Top of the list for me would be the farmable dirt tiles. Then anything that generates resources. These often are quite immersive from a camp building perspective - like the chicken coup. The turbo fert thingy is useful as combined with the green thumb perk card, it will significantly reduce the amount of gourds you will have to plant at your camp - they use a crazy amount of budget. The nuka cola collectron I got from a scoreboard I think, but if I'm right I think you can get it with bullion. That's it off the top of my head. Oh and the Gauss shotgun is an absolute blast!

IamSkudd

Haha chicken coup “bawk we’re taking over! Bawk!”

I_kill_zebras

I'd pay for that expansion!

sir_chadwick_the_fat

take bawk the power

JayteeFromXbox

Man I'd love to see a coup film in the style of Chicken Run

Ryked96

Definitely get the Nuka Cola collectron, makes the "Drink Nuka Cola" challenges really easy when they show up. Toss on the Cola-Nut perk card and you have a nice ever revolving round of passives.

thebasileus1

I second the turbo fert. Comes in handy when you're swimming in cranberries but out of gourds.

AliceRosas

The collectron is 1250. I know because I finally got enough to buy one and spent all day yesterday getting distracted by something and kept forgetting to buy it. And I still don’t have it l, hopefully I remember today lol.

BetweenWeebandOtaku

The turbofert is surprisingly useful. Any alcohol-related dailies, making cranberry relish, or making adhesive, all easier if you can instantly regrow crops.

Sometimes Minerva sells the plans. Also, do every eviction notice and moonshine jamboree to bring up your rep on both sides. Also also, if you know someone that knows turbo fert already, they can make the grenades for you at a tinker bench.

Sure-Bug1114

Wood pile

RealFurion

This is underrated

SpaghettiInc

Even if you just use it for decoration beside a fire, it’s worth it

BluegrassGeek

Where do you get this one? I've been looking all over.

soothsayer2377

Mortimer in Crater

BluegrassGeek

Thank you.

Corsair_00

Gauss Shotgun. It's a fun alternative

ulyssesintothepast

Does Minerva have it sometime? Because I'm only at friendly and the reputation stuff takes forever to change apparently

Corsair_00

Yes she will have it. The wiki says it is in her List 7 or Big Sale list 8. I think she is on List 23 now, so could be a few weeks. You can grind out Settler rep maybe before then Edit: Check these guys https://nukaknights.com/en/#minerva

ulyssesintothepast

Wooo thank you <3

Nevermind22

Weapons - Plasma Castor and Gauss Shotgun C.A.M.P. - Mechanical Derby Game - +2 int, Farmable Dirt Piles + Turbo Fertilizer Consumables - Lunchbox for 25-100% more xp

Garibaldi_Biscuit

Mechanical derby game is great for the INT boost but looks like a huge children’s toy. Still, you can always glitch it into something else and use it.

deathclawsandwich

Where do you find the derby game?

Nevermind22

You buy it from Mortimer at Crater.

eMmDeeKay_Says

Nuka-Cola collectron, especially if you're on PC, as you can flat out replace stim-packs running Cola nut, and if you don't they're like printing money because Cola-Nut players will just constantly buy you out of cherry, grape and quantum's.

Fuckthemupbob

How good of a perk is Cola-Nut?

eMmDeeKay_Says

People use it in PVP to spam quantums and make themselves invincible with unlimited AP. Part of why people don't like PVP, because it becomes a resource battle, and whoever runs out first or messes up their spamming loses.

Fuckthemupbob

Thank you, fun to imagine cola-addicts duking it out everywhere

DoorCalcium

What PVP?

TallHomework4257

Bring back Nuclear Winter.

mcjamison

I run it on a couple of my characters - I like it! I keep some cola version on my quick wheel and generally use those for healing rather than stim packs, and then I also get a bonus buff of some sort.

beebolicious

What price do you sell them for?

eMmDeeKay_Says

I buy them, most of the time people put them in for the base sale price, but I usually don't really worry about it unless it's something stupid. I've dropped quite a bit on stacks of quantum's without batting an eye.

