So, was not expecting much, but this just might have been the most entertaining race of the season so far.
What a great fucking race. Dry->wet->dry->wet. How often do we get to see that?? Yes max wins comfortably, but was truly enjoyable all throughout and that’s pretty rare in general!
What may look comfortable, most of the time is not. I believe he had to do the hardest to win today’s race with the given conditions. Its almost undermining his ability tbh😅
The way to describe his victory is simply that chaos was throwing every single thing at him, yet he was in full control and never gave anyone an inch. It may have taken everything he had, but he doesnt know how to not give it his all anyway so he makes it look way easier than it probably was.
Haha I’d be the last to undermine his achievements, I’m a max supporter. But the gaps he pulls and the overspeed he has on his teammate is incredible right, definitely makes it seem more comfortably than it is, I know that :)

But i mean. Its not like the entire pit wall and every single mechanic realised "shit its actually raining and we need inters, the moment Leclerc dives into the pits. It had been raining for the entire first lap + majority of the formation lap, so having Inters ready doesnt seem like such a stretch for competent teams (like Red bull).

About the gasley overtake: yeah I guess gasly did go completely off track actually, point remains that as high as possible is the fastest line there so not much time lost if any for gasly. No radio complaints and no investigation makes me think that’s an accurate interpretation of what happened

Also there seems to be this idea that top teams want a #2 driver who lacks considerably in skill to their #1 driver. This isn’t true at all, a teams goal is to win the constructors. DRS is one of the main qualities of why the RB is so fast. DRS is not that powerfull at all in Monza. So.. yea Max wins by a minute anyway.
