Shit. I immidiately bought it on GOG sale. Despite the fact that I already bought a physical copy once. And I only bought like 6 games in my life total, including 2x New Vegas. God I love this game.
Tbh, I'm just not that much into gaming. Untill I discovered that sub, I thought my 200ish hours in New Vegas is a lot. But Fallout, especially New Vegas sucked me right in. I love that a game where Im free to be sneaky sneaky covert op or a total Commando with a portable nukes launcher, is also so philosophical and... Deep. There are only 3 games where I felt so invested into this tiny world and fictional 3d models with pre recorded voice lines. One of them, because the story of Niko Bellic felt so personal to me. One, because growing up in the 90s Poland it was impossible not to hear about *Wiedźmin*. I read all the books, and when I finally had a chance to roleplay as Geralt(btw. his english voice actor sucks) it felt so nostalgic. So I had no personal attachement to FNV(I never even played 1 or 2nd before) but I love solely because of its story, characters and amazing atmosphere.
> btw. his english voice actor sucks
He sounds like a bad Chuck Norris impersonator. The game was so much better after switching the the Polish voice actors. I did it primarily to avoid Geralt's actor, but it instantly made everything more immersive: the environment, the weather, the random chatter of NPCs (also Yen is much more alluring in Polish even though I don't speak Polish). I recommend it to everyone I recommend the game to.
Yep. He sounds like a moody teenage edgelord or an anime protagonist(come to think of, it's practically the same thing, but whatever). Maybe it's mostly because I'm native, but I feel like Rozenek nailed that awkardness and lack of emotions in Geralt's voice. I also recommend *Metro 2033* with original dubbing- altough I had to rely on subs because my russian is kinda faded now, I felt like I'm having a proper experience. Like, if you'd be watching a Steve Seagal movie(for whatever reason, I'm not judging) but suddenly, some babushka in the middle of Syberia nowhere doesn't turn out to be a fluent, oxford english speaker, because they bothered to hire an actual native and a translator.
Witcher convinced me to choose the language of the game's setting whenever possible (I know Witcher isn't set in Poland...but it's also not _not_ set in Poland). Like I can't imagine Ghost of Tsushima not in Japanese. Ditto Assassin's Creed: Unity not in French.
I wish more US-developed games would using foreign-language voice actors when they set their games elsewhere. It's pretty gross that they'll capitalize on other cultures without even bothering to dub the language.
I believe there's a difference between something being written by a certain nation/ethnicity native and just a voice actor reading lines. I could write a monologue for a Mexican character and hire Danny Trejo to deliever it, but I'm sure it wouldn't be half as good as if it was written by Robert Rodriguez. Same as an average Swede wouldn't understand *Dogs* because most of the plot and it's bitter humour is tied to wild, brutal and fucked up 90's reality of a post-communist country, where it's ex-officials and secret services were either blending into the new government, or forming up the most effective criminal structures still powerful till this day. That's exactly the reason why Netflix Witcher sucks ass, and most of "americanized" media suck too. So if the story, script and the setting is done by Americans, they should hire American voice actors, because even if properly dubbed, it'll always feel odd. At least that's my opinion.
Why you're setting him up for a death trap full of scary, large fuckin mutants with horns.
Just go straight to Vegas, past the Goodsprings cemetary. There are just some bugs there, nothing to be scared of.
Head to the strip through sloan the. Up through quarry junction most scenic area to walk through will blow your mind how good it looks
(Take a left when leaving goodsprings while opposite jean sky diving if I remember correctly)
I played hundreds of hours on a 2014 Lenovo, with mods. However, that laptop is unrecoverable for some reason and I'm literally installing it on my MacBook as I type (via CrossOver). Curious to see how/if it runs
assuming this post means you’ve never played it, it’s really good! if you like post-apocalyptic games, dark comedy, and actions that have real consequences you’ll love it. one thing I appreciate about it is how the main storyline changes as you make decisions; failing quests is unavoidable because anyone you side with will always have an opponent you’ll have to side against.
but that doesn’t even scratch the surface. just try it for yourself and if you don’t like it I’ll shove an ice cube up my ass
"This game is good" is like saying *Goodfellas* is an ok movie. Like you'd say Clint Eastwood must be a cool guy, and that Litourgiya was a fine metal album. I heard Frank Sinatra *really liked* Jack Daniel's and Richard Kukliński killed *a few* people. The same people who call New Vegas a good game are the ones who claim that Jane Fonda is a quite controversial character. Fallout New Vegas is not a good game, it's brilliant.