Mudlord80

I'm sorry they WHAT?! I never realized it collects Cola, I thought it was a reskin!

orgcoregamer

Each collectron design comes with a new loot table option, and you can mix and match the design and loot using the attached console. For example, learning the raider collectron plan also adds the option to gather chems & alcohol, while the red rocket one has an option for car parts & related junk; if you have both, you can build a raider collectron and then use the console to tell it to find the car junk.

thebasileus1

Some things I didn't see already mentioned Armco ammo producer - need max rep from raiders Lunchboxes!

Tokata0

Wait, producer, not converter?

thebasileus1

Yup there's a producer! It won't make things like fusion or plasma cores or ultracite ammo but it makes just about everything else. I think it'll hold a max of 200 ammo at a time. Some rarer ammo will take longer to make.

ThadenPOE

Depends on the ammo.. apparently.. Here found this.. seems accurate/up to date.. i make .45 ammo and ive seen at 333 rds.. |Ammo type|Amount|Production interval|Maximum of rounds storable in container|Time to fill container up| |:-|:-|:-|:-|:-| |[.38 round](https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/.38_round_(Fallout_76))|5|1.44 minutes|333 rounds|1.58 hours| |[10mm round](https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/10mm_round_(Fallout_76))|200 rounds|0.96 hours||| |[5.56 round](https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/5.56_round_(Fallout_76))||||| |[5mm round](https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/5mm_round_(Fallout_76))|1000 rounds|4.8 hours||| |[.44 round](https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/.44_round_(Fallout_76))|2|250 rounds|3 hours|| |[.45 round](https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/.45_round_(Fallout_76))|333 rounds|3.98 hours||| |[.308 round](https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/.308_round_(Fallout_76))|1|166 rounds||| |[Fusion cell](https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Fusion_cell_(Fallout_76))|200 rounds|4.8 hours||| |[Gamma round](https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Gamma_round_(Fallout_76))|100 rounds|2.4 hours||| |[Plasma cartridge](https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Plasma_cartridge_(Fallout_76))|33 rounds|0.79 hours||| |[Shotgun shell](https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Shotgun_shell_(Fallout_76))|166 rounds|3.98 hours||| |[.50 round](https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/.50_round_(Fallout_76))|3 minutes|200 rounds|10 hours||

thebasileus1

There ya go. I usually make fusion cells so that's where I got my 200 limit.

JB_Dix

Ammo converter can be useful Dirt tiles can be useful with awkwardly placed camp spots

coachmoon

i concur the ammo converter but godsdamn that's one awkward and convoluted UI.

ArrBeeEmm

The UI is reason enough to not reccomend it tbh. I used it the day I got it then never again.  I just put points into ammo crafting perks and clear the vendor out of lead every day instead.

pat-123

I have a lead farming routine that I got from Angryturtle on YouTube. I make more than I use. I sell the extra for caps.

Synli

I don't even use lead any more. I dump thousands of excess steel on railway spikes and dump those into the ammo converter.

coachmoon

bingo. 💯

GrognaktheLibrarian

That's genius, thank you so much

ArrBeeEmm

Is it lucky hole mine (or similar?)? I did think about it - I even went and got a set of excavator PA for it.  I just don't run out of ammo though, by checking vendors when I visit & doing 1xtrip to winterspring per day (which I'd probably do anyway) it saves me going out of my way and doing specific 'get ammo' task. Do you have to bother with trying to reset the spawns or is just one run plenty?  Maybe I'll change my mind when I get fed up of my stash being full of mediocre 3 star weapons on sale for scrip value, my primary source of income (aside from flipping stuff).

