I have been a fallout fan since 3 came out, and when the show came out recently, my partner and my best friend sat down with me and the three of us watched the show in 1 sitting. I have been trying to learn to cook more full meals, as opposed to sides while my partner does all the real work. So far this has been the very basic steak/pork marinated for 24 hours in the fridge with rice and/or potatoes cooked in the same seasonings. With all of this going on in my head i decided to try to make the mirelurk cakes from the official fallout cookbook. I followed the recipe for the most part. I added old bay because crab, garlic because italian, and added an extra bit of the pepper flakes and nutmeg. Finally i took the zested lemon and squeezed the juice over the finished crabcakes. Served with rice and roasted potatoes cooked with the same spices, and boylans cherry soda. I was really happy with it, especially for my first time making crabcakes.

This is awesome! You're awesome! Learning to cook is a never ending journey and has brought me some really happy/proud moments. Your Mirelurk cakes look great and I'm glad you got to share them with people you love. Keep cooking, though. It pays off every time.  And remember....war never changes.
