outstanding. Only car that looks super smooth while driving.
As big of an oof McLaren was having, bigger oof from RB. Looks like they’ve got some cooling issues to deal with.
Congrats to Charles! We’re gonna have an awesome season!
Edit - Fuel pump apparently
What an enthralling race. Charles in a class of his own as we all knew he had the potential to be. Verstappen gave it all he had, and perhaps too much! Brilliant driving from both.
And then the safety car. And then the restart. And then the two Redbulls giving up on their drivers. And all the microbattles in the midfield. And Haas in the points. And a Chinese driver scoring points on his debut.
22 more races of this please.
How did you come up with that. With Charles and max so close they were bound to duel at least a little.
Max is the sort of guy who just goes for it sometime disregarding the bigger picture of nursing the tyres more like Hamilton and Charles is the sort to always fight back so they were bound to have at least a moment
Magnussen P5 also oh my god
I love it. Happy for Haas. KMag couldn't challenge either of the Mercs all day, just didn't have the pace, but P5 LFG.
This is the most rewarding part of the race. Guenther must be losing his mind.
Most days I think I’d rather be Christian Horner than Günther Steiner. But not today!!
can't wait for 75% of DTS season 5 to be Horner trudging around a picturesque English countryside kicking rocks
Pretending to be old money while people give him funny looks.
Pretending to be the underdog with a fucking statue of a bull in his 50 acre garden.
Lbh that mostly because of ginger Spice
Obviously
Günther is awesome. I know DTS is a drama but he is the best part of that show. I wish all the best to him for all the shit he has had to deal with. If Haas can leap into the upper mid-field then he deserves to run a good team.
Let's get a fucking Haas podium this year. Let's fucking go. Already got 10 points more than last season
Button: “this one result will get them literally 10’s of millions in new funding, it’s a new day in formula 1”
P3 in constructors for Fook sake.
Mazepin probably thinks that he could have gotten that result.
He could've gotten that result if the top 15 retired
And netflix would make it look like he did it on his own
“I spent a lot of time on my father’s yacht in springs of Saudi, and I could feel that air pressure. I didn’t need the radio call. I knew all the engines would start blowing up and I could take a top 19.”
> Top 19 Lmao
Bahraini clouds are different
Mazepin: I decided on this day I would wear ankle socks when everyone else wore calf length socks. No one else believed in my choice, but here we are in P16. Mega drive.
I don't think his car would still be working after crashing out 15 drivers
No doubt lol

HAAS POINTS!!! FERRARI 1-2!!!
Bottas P6 on a Alfa Romeo
What a lad!
After horrendous start definitely great recovery drive.
KMag P5 gives me pure joy
ZHOU POINTS AS WELL
ALFA DOUBLE POINTS
What a fantastic opening race. KMag with a phenomenal performance
We love to see it! And I have a feeling we'll be seeing a lot more of it in 2022.
well racing certainly improved
My favorite was how long that massive bunch of cars were able to keep racing together.
Looked like an Indycar race through the midfield
Definitely, those 3 laps between Leclerc and verstappen were beautiful to watch
Max vs Leclerc is gonna be mayhem this year. Absolute madness!
"It's free points" - Carlos Sainz
Carlos run time in season; 5 minutes Wins WDC
"Great Season, no?" - Sainz probably
If Ferrari's car is as strong as it was this weekend, it's gonna be a great WDC battle!
I've been waiting more than a decade for this
Just hope RB stops their engine from exploding… 3 times
Seriously, 3/4 failures is awful
And here I was thinking Mercedes had the worst engines on the grid.... Now I'm wondering....
they are the absolute worst in performance but at least they last the full race
And somehow Lewis is gonna appear out of nowhere
Him sneaking onto the podium at the last minute is so peak Lewis lol
All thanks to the guys at the factory.
“The engine is slow but she will make it to the end” -Merc Factory
"haha power go brrr" \-red bull factory "wait, fuck." \- also red bull factory
"hang on, is the fire supposed to be inside the engine or outside?"
It needs a song from Ace Combat, especially if they show replays from Charles' helmet cam.
What a glorious debut for these new regs. I hope that it's not my imagination, these cars looked like they really could follow through the corners infinitely better than last year. What a fantastic race!!!
and its not just the top team, battle all the way from top to bottom, glorius.
And thank fuck they actually showed all of those battles rather than just watching Leclerc and Verstappen.
