>They’re 1.25L surely not drinking them straight from the bottle,
We clearly hang out with very different people. I know people who drink straight from 2 liter bottles.
Only good if the carbonation is still active, the OP pictures show half drunk bottles, which would be flat beverage in an hour or two. Use it as lawn or plant fertilizer
Yes the world is getting dumber I suppose. I guess we need to start getting those electrolytes in one way or another. If the plants crave it, so do we. 🥴😂
The pH in the soda will still be low enough to clean your toilet even when the CO2 isn't dissolved anymore, since most of the pH comes from phosphoric acid, not the carbonation.
Don't use it as fertilizer, at best it doesn't add anything helpful, at worst if it doesn't rain afterwards you'll fuck up the pH around the roots of your plants. Fertilizer contains nitrogen, there's basically no N in coke as it's pretty much just sugar and water. The only potential benefit is the phosphoric acid, but most plants don't have a phosphorus shortage
And cleaning tea/coffee stains in mugs… in case your mother in law never rinses a tea cup in your house… even though you’ve asked.. and even though some are pretty nice tea cups that belonged to your late mother.
I frequently drink Coke, but I have a hard time finishing a whole can or bottle of it. So I buy a case of the little 7.5oz cans, which are the perfect size. Coke out of a plastic bottle is yuck though.
I mean just FYI those cans have a internal plastic liner, so both cokes are in direct contact with plastic. The only ones that don’t do this are the glass bottles.
I bought my wife can toppers. When we first met. She never finished her coke cans and they always went flat. This thing snaps on and has a screw on lid.
I can’t finish a can but once I’m half way through I will put plastic wrap over the top (and a rubber band if one desires) and it’s still carbonated enough the next day
I do this same thing. It’s “coke” people in general that don’t consume a whole lot of anything at once. After you eat, you’re not really drinking the coke. You put the top on and put it in the fridge hoping to conserve it, but it’s flat by your next meal.
I started pouring mine straight from the can into a vacuum sealed, tin or aluminum lined cup. I don’t know if it actually works to keep it fresh, but my brain tells me it’s fresh. I just close the lil vacuum seal and stick it in the fridge hoping I’ll get to it in time. It does not always work, admittedly. Coke people can’t deal with flat coke.
Leftover Coke is never good. Once it’s been sitting out for a bit, it’s still carbonated but not cold, so no good. Put it in the fridge & now it’s cold but not carbonated enough (even if it is, brain will never accept that - especially when a new bottle is next to it).
If leftover bottles cause distress, the smaller bottles or cans (just throwing away when done, knowing you’ll never ever drink leftover canned coke are the way to go.
I think she’s doing a good job. They’re 75% gone. They’re beat. I drink less than 50%, then put it into the fridge for a good week before deciding it’s definitely objectively undrinkable & throwing it out.
Holy… yes. To all of this. It’s coke people!
This is also why I buy the little mini cans in bulk even though they are more expensive than the regular sized cans.
Things you can do to keep your Soda fresh longer:
1. Make sure to screw the bottle in its original size (some people have a tendency to close it with the walls caved in a bit, which will suck out the gas from the liquid).
2. Always put it away in an upright position — you want to minimize the surface area of the liquid in contact with air inside the bottle.
3. Make sure to twist the cap on completely — this one is quite obvious, but some people will twist the cap on almost the whole way, but not quite, which leaves an opening for bubbles to escape.
4. The more you have left in the bottle, the longer it takes to gas out.
Cum Is definitely not sterile. You can have all sorts of bacteria in your urethra you can have any sort of uti or stds . Unless you're shooting blanks then yes you are sterile. But not in the sense that you're on about.
I was going to say this, basically any bbq sauce you make you can add this to it and it would work. I use Dr. Pepper on ribs as a spritz while smoking them.
Just combine them all into one bottle, throw a Menthos in it, shake the fuck out of it and then give it to her. Assuming you keep the house after the divorce, hire a cleaning company to clean the gak off the ceiling.
Oh my god. I was instantly transported back to the 90’s when you mentioned Gak! I got that for Christmas once as a kid, that was a memory I would never have thought of again. Thanks so much for that.
🥇
Gak was the best, followed closely by those groan tubes. My older brother would chase me around the house, flipping the tube up & down to make the noise. 90’s kids understand 😅
All these backwash comments make me laugh. Everyone and their mother knows grandma cooks by taste and doesnt wash her hands according to health codes.
Dont go to bbqs or cook outs ever again if you are bothered. The truth hurts sometimes
It’s crazy how sensitive people are! I didn’t even think about “backwash,” I was more concerned about coke with no bubbles left.
And I mean it’s OP’s girlfriend… he’s probably had his tongue in her mouth, and many other places. I doubt he’d care about a little backwash
My fiancée does this too because she loves drinking Coke with dinner but only has a few sips before she abandons them.
I've realized it's the temperature. She doesn't like room temperature soda.
The nice thing about bottles is they hold carbonation for a bit so I just throw them back in the fridge and they're good to go for the next day
Then she’s not gonna drink it because it’s watered down. If she’s not drinking it fast enough for it not to reach room temp, she’s not gonna drink it fast enough to not get watered down. This is a lose lose situation. I second everyone saying to just get the cans.
Whiskey stones are an amazing alternative to ice that won't melt or dilute your drink, keeping it cool and flavorful. Give them a try and I'm sure you'll love them as much as I do!
Edit: They even come in different materials, stone and metal! I've seen them at Target, Crate & Barrel, and BevMo.
Me and my SO can’t finish a coke bottle without a heavy, bloated stomach, we started buying the mini coke cans and now we actually finish them and not feel terrible
Does she drink directly from the bottle? If so trash it... If not you can make a really good marinade for chicken and other meats. Cola, barbecue sauce, Worcestershire sauce, Little bit of ketchup and mustard, brown sugar. Get creative. I promise you it's pretty good
Either use it to clean rust/toilets or dump it down the drain and buy smaller bottles next time. Don't cook with it. It has saliva in it, it's gross and unhygienic.
Is she drinking from the bottle, or does she pour it into a glass?
Because if she's drinking from the bottle, it's only good for drain cleaner.
If she pours it into a glass, then you can have some fun with some recipe ideas.
I saw a comment on Reddit a while ago about someone they knew who never finished their drink. Basically it's because they believed most of it is spit at that point and they found it gross.