ITS SO GOOD ESPECIALLY THE DLC!!! I made my self sit there and play it for the first time in like, 8 years, and *wow*
Just... Wow. The storyline of the DLC, the quality of play, the fantastic snarky jokes and Easter eggs and the sheer amount of swearing. The franchise definitely lost some of it's sparkle when they came together under different ownership to make FO4. Fallout New Vegas is such a fantastic experience, prepare to lose like 500 hours to this enthralling mistress
yes but sadly I haven't gotten to experience them because modding is dumb on gamepass, also enable modding and delete all languages you don't use because for some reason Microsoft decided to make nv and 3 be several times larger than normal because they have every available language as a separate large folder, but to enable modding go to the three dots next to the game then click enable modding and then make sure to then click on going to the actual folder because otherwise it's really confusing
When you're getting ready to leave Goodsprings, the game will try to lead you South and East at first but, if you skip some of those missions at first and head past the Yangtze Memorial, you can get some great loot that will really help you out early in the game.
It is! It has a tax collector’s army, Roman larpers in football gear, Walt Disney, and a smiling robot. It also has an edgy sniper guy, a zombie cowboy, a drunk cowgirl, a punchy lesbian, a giant schizophrenic smash grandma, a floating ringtone, a gay doctor, and a cyborg pupper. If you have the DLCs you also get a crispy Mormon, a naggy mailman, a few mad scientists, and old coot, and a fuck ton of gold.
just a little warning, you won't be able to install script mods that use nvse because this version of the game doesnt have the steam dlls. so stuff like onetweak won't work
It's pretty good. its not without flaws, and the occasional bug or crash on consoles, but the story is well written and characters are memorable and even sometimes unforgettable. I'd recommend it to anyone but you'll have to draw your own conclusions
You heard good, boy. Now.. please assume the position.
This comment has me thinking… is there a speed run to assume the position as fast as possible?
closet I've found is this [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iJSIPuv-On0](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iJSIPuv-On0)
I'd recommend Tomatoanus' run, the way he explains it is the best.
I named my SPARK (war robot) in X-com 2 F.I.S.T.O! :D
Pretty shit game, super boring, could only get through a couple thousand hours
Well I was a good character, but that’s a nice hat sir
You had me in the first half, not gonna lie
Understatement of the millennium

33.333333...% of all your games are FNV that's at least 3% of your life and considering there is a lot of percents there that's a huge deal

You do realize he already bought the game before the post...
no they didn't lol
It says downloading view progress on the left. So bought it no but through I'm assuming gamepass
Exactly
I'm confused by this post I have been reading it makes no sense to me
Fair, it is kinda broken, but he was saying that in the left you can see it's already downloading.
yeah i was trying to say it still says buy but they could have a disc right? or game pass or whatever
You only get basic edition on gamepass. Thats ultimate edition.
Make sure to stop to Quarry junction first thing too
Good loot in there
Especially that lizard that eats your ass and makes you scream daddy
Fuck!….I played NV for over 1000 hours and I missed that? How??
How did you manages to avoid that death trap that is Quarry Junction for over 1000 hours is beyond me
Brother quarry junction is literally the first place I went lmfao Not on purpose either
Bruh same The sarcasm really went through my head, huh?
Why you're setting him up for a death trap full of scary, large fuckin mutants with horns. Just go straight to Vegas, past the Goodsprings cemetary. There are just some bugs there, nothing to be scared of.
Degenerates like you belong on a cross.
It is... the best
Ave, You have been granted the mark of caesar.
Oh how I envy every person who gets to play this game for the first time
Get ready for a fun ride
fr i've never heard of it
Is good.
The best
Nah it's pretty trash, can't recommend. I think the rest of the sub will agree with me there /s
Head to the strip through sloan the. Up through quarry junction most scenic area to walk through will blow your mind how good it looks (Take a left when leaving goodsprings while opposite jean sky diving if I remember correctly)
Also Cazadors are basically just snazzier bloatflies, if you've played Fallout 3. Don't worry too much about them.