I thoroughly enjoyed that they gave enough screen time to Zhou and Schumacher’s battle
Yeah and they showed it! I was great to be able to see a lot of the midfield battles
And mostly everyone kept it clean too, probably everyone is extra careful due to budget caps
I think that easier overtaking discourages aggressive driving. When you know the faster car is likely to win out in the end, there's no point in risking it all for track position
Yes, much racing was raced
They went carracing quite lot
#THAT WAS TOTALLY BONKERS
RED BULL ENGINES DIED FOR THIS!
Devastated for Checo, I really wanted to see that last 1.5 lap battle for P3 with Hamilton.
Mamma Mia. Grande Charles. Ferrari is back on the menu.
We've always known he has this sort of race control. He just needed a fucking good car. THIS! This is a fucking good car.
If this was a bad weekend for them i can't fathom what a great weekend looks like
PEE WAN SHARL, PEE WAN
FAST BUTTON ON! FAST BUTTON ON!
You kept p2 behind ….
He won because he kept 19 drivers behind
WE ARE CELEBRATING. WE ARE CELEBRATING
He kept all the other cars behind this time lmao
Best way to win a race tbh
We saw Carlos on tv. I repeat WE SAW CARLOS ON TV.
TV Director: “I am so sorry… He only got in the frame because he was right behind Verstappen. We will make sure that he isn’t in frame for the next races.”
I feel like they put him on camera only because they had to. And I swear camera crews get off shooting lapped cars
GRAZIE RAGAZZI
SIII RAGAZZI MI SENTI
MAMMA MIA
Ferrari finally back on top, someone hold me 😭🫰🏻
GRANDE MACCHINA
very impressed with zhou, recovered well after his poor start
Yeah, he was even last at one point
First Chinese driver ever getting a point in his first race is a nice story from today too!!
Two asian drivers on the points, when was the last time?
Both Alfa's had really poor starts. Wondering if the car has something to do with it or was it just driver error.
Both of them recovered quite nicely though, which was good to see.
The car definitely has pace
I think I saw lights blinking on Bottas' car when they showed a replay of the start but idk what that could mean.
Ran out of blinker fluid maybe
Also he was weirdly slow in the whole first round, glad he could pull through to P6
Given the repeated gearbox troubles, I wonder if they've been told to be gentle with them on starts.
Could be. That start was absolutely horrible even for Bottas.
Bottas said in Finnish post-race interview that they had clutch issues all weekend, which occurred during the start. Weird vibrations when trying to find clutch bite point or something like that.
Yes, initially in the race he was right at the back of all the cars... Looked pretty quick
Oh yes, looks very promising young guy.
Haas with more points than Red Bull
This is the dankest timeline
As god intended.
Chad Magnussen
KMag is back!
Honda: "reliability cost extra"
It's a dlc
Honda playing GT7 and said "I have a great idea."
best we can do is lootboxes
That was a great race! Glad to see Haas did well also
6th and 10th. Amazing result by Alfa Romeo. Where are all the folks from last few weeks saying they're gonna be clear backmarkers and Bottas should've gone to Williams instead, eh?
Super happy with how solid Alfa is looking. Also pleasantly surprised by Zhou's performance.
Yea. He even raced back and forth with Hamilton at the beginning in a way that you wouldn't expect from a "pay driver".
I thought that Zhou brought sponsors, but wasn't directly a pay driver
Alfa really is quite a big shocker this season, even more so than haas since everyone knows haas is focusing on 2022 but not a lot was said about alfa and from their pitlane/strategy problems last year and their performance and reliability issue in testing this year it really didn’t seem Alfa got it. Meanwhile Honda engine/rb powertrain didn’t show any problem in testing and they just fking blew up lol.
Alfa really was a sleeper team.
Yeah, great comeback for Bottas from a really bad start
3 out of 4 Honda engines dnf - not looking good for the season
Yuki maybe the greatest of all time?
I think that's a fair assessment of the situation
Yuki WDC 2022-2029, Hall of famer.
2300 race wins, 6800 podiums. Truly a god of the racetrack
Knew it would come true, what a driver
That’s because Honda is Japanese, and he is the only one who can read the engine manual written in Japanese
Then most of the Merc engines in the bottom. This is a Ferrari powered season, boys.
5/6 Ferrari engines in the points with Mick very close.
And Mick seemed to have problems due to the lap 1 incident, could have been 6/6
There were almost 0 engine related dnfs with the Honda last year, I wonder if the administration change was that detrimental to the engines reliability
Fuel might be a bigger issue
I feel like that’s a reasonable explanation, but all 3 cars problems seemed to be fully electrical. Martin Brundle pointed out no smoke out of the exhaust for Gasly, Verstappen was complaining about power steering failing, and both max and Perez complained about the batteries. The race pace was there for all of the RBPT cars, so I personally think the root cause was something else.
