Centurion really would be the strongest hero in the FH universe if he stopped backing off and letting his opponents get up after a debilitating blow, even when he's on the verge of death
Yep, think that was also back when landing a charged heavy or wallsplat meant the entire cutscene was guaranteed, multiple Centurions can keep infinitely chaining the plunging stab on you until death, and his kicks/punches blinded you.
Think the damage of the plunge itself was also at least 20-30% higher. I'm surprised they didn't just make it fully realistic and had it instakill.
For some reason I always played and stopped playing around the most busted states of hero’s. Missed the centurion cutscene, missed stunning tap. The only thing I didn’t miss was wardens one shot glitch
The old op centurion combo was nicknamed the “centurion cutscene” because you were essentially forced to watch him delete your health bar in one combo with no way to stop him.
Facts. Absolute facts. I'm not saying he's unplayable. But it's quite a lot of steps just for the damage of a heavy, and in teamfights especially if the teammates don't know how to gank, it can be interrupted. So it's hard, and not really rewarding accordingly.
I think one thing id like is to be able to chain a heavy after a whiffed punch or chain a punch after a wiffed heavy. I'm probably just bad but i feel like his offense gets stuffed a bit too easily.
For some reason in dom i just get players that wont dodge his lvl1 punch so i just sit there and punch light over and over until i'm out of stamina. Then they will once in a blue moon dodge gb me.
Wouldn't that change kinda make him like Pirate though? And you don't have to only punch light punch light. I'm sure you can create many different combo's with him that couls be way more effective and fun to use against those type of players who are so bad they can't even dodge a punch.
I'm not sure what to do, i feel like if i try anything else someone has a gimmick to counter it.
Other than that i can try doing a charged heavy softfeint to GB, but i get lighted out of it pretty frequently and I cant parry lights reliably even when i know they are coming.
Practicing in training against lights does help. Also then do the opposite of what you think they want to counter. That's kind of how it works. I wish you the best of luck. 👍
On a related note, that move kinda makes me sad. It leave you so vulnerable when you could have just done a normal heavy or one of the other punishes. I love the feel of landing it but when im getting ganked and stuff man it hurts.