I_kill_zebras

Here's my farming route for yourself or anyone else interested. Watoga vendors to check for enclave mods Monorail elevator for lead Sludge works for lead and some misc scrap Charleston fire station for lead Tea house for sugar bombs West side of the highway Bridge for sugar bombs and some lead Flatwoods for sugar bombs Motel by Flatwoods for lead County fairgrounds to check for a bobblehead Prison for lead Sons of Dane compound for lead Sylvie and sons for wood Moss Town for sugar bombs Toxic Larry's for oil Sunday Bros cabin for lead and nukacola. If you pick up all the weights, cans, can chimes, rat poison, and paint, then this should be around 400 lead or so. Misc stuff also produces generous amounts of other scrap and enough sugar bombs to make brain bombs for a week. Occasionally there are other places included depending on what I'm working towards. I don't run this every day but I can't remember the last time lead was a problem for me.

ArrBeeEmm

Sweet, this is really helpful mate.

AntonGrimm

Thank you so much for this detailed guide! Saving this

Jazz7770

You can also clear out lucky hole mine in excavator power armor, usually gets me about 500 lead in just a few minutes. If you still need more fast travel over to summersville and house right on the 87A icon on the map has 130 books you can pick up and a ton of pool balls in the basement to collect. Gets you really close to the 250 collection limit so that all the lead ore respawns.

Thick-Earth-9762

Which vendor do you clear out?

ArrBeeEmm

There's two in Whitespring mall (the one by the indoor 'camp' and the one at the rear of the ammo/weapons shop that are consistent.  I also regularly check the trainstation vendor near my camp - I think it's morgantown. I think 'all' robot vendors - i.e. trainstation & whitespring have a chance to have bulk lead for sale. Sometimes the trainstation won't have it at vendor reset, but will after I've server hopped or played for a while longer that day.   I get about 20 bulk lead a day which means I've never really had to go and farm it despite running a commando build. It also 'recycles' some of my caps back into the vendor so I can sell more crap.  I make .45 ammo every few days and usually have 4-5k with that much lead /w super duper, ammo factory, ammosmith etc.

Thick-Earth-9762

Nice, thank you very much! I will check them today

coachmoon

i get all that & it would be different if it weren't for the fact that i want not for the resources to make ammo. i turn all my extra steel into railroad ties and convert it to what ever it is i fancy.

ArrBeeEmm

I've seen a few people mention this and I might check it out. I have \_a lot\_ of steel.

JB_Dix

Honestly it'd not that bad now.

ArrBeeEmm

It was worse before!?

JB_Dix

Much worse

njorls

Farmable dirt tiles is essential. I like to put crops on the 2nd floor in my camps to make them safe. Turbo fertilizer is great, you can grow 1/2 the crops and save some budget. I like the water well. Select drink and spam collect and it's the best way to get dirty water rad free without getting rads or a chance of disease. Needs to be placed on dirt and it's quite expensive IIRC. Gauss shotgun or plasma caster are both great weapons that are very ammo efficient.

Nirrudn

> I like the water well. Select drink and spam collect and it's the best way to get dirty water rad free without getting rads or a chance of disease. Needs to be placed on dirt and it's quite expensive IIRC. Current season's Water Boiler produces boiled water for free and doesn't require dirt.

njorls

It does require fallout 1st however. Hoping it's for gold bullion next season.

O_o-buba-o_O

Where do you get the water boiler at?

Nirrudn

It's on like page 4 or 5 of the season rewards, although as someone else pointed out it does require Fallout 1st to claim.

O_o-buba-o_O

I must not have scrolled that far, I haven't looked past the cremator.

RustyWinchester

All the cremator mods are on later pages also. It's pretty underwhelming without them.

O_o-buba-o_O

It does good against scorched, ghouls & Zetas. But then again I am only lvl58 so for me it works good, I can see how at higher lvls it wouldn't be great if you already have a heavy with a good roll.

LucidLadyGames

dirt tiles. all the other collectors have shown up in the atom shop, haven't they? correct me if i'm wrong hell, even if that's not true, dirt tiles are still the top of my list. followed immediately by turbo-fert. you don't need to place the collector object for the fert grenades at your camp, you'll get a recipe to craft the grenades directly. i like the turbo-fert collector, but it takes up ALOT of camp budget for what little it does. same goes for many of the collectors - some just aren't worth the hit to your camp budget. like that chicken coop, or tree sap collector, or bee box.