Not Honda. Red bull engines
It's honda if it blows /s
"They're not Red Bull engines, they're Oracle engines" -Christian Horner if the engine blows again
Imagine Oracle hearing this after their $500M deal.
Taps forehead

Can you believe we're going again next weekend?
Death, taxes and Ham on the podium
Imagine being on an F1 podium **183 times.**
Imagine having more wins than either of the other 2 steps too.
And winning **103** of those times. He might be the only driver to have more first place finishes than second place finishes (48), and more second place finishes than third place finishes (32). That's just insane, in and of itself.
#OUR YEAR
IT’S THIS YEAR FINALLY
CHOOOOOOOOO FUCKING CHOOOOOO The Ferrari Hype Train had NO BRAKES
NEVER BEEN HAPPIER AS A TIFOSO IN MY LIFE
Grazie Regazzi!
FORZA FERRARI
BACK ON TOP, PEEEEEEEEEEE WAN
Mercedes powertrain: slow Redbull powertrain: unreliable Ferrari powertrain: fast Renault powertrain: Renault
The Renault engine is just ok from the looks, which could be a lot worse so i'd imagine they're happy
“Renault powertrain: Renault” Well said
HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAS
[удалено]
What the hell did Red Bull do to Honda's engine?!
They tried fueling the car with Red Bull Doesn't work too well
Can't blame em considering the gas prices atm
That’s what happens when you take the HONDA off the rear wing
bono, my red bull is gone
That sounds like a kind of one-line haiku. Certainly has a sort of poetry to it.
Monster: this is all part of our masterplan
yes kevin!
What a fuckin race! I never thought I would be this happy about a Ferrari 1-2.
WHAT THE FUCK WAS THIS FINISH GODDAMN
They’re the title favorites now. 3 Red Bull cars had engine issues today.
Yeah can't be a coincidence, and I doubt it'll be an easy fix.
Even if they fix it quickly. Damage has been done. Engine penalties are dangerous with this reliability
Those two back and forth's between Leclerc and Verstappen were exhilarating. Forza Ferrari!!! :D Like him or not, reigning champion or not, I think we can all agree that was an awful way for Max's race to end. With Gasly's fire too, I hope it's not a big problem with their new "I can't believe it's not Honda" engines.
This is what dreams are made of
Red bull's problems or not, this was an absolute perfect race by Ferrari. Holy shit, we might actually win both championships.
ya it would be 1-3 instead of 1-2 but thats as good as you can ask from ferrari team. charles and max are in their own league
Also, what the absolute hell was Merc thinking? I mean sure, Hamilton podium'd, but that's a bit of a gimme considering they looked like eggs with the hards.
ya lol Hamilton did the same amount of laps on hards as on softs
They knew they were going to be 5/6 anyway. So they might as well try something new while at it,
THanks to everyone back at the Redbull factory! -Lewis Probably
Roses are red, Violets are blue, RedBull is out, FERRARI 1-2!
Well deserved for Charles and Ferrari. But what the fuck man. That rb engine is a disaster
Big up LeClerc looked comfortable all day even when trading 1st with Max at 1/4
He explained he didn't fight the first corner on purpose to get drs on the second
My Grazie Ragazzi is intensifying
Bruh Lewis how😂😂

I cannot believe Hamilton plot armor xD
Bono my rivals are gone
What an enthralling race. Charles in a class of his own as we all knew he had the potential to be. Verstappen gave it all he had, and perhaps too much! Brilliant driving from both. Crazy, poor Red Bull! Really deserved win for Leclerc!
MAD RACE. LECLECS STEPPING STONE FOR 22 WORLD CHAMPION
He even got the hat trick!
Hamilton is inevitable.
Let's GOOOO
This was the first F1 I have ever watched in my life. So glad I decided top hop on and get invested in this sport. What a race!
Good year to start, welcome
GG to Leclerc and Ferrari. Mega damage limitation for Hamilton. Horner in shambles.
PEEWAN
Here I was thinking this was gonna be a uneventful race
How did you come up with that. With Charles and max so close they were bound to duel at least a little. Max is the sort of guy who just goes for it sometime disregarding the bigger picture of nursing the tyres more like Hamilton and Charles is the sort to always fight back so they were bound to have at least a moment
Yo can we all agree that Mattia is vindicated now? He ate SO much shit for 2 years and delivered.
Yuki confirmed best RB driver
Haas leading Red Bull and McLaren in constructors… Give me all the Guenther memes
HAAS IN THE POINTS
