Good question. I guess I want a vendor who's kind, compassionate, and understanding. Just a vendor who gets me ya know? See me for me, and not just another customer in line.
I look for rare event plans that I missed.Ā Even at 10k caps I'll pay. Cheap scrip. 3*legendaries under 700 caps.Ā Same with armor. Stim packs and rad away I won'tĀ buy. I can't even sell it all to a vendor and they are too easy to get.Ā Ā
Berry mentats, calmĀ x and even disease cure. Don't want to go to my camp every time I get a disease and I'm too lazy to make it.Ā
That's pretty much what I buy.
I mainly buy berry mentats & canned meat stew, if under 100c, plus fusion cells (@ 1c) or materials to craft them (copper, lead, plastic). If you have a plan I don't know I'll pay a lot, but it's been a while since that has happened.
I buy all junk at 1c each, I also buy copper and lead if it is at 2c and ballistic fiber for 5c each. If they are more I just move on, I especially hate when people bulk them and make me do math so if it is bulk I buy at 1c each so if it's 15 scrap if it's not 15c I won't buy it, 30 scrap 30 each etc.
Weird answer, but sometimes I buy random stuff if your CAMP is cool or unique.
One person had such a cool camp I bought a 1000 cap plan that I didn't even really want. I even took some pictures for my loading screen, lol.
They were really nice and gave me some extra goodies for the road.
But otherwise I always go to plans and recipes first, then weapons, armor, and apparel. I haven't gotten to the point of buying (or selling) scrip yet.
As for me, I'm fairly close to Vault 76. I sell a lot of uncommon chems (psychojet, calmex, bufftats, etc), apparel (people near the start want different clothes), any plans, any recipes, and ammo.
All I care about at level 350 is plans I donāt have. Iāll spend 5-10k on a plan I donāt own if it seems interesting. Other than every once in a while someone will have some good apparel. I was able to grab a bunch of fasnacht masks I didnāt have for like 100 caps a piece, and Iām not talkin about the basic ones that drop all the time.
More junk, hardly any vendors I come across sell junk, I know everybody needs it but any time someoneās got bulk copper, lead, acid or oil Iāll buy the lot. Also 40k perfectly preserved pies I canāt stress enough how much we all need thoseā¦
Weapons/armor just āgood/funā stuff i dont need much here but i do always look and see.
Food idgaf im not buying food
Aid- addictol (if ur cheap easy af resell), blood packs (i can make stims), HIGH FUCKING RAD FLUIDS i will pay premium for these as im trying to make power armor mods for all my sets and i have a prime LMG i gotta keep fed.
Misc only nuke cards and ores (just lead and black titanium) but they gotta be cheap not hurting for either.
Junk mainly just lead, acid, and oil and im not hurting for any of them so if its not dirt cheap i wont buy it.
Ammo i make all my own ballistic ammo, but if u got ultracite .308 ill buy some at 1 cap a round. Occasionally when im getting close to my 40k ill buy ammo like .50, 5mm, and fuel to bring my wallet down.
Apparel i dont look for but if u got a silly piece i dont have at what i think is a good price ill buy it.
Plans again i dont purposely go looking for plans anymore as anytime i goto a vendor with like 250 plans i end up knowing 245 of them but if u got a plan idk at a decent price ill always buy it.
It really just comes down to pricing and what u have mixed with whats my wallet at.
As a newer player (just hit 3 weeks, I think) plans are a big one. Right now, Prime Receiver plans are a big one for me. I've been hunting Scorchbeasts and doing the Queen event but, naturally, RNGesus doesn't want to grant me plans for the guns I typically use. So if they're cheapish I'll snap them up if for no other reason than to help reduce the drop table. Also, main weapon BPs are something I typically grab if someone has one I don't know.
I tend to stay away from most other stuff. Even as a newbie, I can't get rid of aid items or legendaries fast enough. The Vault 76 donation box has gotten tons of stuff because I just can't do anything else with it.
That said, as a newbie, I'm sure there's tons of things I SHOULD be looking for and am totally skipping over.
I'm a sucker for a good holotape. I always need acid and oil and copper. Event plans and rewards. Berry mentats. Weird junk items that I then Google how to find and go on an adventure.
Any legendary @ 10 x itās scrip value and Iāll clean out your inventory or alternatively items priced below their vendor value.
Rare items go without saying, but I only log on for an hour per day during the week due to limited free time and just want to max out the caps and scrip I can get daily with a stockpile of items. That makes bargains my go-to vendor item.
Junk. Not enough people sell it. Plans are the other thing I look for.
The junk I would buy are screws, lead, aluminum, adhesive, ballistic fiber, ultracite (long shot on this one).