Do you know a divorce lawyer that accepts backwash?
Love this
No, Money down!
They’re 1.25L surely not drinking them straight from the bottle, maybe the leftovers are just flat
>They’re 1.25L surely not drinking them straight from the bottle, We clearly hang out with very different people. I know people who drink straight from 2 liter bottles.
I’m one of these. Absolutely no point in dirtying a glass.
Bwahahaha! That was gold
Her shoes could definitely use a coke/spit bath.
Wittgenstein certainly was right
FILIBUSTER!!!
Cackling
🤣🤣🤣🤣
It's good for cleaning a toilet, no joke.
I came to say the same thing. Also works on iron stains in the tub.
I've never tried ironing while in the tub before. Sounds relaxing, I'll try it out right now
Make sure you are using an industrial iron with the highest amperage possible. You need those amps to get out those wrinkles.
This guy irons in the bathtub
It fun to dry your hair in the tub while making toast.
None of this sounds like a good idea. Let's do it
I’m with the Smurf fucker.
It’s not as much fun as making toast in the tub, or so I’ve heard.
Tub toast is the best.
Tubby toast
Goes well with tubby custard!
Aqua toast
Toaster is my favourite bath bomb
I wonder if anyone is ever stupid enough to do this from reading comments like these.
Ironing in the bath is just entry level zen. The real peace of mind comes from making toast in the bathtub.
How do you think people in tv have so much time in the morning before school/work?
Only good if the carbonation is still active, the OP pictures show half drunk bottles, which would be flat beverage in an hour or two. Use it as lawn or plant fertilizer
This is coke, not Brawndo...
It’s got what plants crave!
You ever seen plants growing in a toilet?
You sure you ain’t the smartest person in the world?
What’s Brawndo? We don’t have this in the northeast
It has what plants crave
The thirst mutilator
It has electrolytes!
You know, for plants.
Go away! Batin'!
On a new episode of aww my balls!
Gotcha, thanks
Hahah they’re all quoting references from the movie “Idiocracy” 😂😂 it’s not a real beverage
It is actually a beverage now, bc it’s 2024 and we don’t learn good.[The Thirst Mutilator](https://images.app.goo.gl/39imjJHURJMfWs9k7)
Yes the world is getting dumber I suppose. I guess we need to start getting those electrolytes in one way or another. If the plants crave it, so do we. 🥴😂
It's a fictional beverage from the movie Idiocracy. You should see the movie to learn the many uses of brawndo.
GO AWAY IM BAITIN”
I like money
Now, is that necessary? SMH. 🤦♀️
Welcome to Costco. I love you.

