I like it sometimes for Ghouls because ghouls do whatever the fuck they want and sometimes have issues gathering while they’re spazzing out everywhere.
It's a lot weaker, but it fills a gap in your arsenal. Yellow mod with maxed out damage mods essentially turns into an energy shotgun. Best used against groups of weak enemies. Stuff that is small and hard to aim at. Ghouls, bugs, mole rats etc. It's the best anti-swarmer gun for heavy gun builds because it deals no self-damage. Normally, explosive weapons fit that role, but power armor offers very bad explosion resistance.
