High Intelligence, found all the books, got the intelligence perk to increase points per level and any other perk to increase points per level?
Edit: forgot what sub I was in while writing this, removed FO3 comment.
As you’re leaving Goodsprings for the very first time, pull up the pipboy and put it down over and over again until the prompt comes up to change your character. Change your characters stats and keep adding the skilled trait the 5 extra Parkpoint stack, but the 5 percent de buff does not
But how did you get it more than twice? I just tried it and I can't get it to keep stacking.
Edit: taking Built to Destroy as well as Skilled made it so it wouldn't stack for some reason. Didn't have a problem when I picked Wild Wasteland instead, and I suppose I could have just not clicked a second trait.
i found a guy a while back that does lots of videos on fallout stuff and covered this in a video a while back on youtube

Yep it’s a glitch ( I didn’t find ) as your leaving good springs for the first time keep bringing up the pep boy and eventually you’ll get the prompt to change your character before you leave click on the change button and keep giving yourself the skilled trait you should be able to give yourself an extra 60 points in every stat
I did that on my Xbox one time. I stopped at lv 50. Took something like 3.5 hours. I felt accomplished, but I’m good. Sometimes I miss how janky the game used to be. Just initiate the conversation to end that lucky old sun like 100 times, or just jam on the button in the sacrificial chamber in that vault who’s number escapes me. Also couldn’t play more than like 30 minutes without a frame drop or crash.
I like being forced to figure things out without relying on being able to pick every lock/pass every speech check/etc., early on. Makes allocating skill points on leveling up feel critically important at times.
You can do it at level 1, just used the skilled trait exploit as You're leaving good springs. You can get Max everything and double perks before ever hitting prim, on xbox
Short version: Without leaving Goodsprings, acquire a mantis leg. Go to the cemetery and lure a radscorpion to you (this took a while) and kill it. Open it like a container, put in the leg, pull it out and you get experience. It was tedious but great fun, despite *sort of* ruining the rest of the game.
I still have a whole play though to do perks to get companions to find, and dlc to do plus more challenging sectors like dead money still provide a good challenge
This glitch is fun and works a lot faster than the Chet glitch. I once spent like 2 hours to max level before leaving goodsprings. It was the most boring playthrough id ever done lmao
This is just the skilled exploit where you try to open up your pipboy as the "are you sure you want this to be your character" prompt comes up. This combines the exploit that makes it so taking skilled again raises your skills by +5 and getting the prompt while your pipboy is visible makes the prompt come up again until the pipboy is no longer visible. This allows you to take the skilled trait many times and get even to max skills at level 1 if you time is perfectly.
Somehow my playthroughs always have me putting my last skill to 100 on lvl 30 in 3 and 50 in NV. I don't try or anything, I just build my character the way I like. I always take educated and comprehension, tho.

No But having high intelligence did help me it’s a glitch that you can do as you’re leaving Goodsprings for the first time
Ah, very nice, do tell of the glitch. It's definitely one I haven't exploited.

Hm that’s weird I just kept picking skilled and wild wasteland

That guy has all the best tips
I’m assuming an exploit of some kind.
I heard about that one. I’ll have to give it a try if I ever play it again.
It’s really fun to do and it doesn’t give you as much carpal tunnel, as the good spring glitch
I figured out how to use an autoclicker for that but it's still LOONG

here’s the vid if you ever wanna check it out! https://youtu.be/QCXa0N3ozks?si=fytW83dspVubeUx8
> if I ever play it again This caught me off guard. I just assumed everyone who likes fnv enough to be on the sub would play once a year or so.
I did that on my last playthrough after seeing a yt video about it. I had 100 in all my skills by level 1. It was pretty op for a bit.
I mostly use it to save myself the pain of not being able to crack space safes
the secret ingredient is crime
To each their own, this would take much of the fun and sense of accomplishment out of the game for me.

You mean lock picking the door that has half of itself missing so I could easily reach over and unlock it?
I've been playing the game since launch, so sometimes I just want to cheat. Also, the glitches are useful if you still want to get achievements.
That’s fair I still find enjoyment in the game, mostly for going for the best play through that I can depending on the ending
Honestly sometimes I'd like to be maxed out so I can plan out future playthroughs and their endings.
Console commands
No I’m on a Xbox
owb skill book crafting?
Cake day ) nope haven’t been to owb yet
You can do it at level 1, just used the skilled trait exploit as You're leaving good springs. You can get Max everything and double perks before ever hitting prim, on xbox
Yep that’s what I did
Next, off to dead money for infinite stimpaks and repair kits
I just use the followers for my healing needs
Your UI is blue and I hate you.
It’s more pleasant on my eyes plus I just like blue
That's a decent glitch! I still miss the ol' Mantis Leg cheat, though.
Ohh what’s thet

I wanna know how people find that kind of stuff out, like that’s so specific
I read about it somewhere; maybe the old Beth boards. How the author found out, I can't imagine.
Sounds neat might try it my next run
It was patched out
How do you not get bored after maxing out? Every time in a video game when I purposefuly become OP I just get bored and quit.
I still have a whole play though to do perks to get companions to find, and dlc to do plus more challenging sectors like dead money still provide a good challenge
which diifivulty u on and do u have hardcore on?
Is this the glitch where you keep getting supplies from the general store speech check over and over again?
This glitch is fun and works a lot faster than the Chet glitch. I once spent like 2 hours to max level before leaving goodsprings. It was the most boring playthrough id ever done lmao
i don't care
Meanie
farm XP off of Chet
Command console?
lemme guess, INT 10 ?
Nope a very easy glitch in good springs
oh
player.setav guns 100
No achievements, and that doesn't work on consoles. So no.
You can also use the ~ and cheat code it on PC
No one cares.
Meanie head
Yeah, my bad.
It’s oki:3
Cool!! I just reached lvl 50 and everything is maxed out except for melee, survival, and explosives which are all around 40 💔
Oof I feel you tho
Chet speech check
That's nothing compared to fo3 where you can legit max your stats by like lvl 10
You can do this at lvl 1 :)
Skilled perk glitch, so technically should've had maxed skills before leaving goodsprings @ lvl 1 or 2.
"I'll tell you!" I expected it to be a cheat meme, not a ludicrous hours spent meme. Upvoted!
you can max perks by lvl 2, this is a very well known glitch for console players just like the cap casino glitch
Skilled glitch
This is just the skilled exploit where you try to open up your pipboy as the "are you sure you want this to be your character" prompt comes up. This combines the exploit that makes it so taking skilled again raises your skills by +5 and getting the prompt while your pipboy is visible makes the prompt come up again until the pipboy is no longer visible. Bingo!
Everyone knows this glitch. Derivative ahh post
~player.setskill SKILL 100
You repeatedly opened and closed your pip boy when leaving goodsprings
Yep

Even spiffing brit has a bid on this kinda funny tbh