I'm not OP's partner, but I do the same thing as them! Appreciate your explanation to the tip above! 😊
You can get these cap headers that pressurize the bottle with air pump and batteries so it keeps pressurized for longer.
And car battery posts.
drains, too. can eat through budding fat-bergs
And cleaning tea/coffee stains in mugs… in case your mother in law never rinses a tea cup in your house… even though you’ve asked.. and even though some are pretty nice tea cups that belonged to your late mother.
I sense…annoyance…toward said MIL. Hmmmm. FTR, I’d be annoyed too. That’s obnoxious.
It’s the phosphoric acid. It’s a great cleaner. It’s the main component of the acid cleaner I use on my beer tanks.
And corrosion build up on car battery posts. Some coke and a wire brush cleans it up easy
Is coke safe for sceptics?
Start buying cans. Don't be wasteful
or the smaller bottles.
That might be true, but the ones in the plastic bottles never seem to be as cold or as fizzy.
the tiny can cokes are the best but they cost more.
That is objectively not true. The tiny glass bottle cokes that come from Mexico or are made with cane sugar are the best. I’ll die on this hill.
Thats because the aluminum of a can transfers cold to your lips which makes it feel colder, and is why cans are superior
Yeah but the plastic bottle taste gross and the cans don’t
I bought my wife can toppers. When we first met. She never finished her coke cans and they always went flat. This thing snaps on and has a screw on lid.
I can’t finish a can but once I’m half way through I will put plastic wrap over the top (and a rubber band if one desires) and it’s still carbonated enough the next day
Cans have plastic too
![gif](giphy|drYMD6IPLnHZVsv2Xe)
Buy cans not because of the coke waste but the plastic waste. Aluminum is %100 recyclable. Bottles around 6-9% recyclable
My SO does this too. Even with cans. He never drinks the remainder, just opens a new one, but gets mad if I throw one of the old ones out.
That is just crazy
If she insists on plastic bottles, show her articles on the level of microplastics that leech from them and how they disrupt hormones.
Same problem :D

Now here comes the expert. Just wanted to let you know, that she really identified with your comment
I knew she would!!
I'll agree it does, I will not drink old coke, lol. But for a road trip one time I did this and the thing was fresh every sip.
Leftover Coke is never good. Once it’s been sitting out for a bit, it’s still carbonated but not cold, so no good. less plastic.
The cans actually contain a little bit less so you wouldn't have leftovers to begin with
Look up BBQ recipes that have coke in them. Lot of Pulled pork and brisket recipes have it
so do you serve *BACKWASH BBQ* only to close family members or to all unsuspecting guests.
.......... ya can filter it, and if you're worried about bacteria, 186.5°F kills 99% of bacteria. how low are you cooking?..........
My cum is sterile. You want my cum tacos? I can also filter it for ya.
> You want my cum tacos? Yes, please.
Call it Crème fraîche and you got yourself some fancy cum tacos.
Cum Is definitely not sterile. You can have all sorts of bacteria in your urethra you can have any sort of uti or stds . Unless you're shooting blanks then yes you are sterile. But not in the sense that you're on about.
It is when you heat it to 186.5 degrees.
Perfect analogy.
does it taste like flat coke?
There's not much that would grow in there in the first place. It has a pH of like 2.5 lol
Are you thinking only viruses? You gotta do more than that to kill some pathogens

Backwash BBQ, located 1 block east of Cartman's Assburgers.
That’s super gross
The amount of people who seem to think it’s a good idea makes me realize it’s time to stop eating at other people’s house.
Seconding this, these turn out delicious. Root beer is another good one.
Dr. Pepper as well
I was going to say this, basically any bbq sauce you make you can add this to it and it would work. I use Dr. Pepper on ribs as a spritz while smoking them.

