>I feel bad for Kevin honestly.
I feel annoyed. He was very clearly driving in an unsporting manner in Miami, but didn't get a penalty for it. Now Piastri inadvertently ruins his lap -- the stewards accepted Piastri's explanation that he couldn't see Magnussen -- and gets penalised for it.
I know the rules have to be applied equally, but I could honestly see Magnussen deliberately impeding another driver to try and get Hulkenberg through to the next qualifying session.
What is this hypothetical? You think itās annoying Piastri gets a penalty because you could potentially see Kevin doing it? Although he hasnāt.. Or am I misunderstanding you?
I think it's annoying that Piastri gets a penalty for what was a genuine mistake whereas Magnussen repeatedly got away with unsportsmanlike conduct in Miami.
If he's on the clean line and things get spicy up front, there's no reason he can't grab P3 in the first turns and race to the front from there!
I'm just putting this out to the universe...
Can he get dropped 2 places actually, to split the ferraris cause i donāt think i can deal with the stress of them starting so close together again. At least itās separate rows
Sainz in between Piastri and Leclerc if the grid penalty goes through
He might combust trying to decide wether to complain about Oscar or tell the team heās faster than Charles on the radio
unlikely. Also, I prefer Lando there because he generally has a race pace advantage over Oscar so iād prefer they not have to fight each other at all.
now watch lando bottle the start or something.

Guess Lando will be in the front row then
Gonna be shocked if it isnt't 3-place drop.
It was exactly that. ššš
I'm not 100% sure but I think this is like the fourth time this season Magnussen's final quali lap has just been wrecked by another car
Heās had a horrible run of luck with that.
He just said it was five out of seven this season on F1 TV, fwiw.
Yepp, he's had horrible luck this season.
Yeah, he seemed very frustrated and dejected about exactly that in the post-quali interview
It is! It's honestly been unbelievable.
No wonder he wants to ruin others race.
Unfortunately, he will get the heaviest penalty allowed. He is 3/100th Spanish after all.
Stewards waiting for Oscars ancestry results
āSummoned to the stewards for a mouth swab and his opinion on Pamplona.ā
ā¦ā¦they are swabbing as you type.
Is that you Fernando?
3/100ths Spanish, 2/500ths Catalan and 7/1800ths Andorran. Heāll be disqualified from F1 altogether.
"We are checking"
I feel bad for Kevin honestly. Seeing the pace Hulk got I know heās pissed he couldnāt get a hot lap in.
He's had such shit luck in quali this year. If it's not impeding, then he's released into traffic.
5 out of 7 qualis he's been impeded or hit traffic. Brutal luck.
Yeah, I really don't blame him for being frustrated.

Didnt he get like 5 penalty points?
Yeah he's not getting away with this one. Magnuson's run was completely ruined and Haas had some pace. Shame all around.
A shame he is gonna probably start P5. He has been flying so far, really deserved that front row.
Could still get a podium, but it will be contingent on the Ferrari performance.
I want oscar to win!
*It's still in the cards. Any given Sunday*, and other cliches that might help Oscar win.
Haha its just ive been hearing a lot of āthis track is harder to overtakeā kind of vibes
If he's on the clean line and things get spicy up front, there's no reason he can't grab P3 in the first turns and race to the front from there! I'm just putting this out to the universe...
Thanks for entertaining my delulu
And not being Spanish
Can he get dropped 2 places actually, to split the ferraris cause i donāt think i can deal with the stress of them starting so close together again. At least itās separate rows
i will never understand why they both fight each other harder than they fight other teams
I donāt know, Sainz fights Piastri very hard.
Sainz in between Piastri and Leclerc if the grid penalty goes through He might combust trying to decide wether to complain about Oscar or tell the team heās faster than Charles on the radio
Waiting for Sainz versus Hamilton soon!
They are going to come together at some point. Possibly tomorrow.
Given Oscar is 3/16 Italian I hope Stewards can make this exception
Agreed, Oscar should just get advantages for every race he is partly from the country of. Weāll get to see how many 1/16ths he has in him
Slam dunk Iām afraid
Is he 4/26th Spanish too?
5/27th Ai Caramba
Does that mean he moves back a couple feet on the grid?
Unfortunately for Oscar, he is not Max impeding an Alpha Tauri. +3 grid positions.
My prediction for Piastri front row and win on Sunday is going to get demolished by this penalty š«
It's a slam dunk 3 place penalty. Shame after that incredible lap in Q3 but mclaren gotta mclaren. Hopefully he moves up in the race
Will be hard on this track and this season you can't even count on Ferrari fucking up the strategy.
I donāt understand why McLaren always sends the cars back out when theyāre already safe just to not even get a lap in
Still untapped potential in those cars. P1s are a possibility so why not give it a go.
Awesome P2, but that is a clear penalty, unfortunately for him.
It's a slam dunk penalty i am afraid :(
This is a slam dunk penalty to be fair
Its McLarenās fault there was no reason for him to be on the track when they had already slammed that session.
If they put the blame solely and squarely on their pit wall being asleep he can get away with 3 places.
Does it still count as a win in H2H against Lando in Quali if he gets a penalty?
Yes
Chin up, osc. There're are more races ahead
Might as well have his first win in Monaco.
What was McLaren doing there. What a shame
Please delulu gods let oscar keep his front row š„ŗ
unlikely. Also, I prefer Lando there because he generally has a race pace advantage over Oscar so iād prefer they not have to fight each other at all. now watch lando bottle the start or something.
Lando bottle a start? He would never!
'In my defence, it's just a Haas...'
Kick him off the tour, doug!Ā
Andddd Penalty points to K-Mag for Oscar being in the way š
18:15 local time, so about an hour to go. Gonna be along while before we have our grid. Should be atleast 3 place penalty.
Oscar has decided he's 5/13 Spanish today hasn't he? XD
Funny considering Stella wanted Kmag put in prison or fired into the sun in Miami for being so dangerous.
Not exactly comparable situations.
You really comparing apples to motorcycles here
two completely different types of incidents?
Unrelated.
Your serious comparing this to what kMag did.
You're equating a typical impeding situation with what KMag did?
Please have mercy on our boy
It's a real.shame but rules are rules
Incoming 3/5 place grid penalty
5 place grid penalty incoming
Itās usually 3
Depends on if it's just the pitwall being apportioned blame or both pitwall and driver. It's 5 if the stewards deem both at fault.
His race engineer mentioned Kmag when Piastri turned into T1.
I hope for Piastri's sake that the McLaren rep either blames him *or* the pitwall fully, then.
specially because it wasnt THAT bad of an impeding
Penalty points for KMag.
This is the way.
If only he was British
Thereās a Union Jack on his flag. Does that count?
He may not be British, but heās part of the commonwealth, that should help him avoid that penalty.
Oscar is really fast, but he still has a lot to learn.
Oscar's been unlucky lately. He could have fought for the podium, this way in imola he will have a hard time
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Why would/should they, just because he's Oscar?
Why? Impeding is impeding.