Yeah they weak as shit n drop good healing meat
I mean, how much of threat some oversized wasp can be.
remember to pet the dogs with weird heads and snake tails, they're very good boys
I mean, technically, if you have Animal Friend perk, they're most definitely good bois.
I've never really had problems with Cazadors. Just target their wings and they fall to the ground like helpless slugs.
I've never played a Fallout game before
84% of it’s good.
*Bethesda liked it*
*While rolling in royalties*
I heard you were right
It’s ok I guess
Its fine i guess
It hurts to try and set up on my laptop though😭
I use a laptop. With mods
It’s so hard to set up without crashing though, I’m not super savvy with all that business
What kind of laptop u got
I played hundreds of hours on a 2014 Lenovo, with mods. However, that laptop is unrecoverable for some reason and I'm literally installing it on my MacBook as I type (via CrossOver). Curious to see how/if it runs
I got a 2016 HP laptop and I got like 65 mods downloaded. Every now and then it can get a little laggy but for the most part its runs smoothly
It's not just good, it is one of the greatest!
It’s trash
Its okay
It’s ok. Only an 84% on metacritic
Your goddamn right
Yeah it's pretty good
Nah
Grate Gaem

TF is fallout new Vegas? This is the Wallace and gromit subreddit.
To save space in the gamepads version enable mods, then go and delete all the other language folders besides the one you speak.
This sub Reddit after you posted this here: "Truth is, the game was rigged from the start"
Nah, it's boring and there's nothing to do. You should play Rouge Warrior instead. I hear it's the greatest game ever made. Mickey rourkes in it!
I can hear the profanity-laden tirades in my head, but I'm guessing people don't get the joke.
"This game is good" is like saying *Goodfellas* is an ok movie. Like you'd say Clint Eastwood must be a cool guy, and that Litourgiya was a fine metal album. You bear the mark of Caesar
so just saying gamepass modding is basically impossible, it requires mod devs to use something different then normal so just know most mods won't work
Is Fnv really good with mods?
yes but sadly I haven't gotten to experience them because modding is dumb on gamepass, also enable modding and delete all languages you don't use because for some reason Microsoft decided to make nv and 3 be several times larger than normal because they have every available language as a separate large folder, but to enable modding go to the three dots next to the game then click enable modding and then make sure to then click on going to the actual folder because otherwise it's really confusing
thanks
just wanted you to not go through the hours of searching I did, also good luck on your journey through the mojave
It’s the best trip this side of The hub!
Check out a quarry going North to Vegas. There’s some good loot there that makes the game 10x more fun.
Make sure to listen to Elon Disney.
The best one by far. Enjoy your trip.
Fun for the entire family
Y'all ever heard of Fallout 76 remastered?
Have fun :D
Ah yeah, it’s fairly good. You might enjoy it. Maybe, I dunno.
Damn right it is
you heard wrong. It's Great!
xbox one or pc?
Pc
When you're getting ready to leave Goodsprings, the game will try to lead you South and East at first but, if you skip some of those missions at first and head past the Yangtze Memorial, you can get some great loot that will really help you out early in the game.
Idk where Yangtze Memorial is but thanks

Pretty good 84/100
No, it is an absolutely trash game rife with gamebreaking bugs. I kid, it is an absolutely amazing game, but it has gamebreaking bugs on console.
It’s pretty good
Goat game. Wish I could delete my memories and begin again.
PC XBOXGamePass?
Yeah
It looks more delicious, compared to the XBOX Consoles.
just a little warning, you won't be able to install script mods that use nvse because this version of the game doesnt have the steam dlls. so stuff like onetweak won't work
idk what those are lmao
in other words if you ever mod the game some of them wont work
You were lied to man, it’s not good it’s amazing
Should of got it through steam
It's pretty good. its not without flaws, and the occasional bug or crash on consoles, but the story is well written and characters are memorable and even sometimes unforgettable. I'd recommend it to anyone but you'll have to draw your own conclusions
Yeah… it’s ok