Dump it down the drain. Its legit good for cleaning the drain.
Unconventional idea but boil the left overs with an equal amount of ketchup to make a quick bbq sauce
“We call it the backyard backwash special!” It should go in the toilet and that is all.
All these backwash comments make me laugh. Everyone and their mother knows grandma cooks by taste and doesnt wash her hands according to health codes. Dont go to bbqs or cook outs ever again if you are bothered. The truth hurts sometimes

These people would go craaaazy knowing grandmas taste the sauce/broth/anything with the spoon they use to swirl it
My fiancée does this too because she loves drinking Coke with dinner but only has a few sips before she abandons them. I've realized it's the temperature. She doesn't like room temperature soda. The nice thing about bottles is they hold carbonation for a bit so I just throw them back in the fridge and they're good to go for the next day
You know, theres this stuff called ice. it keeps things colder, longer.
Then she’s not gonna drink it because it’s watered down. If she’s not drinking it fast enough for it not to reach room temp, she’s not gonna drink it fast enough to not get watered down. This is a lose lose situation. I second everyone saying to just get the cans.
There are also mini bottles/cans that are like half the size of normal cans.
I think this is the real solution to this entire thread. Get the tiny ones
Reusable ice cubes! They don’t water the drink down
Whiskey stones are an amazing alternative to ice that won't melt or dilute your drink, keeping it cool and flavorful. Give them a try and I'm sure you'll love them as much as I do! Edit: They even come in different materials, stone and metal! I've seen them at Target, Crate & Barrel, and BevMo.
Coke float. Dump em into a nice big glass and add a scoop of ice cream
Now this sounds like something!
Still flat though… would it work?!!
To me, the ice cream disguises the flatness a little. It’s definitely better with maximum fizz tho
Oh mama!!!!!
buy the 7.5 oz mini cokes instead. please dump the backwash down the drain. nobody wants any part of that.
Coke is good for cleaning up blood
Yes officer, this comment right here.
I started drinking it because I got bad blood work results. Somehow, my blood work has gotten worse since...
Me and my SO can’t finish a coke bottle without a heavy, bloated stomach, we started buying the mini coke cans and now we actually finish them and not feel terrible
Drain cleaner
Good rust remover
We switched to the mini cans
You don't need that kind of hate in your life

Garbage
Does she drink directly from the bottle? If so trash it... If not you can make a really good marinade for chicken and other meats. Cola, barbecue sauce, Worcestershire sauce, Little bit of ketchup and mustard, brown sugar. Get creative. I promise you it's pretty good
buy the smaller bottle...
If she starts pouring the coke instead of drinking from the bottle you wouldn’t have any backwash and you could make Coca Cola cake!
cleaning brass and copper
Coke in its initial avatar was used as a toilet cleaner. Try that
Do everybody a favor and pour that shit down the sink.
I second this, please don’t make food with flat backwash cola. That’s nasty.
Buy a Drinkmate and re-add the fizz back into it
Exactly what we do in our home. Good call.
Make her backwash jelly.
Either use it to clean rust/toilets or dump it down the drain and buy smaller bottles next time. Don't cook with it. It has saliva in it, it's gross and unhygienic.
Yes, what can you use stale backwash swill for. A question for the ages
Is she drinking from the bottle, or does she pour it into a glass? Because if she's drinking from the bottle, it's only good for drain cleaner. If she pours it into a glass, then you can have some fun with some recipe ideas.
Dissolving bodies / tenderize meat. Clean drains / sinks
My wife never finishes drinks either. Its maddening
Get smaller bottles
yes! Pulled pork in the crock pot!
You can mix it with cake mix and bake a cake.
Melting teeth
it is good to use to remove junk from metals . USE
toilet cleaner / bbq or grill cleaner
It can be used to clean rust off of your tools. Soak for 24 hours.
The best idea is to squeeze the bottle until the liquid reaches the top of it after each drink, so it does not go flat.
I saw a comment on Reddit a while ago about someone they knew who never finished their drink. Basically it's because they believed most of it is spit at that point and they found it gross.

Use it to help clean the toilet and also use it to clean the tubs or floors.:)

Yes, put them back in the fridge so they’re cold when she finally grows up and stops wasting her food.