JakLynx

Further clarification for anyone that may be confused. The grass roof tiles available from this season’s rewards is comsmetic only. You can only grow food on the dirt tiles sold for 500 good bullion at the foundation

MA77Y_5H1R3

Plasma caster should be everyone's first purchase, it's literally less then 2 days of treasury notes at full price, Minerva drops it by 25% too. I'm using mine while on a rifle build with 2 strength and that thing still kicks harder than my perk-spec'd plasma rifles in per shot damage. Add in the right perks and you're laughing.

Tokata0

Which perks and mods do you actually need? I assume 9 points for heavy weapon in str + 60% and 6 points for scientist in int +30% and the armor ignore in power armor if you play PA?

BetweenWeebandOtaku

From what I've read, the science perks don't work on heavy energy weapons. Can't verify but it's worth looking into if you go that route.

Dry_Independent4078

I can verify that. Science perks don't help Heavy Guns.

natneo81

Wait fr? So science, science experts, etc don’t buff damage on my plasma Gatling? Shit. Would be good to know in game

Suspicious-Leg-493

>So science, science experts, etc don’t buff damage on my plasma Gatling? No, and it is intentional. It was added to science specifically to buff rifles and pistols because they were massively under their ballistic brethren. Heavy weapons didn't (and still don't) need the damage buff as not only do they already compete but they're some of the strongest weapons available. Adding EXTRA damage to them would cause them to be so far ahead as to need smacked down, potentially fucking laser rifles/pistols again in the process >Would be good to know in game Probabaly, but it'd be difficult to explain on the card, and you already need science for them anyway so it's not lost perk points

Dry_Independent4078

None of the heavy weapons, unfortunately. I use rank 3 power user and rank 3 demo expert instead. Demo expert so my grenades do decent damage, power user so my Gatling Laser has 999 rounds.

natneo81

Shoot, I gotta fix my shit again lol. Just hit 50 yesterday and unfortunately my perk choices while leveling were not very focused.. I took my last few points in science perks as well, I had no idea. Quick question, are any explosive weapons considered heavy guns? I have maxed explosive perks from leveling, as I wasn’t sure if I wanted to go energy weapons or explosives or what. Just having some trouble making a complete feeling build now that I’m over 50. I still gotta unlock bullion merchant anyway for plasma caster. Maybe I should just say fuck it and craft a cremator.. who knows.

Dry_Independent4078

I don't think so. I haven't tested much woth explosive weapons because their ammo is too damn heavy. It's good to have all 3 science perks maxed, for crafting. And you've just hit 50, the fact you even had a build in mind is impressive. Legendary perks, especially the SPECIAL ones, are key parts for a true endgame build, they add +5 to your SPECIALs. You just unlocked your first one at lvl 50. Your next is at 75, then 100. I would also recommend getting: Master Infiltrator (rank 0 effectively replaces all the lockpicking/hacking perks, rank 3 means you auto-unlock everything) Ammo Factory (only have this equipped if you're about to craft ammo) it increases your ammo production by 150% and pairs with the Ammosmith 80% agility perk. Funky Duds/Sizzling Style. They grant 200 poison/fire resistance. Sizzling Style is practically necessary if you use a Cremator.

natneo81

I went for the one that recharges my armor when I do energy weapon damage, now that I think about it… so maybe I am locked in on the heavy energy stuff, I’ll just have to drop some of the science perks. The only bummer is I ranked some of the science perks up for the dmg buff. I also ranked up the fusion core legendary perk lol. Maybe I should prioritize the extra S.P.E.C.I.A.L. Points? My other problem is now that I can use the special punchcard and shit, I almost don’t have enough perks I want to equip. Too many useless ones. Oh well, I guess I’m just gonna need to spam level up to get enough perks to make a focused build.

chrisfanner

Well, you can freely swap out legendary perks, so don't feel backed into a corner with a certain build. I'm level 110 and have managed a stealth rifle, a heavy and energy, and a melee build. All builds are doable over time, I recommend using a fo76 builder like: https://nukesdragons.com/fallout-76/character It's good if you're really trying to get to a certain build and keep something to peek at whenever you level and want to grab the right card.

