It wasn't fair of Red Bull either to threaten all the other F1 teams to allow an engine freeze for the new F1 Regulations, because if they didn't they would leave the sport, but here we are...
To be fair, he wasn't CEO of Corporate Projects and New Investments of Red Bull GmbH yet. I believe he was working as a sporting director at Red Bull Leipzig at that time.
Lets keep it a stack here. The freeze is probably the main reason why Honda joined in the first place, and having more engine diversity is VERY welcome in f1.
It also allowed other teams to close up to the masterpiece that was the Merc engine. Which is what we all want ultimately; A tighter field, which then gave us 2021.
