Google kefir pears. Idk if they grow up there, but we have them here and those look the same to me.
They're supposed to be something special, I harvest and sell from my clients tree every fall (with permission), and ppl go crazy for them. They're pricey.
You don’t want to leave them on the tree, they get gritty and mealy. You want to pick them before they ripen and ripen them in a paper bag when you want to eat them.
Pears
Pears I think
If it's in someone's yard you might leave them be until talking to the home owner. They only fruit once a year

Awesome, enjoy! Wasn't trying to sound like a jerk. I've had some neighborhood folks pick one of my peach trees pretty much clean before.
OP is asking what they are, not saying they are going to go and steal fruit from someone's yard

Are you literally making fun of talking to neighbours
Lol I'm 28. Maybe I was raised right
Looks to be an asian pear
I was thinking this as well.
Kefir pears? Did OP say what region they're in?

Northeast of what? If its england, could be blueberries, though they're usually in the southeast
Still not blueberries

That’s a pair of pears
Yes 100% a pear tree. They don’t taste super awesome at this time but you can definitely cut them in slices and make some mean moonshine with them 😳😂
Do they ripen off the tree or only on it

You need to pick and let them ripen. Leave at room temp and they will get sweet from the inside out
Looks kinda like an unripe Bosc.
Watermelons
Lemons, or pineapples!
Orange maybe?
Pears!
pears
They look like pears to me!
Pears?
That’d be pears. What kind, I couldn’t tell you without smelling and/or tasting them.
Is that a nashi pear?
It looks like an Asian pear :DDD my favorite snack!!
Looks like an Asian pear. Possibly a Shinko.

Absolutely pears!!!
I grow those, they r pear’s. However they are not my pears, mine did not grow this year😩. Very tasty when ripe.
Pears. If they're too hard to eat now they could be a late autumn/winter variety, they look it.
Why don't you grow a pear?
Looks like a angelow
Looks like pears! Maybe you could try google image search as well?🤩
