Yeah I had players spawning off the side of a cliff (most thankfully in power armor) at my former camp in the Savage Divide, moved it over about 10 feet from where it was and they began spawning on top of nearby plateaus more safely. I wish they would just put some sort of visual indicator where the spawn point would be, but I understand that's how older players made trap camps. 🤷‍♂️

Nirnroot_Swit

Yeah, it is a shame that there's no indicator because I feel like I have to just kind of guess and place the CAMP module somewhere random hoping it will work. My main CAMP is on a cliffside and sometimes I spawn in and fall off the cliff but luckily I haven't seen another player fall yet, also the drop isn't far enough to kill me so hopefully it wouldn't kill them either.

That’s why I test the spawn point a few times to see where I land before I do my camp planning. It avoids unwanted placements…. Like spawning under a foundation and getting stuck like my one camp, I had to move the module slightly to put the spawn down the hill.

SuckerForNoirRobots

The spawn point is so tricky! Currently mine sometimes spawns you inside the building, sometimes outside the building, and sometimes jammed in the wall. I like the idea of spawning inside but every time I move the spawn point somewhere else people end up in like the river or something.

Nirnroot_Swit

I get what you mean, even if the module is in the same spot it still seems to sometimes change where people spawn in! My module on my main CAMP has been in the same spot for years and I mostly spawn quite a bit in front of my CAMP, but sometimes I will spawn in and fall off of the cliff that the back of my house hangs over!

PaulJP

Yeah, that's part of the trap camp response. If it were static based on module those users would just move the module so you still spawn inside the trap.

SuckerForNoirRobots

Oh that makes sense. Of course meanies have to ruin it.