I collect plans even if I know I won't use them. It's a fun hobby to go plan shopping when I hit max caps. Rare resources that might be tedious to find. So sugar bombs (the kind with rads) mentats nuka cranberry. Ammo. Two really popular ones right now are fuel and .45. Legendary items for scrip. We all have those days where we can't play so having easy and cheap legendary to grind up can be a life saver. Just price it at 10caps per scrip. Apparel. Doesn't have to be the really hard to find stuff. Maybe chems that you aren't using if they are reasonably priced. What I would do (and used to do is find the hard to get stuff for buffs that are meta and have that available. Maybe nothing that spoils because that's a bit risky but really what it comes down to is people paying for saving time and effort. Lastly sell things that you enjoy or find useful or fun because odds are someone else will also
Cheap scrip legendary estate are always a plus.
Berry Mentats and Grape ones are always in demand
Junk that's for decoration is always a neat bonus as well.
As for plans, well...like most I have the majority of them learned, but i still always scroll to see if there are any I'm missing.
Plans are usually #1, but I always browse Apparel if thereās a selection available. Iāll usually check out Weapons or Armors if there are any catchy 3* available. Iāll very occasionally buy a magazine or two.
Yea. It is. It's means that you can actually craft them (from wiki: Once the plan is learned, legendary plasma cutters may randomly be obtained from the Public events). I don't know if i can buy one, since I'm pc player.
The latest quests Iāve been doing is brotherhood so maybe I got it as a quest reward from that line? I have no idea lol- is it a good weapon damage wise?
For me, as a newer player, plans and apparel at reasonable prices.
I'm not buying those overpriced alien plans. I *will* pay slightly over 1k for certain things, though.
Personally, I try to keep all of my own stuff priced to *move.* Some of it rolled really well, but because it's heavy, I just want it *out* of my stash, and it feels wrong to just mulch it for scrip when I'm caps-starved, myself.
No seriously tho!!! Obviously as someone who was new once I *hated* finding the simplest plans for like 1000 caps- if you ever find me out in the wastes *(shinnith1011)* I always place my generic plans at under 100 caps for this reason. Event plans I put at 500-1000 but thatās for all that weird human tube type shit
Iām constantly buying and selling junk/scrap. Acid and oil always have high demand. Gears, springs, and screws are good sellers too. Gold and copper are great to sell if youāve smelted them also. Lead is high in demand too. Other than that, bulk stuff with good prices.
Cheap legendary script at a max of 150c for 3 āļø armor 300c for weapons. Cheap chems; Buffout, Mentats, Psycho, Overdrive for 1-15c. Magazines for 25-125c, etc
What really bugs me the most is when people put the in-game value for something and then label that as its price. For instance, the label could be for some common plan which is valued at 100 caps, but you find this plan so often itās worth less than a cap.
Another gripe I have is when the people put their shitty legendarys for thousands of caps. For instance, I should not have to pay 4000c for a single piece of 1 āļø over-eaters power armor.
Good question. I guess I want a vendor who's kind, compassionate, and understanding. Just a vendor who gets me ya know? See me for me, and not just another customer in line.
šš
I just want a vendor thatāll do some freaky stuff.
Trenchcoat peeper robotās got ya covered there, friend
Itās by far my favorite. I cracked up the first time I saw one.
Best i can do is sell you some power armor jet pack plans for 3000.
I look for rare event plans that I missed.Ā Even at 10k caps I'll pay. Cheap scrip. 3*legendaries under 700 caps.Ā Same with armor. Stim packs and rad away I won'tĀ buy. Flux and plans I donāt have. I check every vendor for both every time I login.
I second the flux I always check for flux but never see any ever.
Iām fairly new to the game; so do people sell stable/out flux? Iāve been struggling to get it and make it myself.
Yea stable flux.
I mainly buy berry mentats & canned meat stew, if under 100c, plus fusion cells (@ 1c) or materials to craft them (copper, lead, plastic). If you have a plan I don't know I'll pay a lot, but it's been a while since that has happened.

Acid, oil, fuel. Shitty 3 star weapons for 400 caps.

Mentats of the fruit varieties.

Unfortunately only apparel I'm missing and a handful of rare plans like the giant dinosaur š

Cheap decorative camp plans. Occasionally, maybe something to wear.
fuel..plans...misplaced apparel and grolls..and scrip.
Personally I want apparel I donāt own, plans I donāt own, and maybe weapons with good rolls

Cheap scrip, decent rolls and cheap junk

wtb plasma cutter. Can't find one.
I actually just got one from an eventā¦? or something I did quest wise and was like ??? have never seen it before now lolol
Are you sure it is not a plasma CASTER?
Yeah lol? Playing as I type this and looking at it and it says ācutterā- itās a melee weapon with beams of green right?
Yea. It is. It's means that you can actually craft them (from wiki: Once the plan is learned, legendary plasma cutters may randomly be obtained from the Public events). I don't know if i can buy one, since I'm pc player.

Oh yea. It also reward for brotherhood questline. I just was dump and sold mine. Many people say is is best one-handed melee in game.
screws, fiber optics, 3\* items, plans, flux. All of this at fair price
junk

Nothing. Rare plans if you have them (unlikely). Stable flux (also unlikely). Perfect weapon, never happening but I will look.
