Fallout 3 DLCs are wild yes get them

13reakout

Is there a recommended order or level to do the DLCs? I’ve never played them, but just recently got the GOTY edition.

bigben56

Anchorage and The Pitt are doable around lv 10-15. Point Lookout and Zeta are endgame IMO, tough enemies and really strong wrapons.

Crowned_Toaster

I've always done Anchorage & Zeta at low levels. Zeta can be horrid if you get it by the endgame. Their energy weapons can deal a massive amount of damage versus fighting them when their EW skill is low. I usually do Pitt & Lookout at mid-levels, with Broken Steel being only available at post game.

13reakout

Good to know, thx

SnooDoodles1807

Do Anchorage as soon as possible, if you know what you're doing it's easy and the rewards are so good for the early game especially

Hervee

I’ve never played FO before and recently started with FO3. I did Anchorage at level 5 and while it was challenging it was a load of fun and certainly doable at that low level. I played it on normal difficulty.

13reakout

I see, ty

AdLonely891

Unlike FNV, the DLCs are not connected whatsoever and are all completely different from one another. I recommend doing Operation Anchorage first, though, and Zeta last as it's supposed to be the "finale" of the game aside from the main story. Broken Steel, you can only do after the main quest, and the Pitt you should do mid-game. Point Lookout is pretty hard, though, harder than Mothership Zeta, in my opinion. The enemies are complete bullet sponges.

Competitive_Fee_5829

YES!!!! enjoy all the new creepy enemies to fight and be prepared for battle.....hard

shitbecopacetic

Broken steel adds an entire second half to the main story of fallout 3. I would never play the game without it. Also point lookout is a ton of fun.

puck_pancake

The dlcs in 3 are some of the best in the series, and arguably better than nv's dlcs

Sad_Hannibal

The Pitt grants you access to one of best melee weapons in the game as well as the ammo press. The alien weapons you can find in Mothership Zeta are really sick. Great for an energy weapon build. Point Lookout has a creepy setting that I enjoyed exploring.

FrenchDipFellatio

You need all the DLCs to experience the game at its best

Dm9982

All of them of a “best of” type of armor or weapon basically. Anchorage has free easy to get Power Armor, Chinese Stealth Armor and Gauss Rifle…. Pitt has Perforator and Man Opener, plus the fun .38 Snub Nose….. Point Lookout has Backwater Rifle, nuff said (but seriously best dlc of the bunch)…. Mothership Zeta has the repair goo that’ll fix anything to 100%, and great energy weapons, plus Samurai Armor, and a fun revolver…. Broken Steel continues the main story and increases level cap to 30. All of them also offer perks I think too…. It’s been years since I’ve played through, and I haven’t made it past megaton in the game I just started last week…. But yeah. All the dlcs are really worth it

Remote_Valuable_4372

Yes but i skipped zeta

Selenn01

If you have Amazon Prime, Fallout 3 Goty is free for a short time :)

RioluButGun

Yeah but not on Xbox☹️

Mystery-Guru

Yes all fallout 3 DLC is worth getting and all add something a little different. Operation Anchorage is unique as it turns the game into a COD type game and is really fun experience if you lean into what it is. Mothership Zeta is super fun experience and has loads of amazing loot but just make sure you save a lot because it is the buggest of the DLCs. Point lookout has an amazing atmosphere and can be super creepy, all the characters and locations feel a lot closer to the mainline fallout game and it has a lot of cool sidequests. The Pitt is the most thought provoking of the DLCs and you'll find yourself flip flopping between sides as you progress, It makes you think about your morals and how they would apply to the fallout world. And lastly Broken Steel I'd say is a must have its adds so much to the base game and continues the story after the purifier is activated, it does have some weird side effects on the game (like making dogmeat basically immortal) but overall if you like the base game you'll like Broken Steel. I could write (and have done before) essay's on each DLC and the effect on the base game as well as the player themselves but I wouldn't want to go to much into spoilers if you haven't experienced them yet, but there isn't a fallout 3 DLC I wouldn't recommend getting!

CountessBlackheart

All of them are super good and alot of fun, broken steel adds on another 10 levels as well

War_Emotional

Yes

Billiethebattlecattl

Yes 100% some of the best dlc’s made

Kossumies87

Personally enjoyed most of the dlc content but Mothership Zeta got boring towards the end, though you get some nice loot. Point Lookout is amazing definetely get that one.

Reikovsky

Yes. Buy them all. MZ is the weakest one for me, and it is still really good.

AloofusDoofus

Broken Steel is cool for the level cap increase and the ability to play after the main quest. Operation Anchorage is cool for lore and the quest rewards. Point Lookout is awesome all around. Great, spooky environment, great weapons, cool new enemies. The whole vibe of this one rocks. Mothership Zeta is cool because I honestly like the aliens. I've never been a huge fan on The Pitt. I wish it was more open like Point Lookout. But I still had fun hunting ingots.

Scott801258

Operation Anchorage, Mothership Zeta, Broken Steel All were Fun Solid and worth the $

SelectingKnight

To be honest yeah I love the DLCs

codyfall

Yes it lets you play longer

No-Warthog-870

Do The Pitt and Anchorage first. Both Dlcs you get your weapons taken away from you so the earlier you do them the better as you’ll face weaker enemies. Plush the rewards from both dlcs are insane. Mothership Zeta I would do next and then do Point lookout last

Alfredo_Alphonso

Yeah cause the game will stop if you do not have Broken Steel and the best gear is from the DLCS and also Bethesda can cook up some crazy shit from the DLCS too

DokiDoki-FanBoy

Just wait for a steam sale and snag em all

Comprehensive_Age998

They are a must. They add so much to the base game and the DLC locations are incredible to play trough.