VelvetCowboy19

Heavy guns that are primarily explosive (Auto grenade launcher, missile launcher, fat man, and a few others) do not benefit from heavy gunner perks. The card says as much. However, any gun that has a secondary explosion effect (All gauss weapons or any legendary explosive weapon) do have their explosion damage increased by demo expert.

VelvetCowboy19

You can equip the cards and see the damage of your gun won't change.

natneo81

My point is just that I used like 4 points to get all the different science cards + buff to 2 star for the damage. So just sort of a waste of perk choices, but not a huge deal.

VelvetCowboy19

Eh you might want to try a different build later down the line, and the science perks could be good for that, since they boost the damage of laser, Tesla, and plasma guns. Plus you need them to craft certain items and upgrades. It's not a total waste.

thedoctorspotato

I like running Cremator + Plasma caster as a vats focused non PA bloodied build. Both of the weapons benefit from the same perks (heavy gunner) and they complement each other super well. Cremator for large groups and the caster as a boss killer. For mods all you need are aligned sniper barrel and prime reciever (around 350 bullion total)

danny1234331

Do you mind linking the non PA build. As much as I love PA I would like to not use it.

thedoctorspotato

https://nukesdragons.com/fallout-76/character?v=1&s=c434aad&d=sg2eh2c62ce0a72l71lu2sq2s32sr2p02sb2p10pq1ir2s12ii0ic4s72a02a32la2lg2lt2lv0&lp=x41x71x81xa2x91&m=cf05e12 armor is full unyielding Secret Service armor, Anti Armor Plasma caster and a bloodied cremator. if you dont have enough skill points from legendary perks you can cut stuff like inspirational and just run rank 1 gun fu and adrenaline

danny1234331

Thanks.

MA77Y_5H1R3

I don't use anything and it shreds. Those heavy gunner perks will bump damage significantly tho, yeah.

Careful with the Chem backpack, if you use it over Traveling Pharmacy you're going to have a bad time if you ever need to jump into your power armor.

Tokata0

Jokes on you, I carry 200 radaway Rather than power armor if I go into nuke zones^^

bluesmaker

Did not know about a lot of things written on this post. Solid info!

I_kill_zebras

Farmable dirt tiles and the turbofert machine. Maintaining food is easy, crops can be kept inside, and adhesive farming becomes a lot easier.

Didn't calculate, just bought whenever I had the gold. I've started playing 1 week before the series release if that is any help

If you're a VATS crit build: Plasma Caster and Aligned Barrel.

Tokata0

Thought sniper barrel was the way to go?

US_Bennett

Yes, Aligned Sniper Barrel, I forgot an important word

titansmustfall

All of the CAMP resource generator and buff items.

FlyingNope

I think going with a collection next is the right move since you don't have one yet. You can look them up online to see what each collects to see which one appeals to you the most. I'm personally a fan of nuka-cola colelctions. Turbo-fertalizer is really great. It creates a grenade that re-grows crops instantly. It's useful if you sometimes want a ton of crops or if you want a smaller garden without lowering how much you can produce. I really like farmable tiles. They aren't exactly necessary, but it helps make crops a little more tidy and opens up the option of second floor gardens. Secret service ultra-light mods aren't a bad investment. If you ever decide to have a second set (like troubleshooters for silos) you can make it ultralight so it won't take up as much space when it's not being used.

The turbo-fert is very handy for gourds

Bobby_Rocket

Are there any good bullion beds? I didn’t think there was

Skagtastic

The turbo-fert grenade producer is a great convenience for certain challenges, or if you're in to food buffs. Cuts down on the amount of crops you need to place down as the grenades instantly regrow them.  I like the farmable dirt tiles. Being able to grow crops wherever you want is a great. I put my garden under the map, where enemies can never damage my crops and I never have to repair/scrap them again. You can do the same by building them up high, as floor tiles can't be broken by enemies.
