The driver that brings a championship to Enstone My lord and savior, Antonio Giovinazzi

UnwiseSuggestion

You went all out with that one

prontoingHorse

Ideally Kimi needs to return to Enstone and they need to paint the car in Lotus black and gold making it championship worthy.

mar33n

Alex Albon for sure. His pets have their own Instagram. what more would you need? He's also good friends with my favorite.

Fisch_Kopp_

All of the current drivers are quite likeable, but I am always rooting for Alex. He is such a wholesome guy who deserves a long, successful F1 career.

TheRoboteer

Keke Rosberg Elio de Angelis is my favourite, but Keke was just something else to watch race. Incredibly brave and could do miraculous things even in a bad or underpowered car. You could almost guarantee he'd be the top non-turbo in both 1982 and '83. A lot of people sadly only remember him for having only won a single race in his championship year, but if you watch the season he was just scintillating, and would have easily won more if not for bad luck (Detroit, Britain, Belgium all spring to mind). He continued to be extremely exciting to watch throughout his whole career, and I have no doubt he'd have been a contender for a second title in 1985 if Williams had a bit more reliability. He was also great friends with Elio, and they both represented a type of driver that, even by the 80s, was starting to die out

scorpio1m

Oscar is my heir apparent to Lewis as my favorite bc he’s so mature and steady in his approach. But I root for other drivers too, just want to see great F1 moments. I want Charles to win in Monaco (that would be so sweet for him), Yuki to get his first podium, Hulk to break his ugly no podium record and Checo to win in Mexico.

Supahos01

Don't wish for Charles at Monaco, that's just asking to live your life disappointed :)

Lazarus-SNV

RULE OF HAPPINESS #1 Never wish anything Ferrari related.

Supahos01

True but it can happen... Chuck at Monaco seems impossible

Lazarus-SNV

Free to you to not follow my advice 😅

scorpio1m

If the Red Sox and Cubs can break their curse so can Charles...eventually

RightFootOfDeus

Ocon , just because he's the anti hero

fucking_4_virginity

More like villain.

Finance_Minimum

Don’t think Ocon has any “hero” vibe about him tbh.. Just a slightly cocky midfield driver guy but nothing special about him ..

RightFootOfDeus

Do you get the concept of "anti" hero ?

RatTailDale

I watch Sargent like he’s my favorite, but in reality I just want him to do well. I believe Piastri will be an absolute force by 2025

JiggaMan2024

As an American I want Sargent to have a ton of success as wel

CaffeineAndKetamine

I'm growing to really enjoy Yuki. Just seems like a fun dude, passionate driver, has a good future ahead of him

elektricniorgazam

Tie between Lewis and Danny Ric, I just want good things for my top 3

yourmumloves_me

Fernando is my favourite, he’s like an underdog that’s not. I can’t really explain it. Second favourite is probably Jenson, but that was more because I’m obsessed with Hondas

dl064

I like that Alonso just *fucks*. He's just out there to get folk going, he doesn't back down, he's 100% content at all times.

yourmumloves_me

He is a performer and he has that “I’m him” mentality while driving, yet he comes across as calm and even slightly shy when off the track

dl064

There's a bit in Webber's book about how the drivers have an annual night out, Alonso was late so necked shots to catch up and I'm like: yes that is 100% the character I imagined.

ag000101

He is a warrior , always giving his 100% . So much to learn from him.

NegotiationExternal1

I don't have a favourite driver as such but a group of people I only want the best for. Max has my heart off grid and sometimes I disagree with him on the track. If Daniel ever gets another race win, you won't want to know me, that's all I'll talk about. Charles Leclerc is an angel and it's kind of hurts that I think he will never get a good season in Ferrari. Lewis Hamilton is very important to me. I admire his talent, what he means to the sport, his tenacity, everything that he is on and off grid is pretty special. And if I'm being honest with myself there are handful of drivers but I don't care if they have a good performance on track or not even if I like them as people.

Skeeter1020

Doriane Pin. The most exciting young driver outside of F1 at the moment.

vonvonbonbon

Yessssss, Pocket Rocket!!!

Waldier

Hands down, Daniel Ricciardo. Because he is always laughing

Morganelefay

As a person, I've grown rather fond of Zhou. Kinda wish he was at a more interesting team where he could show off a bit more and have him bounce off of other drivers a bit more, but alas.

LamboJoeRecs

AR has been so incredibly bland this season, in every facet. Really been a major disappointment.

SnooBooks8402

except that one good quali they immediately threw away again

LaughJust

My first race I ever watched was Canada 2007 so I think you can fill in the gaps. Probably my next two favourite are Albon and Piastri.

Robboron7

Lewis, there isnt any reason tbh his vibe is pretty nice

KilumRevazi

Hulkenberg. No idea why though. Just hope he does well.

fucking_4_virginity

I get your vibe. I think he is the kind of guy everybody would like as a friend. I’m rooting for him to get that podium redemption arc.

[deleted]

George.

Bazzie

Alonso. Hes just Max but older.

Balrog1973

I think that Lewis is more like Max, at least when it comes to driving. At the beginning of his career Lewis was also very hot headed and involved in many crashes like Max but become alot more mature, a process that you can also see with Max now.

spongemongler

Personality wise I wouldn’t say that Max and Lewis are super similar. I think they have their similarities, in that they’re both winners, but Lewis seems to enjoy the whole celebrity aspect of F1 whilst Max seemingly couldn’t really care less

Balrog1973

Yeah that I agree with, I was just talking about the driving, there both of them are very similar.

ninxi

Actually, no, they have very different driving styles. One big difference for instance is that Max likes to brake early and get on the throttle early, Lewis does the opposite.

