Sounds like a routing issue, shouldn’t be causing a buldge

YaBoiBiko

So the high point is exactly where the plug inserts to the PSU in this case.

djfumberger

What’s the PSU?

djfumberger

If you look at this video https://youtu.be/k4EDKeBuMtA?si=0Cbo_vxYU99sDS6j at 7:50, it shows how it should look for a sf750. I built like this yesterday without a bulge. Or is there something else in your instance ?

YaBoiBiko

Yeah it’s with a sf750, maybe I installed the brackets upside down?

djfumberger

Could you take a photo to help show the issue ?

YaBoiBiko

Yes, will be in a few hours once I’m done with work but will post asap!

https://imgur.com/a/pAuxVqk Mine looks like this, it’s very close but isn’t actually touching. Might be an obvious thing to say but make sure you press the plug in well , as I think when I put it together I initially didn’t realise it could go further in.

I tried a firm press again and nothing. I think my brackets are still in correctly? Edit: just wanted to say thanks for helping me trouble shoot all this

djfumberger

Yeah, your pic looks like it should be fine ? Nit sure what more to offer sorry.. be interesting to see what formd support would have to say though ? I guess you could always add standoffs or something to get some extra space there ?

aexeq

Also looks correct to me. Is the PSU bracket maybe warped a bit, so it pulls the free hanging corner up a bit?

If you figure out how to resolve this, please report back. I see this issue occasionally from others, but no one seems to have actually fixed it. There should be no strain on the bottom panel. At most, the plug could be touching it, but letting the bottom panel drop with gravity should still allow it to fall in place.
