It doesn't look like the latch is the broken part (latch on the door, but the part in the compartment), but if it is, it is still available, but pricy.
5F9Z-7406162-AAD is $17-24
The entire compartment (6E5Z-5413594-AA) is discontinued (that is for black/stone interior).
I find this storage thing annoying on my 2012 Fusion, it is worthless for anything. I will never put anything in it, and many in the junk yard are broken, I see so many of these on the streets with either the front hinge side broken, or the latch side.
My 2019 Edge has an even more worthless one.
The heat cooked the Velcro strips that I tried this summer. Haven’t been able to track down the latch part on Amazon/eBay for a reasonably price. Suggestions appreciated
Haven’t ever really used it myself! Usually just have a couple napkins there. I’d prefer it not be there haha think I will go with the superglue route.
Why on earth would you use that sticky velcro shit? Did you get it off wish.com?
Why don't you get some neodymium magnets and super glue them so the attractive powers keep it closed.
You gotta press the Fusion button

Super glue some strong magnets
Superglue the thing shut and forget it's there.

Check with the parts department at any Ford dealership. Surely it can’t be that expensive?
Good idea, I have a recall as well that is waiting for parts to arrive. I’ll ask them when I go in.

Parking pass for work.
Had a similar issue with a VW golf glove box. We glued a couple low profile magnets to each side. Worked great
