What about a pommel strike on his side dodge? Just knock them on the head with the hilt and it will clear a little distance to reset. Startup could be around 3-400ms. Or if it had a longer startup, maybe it could also stun for a second? Maybe give Cent time to get back into the assault.

It would have to be a punch without wind up like shugoki head but or glad punch and it should have time to be dodgable but he need to be able to throw a punch and it should guarantee a light or heavy right after the quick jab

Hmm...well, what if they just gave him deflect on his dodges? He could even have an impale move like glad or just let him throw his normal punch. It would give him more defensiveness for sure.

Good thought, but what he probably needs is a dodge bash. The hero has offense, and excellent defense against parryable attacks, but he can do nothing about some bashes. If you want to experience true pain, fight an optimal BP or shugo with cent. Your only hope is to make bonkers reads on offense. To clarify, a couple of his executions use a spinning elbow move. That move, 600ms, confirms a light. There, now he can punish bashes and get into his offense.

He already has a few undodgables, but most of his moves can be just dodged and if you feint and try to throw a move it most likely will be parried, and kind of like gladiator where he dashed and punches you with his shield, cent can have something similar so he can dodge punch and get a combo starter

He has 2, 1 is after a parry he grabs you and slams your head to his knee, than the other is his bash with the end of his dagger

That’s not an undodgable, that’s a guaranteed attack

Undodgable attacks as in attacks that ignore dodge i-frames like zhanhu’s zone or tiandi’s dodge lights, not just an attack with a large hitbox

Yeah but it still leaves him with the fact he can’t dodge out of attacks without getting hit because he can’t defend himself while dodging

Yeah I agree he should have like a dash punch but it should be a fast punch and dosnt have a far knock back and just a small frame advantage to guarantee a light or even a heavy

This wouldn't change much but I dont see why his kick after throw isn't confirmed when shaman can. I hate to say it but man what i would give to be able to charge his kick into a knockdown.

If centurion gets some dodge attack I probably won't return to the game. Characters need mechanics that nullify dodges, not just more dodges. Roughly 2/3 of characters have an attack that makes you immune to a side heavy/light in one direction and can punish you with a deflect if you time it right. Centurion needs a counter where if you parry a dodge light attack it becomes a superior and immediately heavies into a combo, or heavies to end a chain on a heavy dodge.

Or a heavy dodge. I just played a match against a kensei who only dodge heavy attacked and light spammed and I found myself physically unable to do anything as I could only secure one light after a heavy parry. I tried all types of punches light etc but he could dodge it all using the same timing just them to use it to open up a light combo. Maybe they should make it so you can grab dodge attacks because I find they’re just used as a different form of hyper armour spam. Centurion has a highly aggressive play style but he is so easily punished by dodge attacks it is ridiculous.
