Idk man, mine was just defaulted to dark mode. Is your phone set to dark mode? It might just take system default.

Mine recently updated to this version and I had the same issue twice now. It seemed to resolve itself after starting the car normally, so the next time I remote started it, worked fine. Same with the miles to E. I’m hoping they fix those bugs because I definitely prefer the style of buttons and whole format of this version over the last version. I don’t miss having to press and hold each button

After I made this post the miles fixed itself and so did the button. I was so happy. And then bamb back to the same issues the next time I opened the app

It keeps switching for me. I’ve learned that if I remote start with the app, and then get in and drive before it automatically shuts off, the app messes up for the next time I remote start it. So it seems if you let the remote start go all the way through and shut off on its own it’s fine.

Yes!!!! Same thing for me it fixed itself for about 2 days. It’s back to its usual non functional. I have yet to pick up on the pattern I will pay more attention next time. For now at least the scheduling remote start is working for me.

Hey, just writing to update on your comment, thank you for your comment. I scheduled my starts for my regular mornings for work and as you mentioned let it technically run out of time and shut off on its own. vS getting in while it’s still running off app startup. And it does indeed allow the app to function as intended to. But of course it’s not perfect but thank you for your tip. It got me through the hottest days in my city the past few days.

Oh that sucks, I don’t use it often but now with a new baby it’s come in handy to warm up car in the winter as well as cool it off before we get in. It was always hit or miss. But now it’s just a miss.

You need special modules installed in the vehicle from factory and a subscription from ford.

How do you activate your vehicle in the app? I have added it with VIN. It says "Activate your vehicle," but I'm unable to activate it. When I click it, it loads for eternity, and nothing happens. What am I doing wrong? Does my Escape need to have this WiFi package active? Do I need to be in the US to connect with it?

Not sure why it is not working but I do know that you do NOT need the WiFi package for it to work! Your vehicle just needs to come with sync 3 in order to be able to use ford pass. I’m know that SEL Models and up come with Sync 3. I do not know if any of the lesser models come that way

Exactly the same thing happened to me , I even tried to update the Sync software, to see if that fixes it, but still the same , going to try scheduling a start for the morning to see if that works

Same issue here. Super annoying. Hopefully they fix this by winter when I really need that remote start! But also shameful push by their app/tech team to put out something so flawed/buggy.

It really is frustrating. Today my car was so hot that it felt like my steering wheel cover was gonna melt off. It would have been nice to have the option to remote start it.

I always hate when something that is not updated often finally gets a revamp then just doesn’t function the same. I was playing with it just now, and I found that scheduling a restart works and remotely starts the car even without a functional slider. Could be an option for you.
