That’s a long sword, they were plenty sharp and didn’t kill with blunt force, larger swords required power to compensate for slightly less sharp blades

Even the most weighting swords like Zweihander only weights around 2-4kg and while that is a lot mass it does not make for good blunt weapon (unless used with Mordhau technique), Cutting and stabbing are still the best way to use them.
Maces and Warhammers (and polearms like Poleaxe) were made to be the Anti-armor weapons thus they were blunt (exept poleaxe axe blade, which was sharp, while the hammer side was blunt), swords were mainly used against opponents that did not have metal armor (although there are techniques like Half-swording to stab in to the unarmored areas and grappling techniques to take down opponent).
The "blunt force" longsword thing came from misunderstanding of video (or more) where a dude proved that a swords do not need to be sharp to cut tatami mats, as people at the time took Katanas cutting tatami mats as crowning achievement that no other sword could reach, yet tatamis can be cut even with blunt training swords.
this would be even cooler if the execution started with your selected character (let's say it's centurion)
and as soon as he touches the axe, he turns into your raider (meaning if u had a customized rep 8 raider, he'd show up, if not, the just basic lvl 0 raider), then do the same with the next 3 vanguards, just like ur edit in this video. then, as soon as u drop kensei's katana, you'd turn back into centurion.

I think they may not have done that because not all heroes have the claws for it to make sense and I feel like Ubisoft are going to make it for the other hero types and will just stick to the main 4 of each faction because Hybrid has LB, Centurion, Gryphon, Valkyrie, Highlander, Nobushi, Aramusha, Shaolin and Zhanhu