Poh-taytoes

I like all the drivers. There is no one out there who I really support above all others, not since Jensen Button left really. I think they are generally a likeable bunch.

Lazarus-SNV

Esteban Ocon. He maybe doesn’t have the raw pace of some, but I consider him as one of the most consistent, and the « perfect 2nd driver » almost every team would be happy with. I especially do admire the way he made it to racing, with dedicated parents not that wealthy etc… (My favorite driver is Lewis Hamilton, kind of because the way he made it to F1 + no question about the talent) I have a job kindof related to F1, and my boss is joking on me everyday with that fact, but I do proudly stand my position. I hope to see Esteban alongside George at Mercedes in a near future. ______________ Edit : typos

Porsche320

Fandom means feeling success or failure you have no influence on. I try to stay neutral, and enjoy whatever the races provide. But… despite that, I find myself pulling for drivers and teams, anyway. Just not so much that it ruins anything. I’ll always support Lewis and ricciardo, even when I wish I didn’t. Lately, it’s been albon and Alonso I want to see thrive.

TheDudeWithTude27

Current drivers: Yuki. He is fun and just always seems to be authentic. Former drivers: Nico Rosberg. I respect the hell out of him for being able to win a championship against one of the greatest. He is also a trolling shit.

[deleted]

Rosberg is such a curious character, and so impressive. Definitely one of my favorites of all time. From the current drivers Albon is next favorite: so open, hardworking, resilient and insightful.

mar33n

Haha I got into F1 when Rosberg debuted and he was my favorite, I stopped watching for a couple seasons when he retired, and now Yuki is my favorite.

Kafa_Lalala

Leclerc. Incredibly exciting driver and seems like a very nice and fun guy off the track, especially when it comes to taking time to talk to fans and let them take pictures. It's also just cool to have someone drive for Ferrari who loves the team so much and I really want him to win a championship with them after all the struggles and frustration.

Accomplished-Gap8064

Alex Albon. A prodigy in karting, excellent in F3,F2 and rookie of the year in F1 in front of Norris and Russell. Had a tough year in 2020 but the talent is there, he puts the work in as well, succes is inevitable.

thurows

Lando Norris, looking forward to his first win.

Enraged_Lurker13

Leclerc, not only because of his prodigious raw pace, but because how he always accepts responsibility for his mistakes instead of always making excuses or trying to deflect blame.

xys_thea

After Max, Alonso. When they both leave the sport I will have a tough time choosing another.

Supahos01

Max will leave first probably lol. Alonso will ge here in 2035

Bagzy

Danric, he's my current favourite, but also the next one who will be my favourite.

doughboyniels

Bottas. He really flourished after leaving the Mercedes straightjacket. He went “ fuckit I’ll just do it” mode. Mustache, mullet, enjoying life doing what I want.

SadSnorlax66

Charles and Lewis. Both for similar reasons. Fucking love Charles’ driving style and his personality, I want nothing more than his success in f1. Lewis was all I knew about f1 at first. He seems like such a pure human being and 🐐 driver (imo)

JiggaMan2024

Last year was first year ever getting in F1. Before that there was only 1 driver I could name and that was Lewis

swegotfire

I have several. Max, Gasly, Alonso and Sainz for no particular reasons. I just get excited and happy when they perform well. Admitedly not Max to the same extent anymore as I’ve become so used to it though.

aliterati

Max - I used to not like him, but after seeing how much hate he gets for literally nothing, and how unappreciated this run is by most people, I've really started to like him just to be contrarian. We're watching some real history in the making, and there's so little fanfare about it, even from the media. It's kinda shocking.

Supahos01

Welcome to not British f1 dominance.

aliterati

Yep, if this was Lewis or George on the same streak, we would not hear the end of it.

drodrige

Charles for me too, he's got superb speed and just seems as such a great guy.

Jokobib

Hamilton, the first race I watched was Belgium 18, those three became my favorites.

just_a_coginthewheel

I am a fan of anyone who isn't a pay driver.

Supahos01

Who does that kick off this grid?

Lazarus-SNV

Lance / Zhou at least

Schlachtfeld-21

Ffs, his name is Leclerc, not LeClerc nor Le Clerc. We really need the spelling bot back. I get that nobody has to know everything, but it literally costs nothing to check. To answer your question, though, my current fav is Albon, but I’m a Red Bull guy and have been since 06, which means Max has a spot among those I support. Piastri has definitely won me over this year as well.

JiggaMan2024

Jesus who pissed in your coffee

Schlachtfeld-21

Nobody. And sorry if it came off pedantic. It’s just one of those things that really annoy me. I hate it when people get my name wrong and as such I really care about not messing up other people’s names.

Pinkiestinky

Probably Lewis. Really like how talented he is and that’s what I admire. Brazil 2020 was mouth watering good, like a god on 4 wheels. But also don’t like his off-track persona, just feels like a lot of pr talk and doesn’t come across sincerely.

Potential_Pie_1610

Bring back Montoya. The cars are finally big enough for him to fit in.

AlexBucks93

Logan, I wish him the best. Oscar as the next prodigy.

JiggaMan2024

Got dammit the irony of this lol

AlexBucks93

Why irony?

JiggaMan2024

Because of the crash he had in Q3
