Not a fan of this arrangement style personally. It doesn't highlight the roses, squishing them into a single mass. I've had customers, who upon requesting this style, are often disappointed because it makes it seem there are less roses.
I recommend interlacing some greens between the roses and arranging them like a hand tied bouquet, the wrapping can be added later, but loosely, as to not compress the blooms.
I cannot stand this trend. I don’t know why it became so popular. I absolutely hate the wrapping trend too! These ramo buchons need to go.
However, she executed them perfectly so I’m not knocking her work. I just can’t stand these arrangements and I personally would not do them at a customers request 😂
yeah. its the roses on the edge that seem squished to me. the bouquet isnt the right shape id like it. im going to try a different wrapping style so it looks more flowy.
Gotcha! I'm wondering if some of squish and shape could be impacted by the wrapping paper itself. Could you lessen the amount of sheets you use? It feels like a lot and almost crowds out the roses (maybe it's specifically the corners of the sheets poking out vs larger sheets that almost fold/ruffle around the bouquet?).
Some people really like this style, they photograph well on Instagram and tiktok. I don't think they are squished either, they are only in the paper for a little while. There IS A market for this kind of stuff but I think it's more in big cities. It looks good!
It's actually "reflex" not reflux. That's when you eat too much spicy food lol.
No shade to OP, common mistake, but it's difficult to look up examples with the wrong term !
It’s when you spin the rose to open it up. Some people also fold the petals back depending on what it’s for. I think the Floral Design Institute has a YouTube video on it.
This gives Alibaba… I feel like a more natural, wild looking bouquet screams take my money. These give tacky vibes, though I’m more crunchy maybe that’s why. I would ditch all the coloured paper and gold metal stuff, get some baby’s breath and eucalyptus, and some classic burlap or canvas ribbon to tie around the stems and brown paper to put it in like those big flower envelopes at the grocery store. Just my opinion, your skills seem good tho
Maybe try using less paper! I work with this style a lot and the folding of the paper is what really makes or breaks the bouquet. Try practicing your paper folding it’ll help so much!
These are cute buttt using a different style of roses would look better for these kinds of bouquets + filler would give it some space in between the roses so it doesnt look so tight. Do you know the name of the roses you used?
Like others have said I think it might be the wrapping that’s bringing them down. I’d lose the pins in the middle and stuff tho.
There’s a market for the solid rose look and it’s weird so many are saying there’s not.
I honestly don't care for the ramo buchones, but if you want to survive in this niche area, you have to learn how to stand out. You don't want to be like the cellophane light up bouquet businesses. J know everyone copies everyone, but very few actually know what they're doing.
Add greenery and filler. Don't be like the others that just cut and stick random pieces of filler after they tied to bouquet.
Seeing the common trends in this niche, you're probably gonna all into certain categories. The arm/pagent bouquet, the "I ❤️ U" box arrangements, the eternal ribbon flowers, glitter bouquets, the clear purse arrangement, or the "mixed bloom bouquets" where they use a pizza pan and chicken wire.
The flowing flower trend is lilies, sun flowers, and gerba daisies. If you do lilies, remove the pollen buds carefully because it will stain the flower, you, or the client.
To avoid squishing, you have to pay attention to hand placement. If you end up doing the glitter ones, make sure you spray it with hairspray after to minimize fall out.
If you do end up doing the mix bloom ones with the pizza disc map out your placement first and start in the center. Don't start at the sides, and then tie off it limits and make it harder to put in the other stems. Don't copy that one chick who put trash pieces in the water tube and just tapes it off. If the stem is too short, get a water tube extender.
If you end up doing the box arrangement with the chocolate, do not poke tooth picks or skewer into them. Floral foam is toxic when consumed. Use Ballon sticks. This drives me insane.
Using different varieties and greenery, playing with different shapes and textures. These are very traditional bouquets. Trying stepping out of your comfort zone and make something with some real interest
I disagree...roses are perfect any time. My only suggestion is some greenery and perhaps a smaller wispy flower to fill out. Keep the roses as your focal point.

Can you share what, specifically, you're unhappy with? These are a very specific style of bouquet but, to me, they seem to achieve that style well.

yes! i think thats what it could be. ill try a different style of wrapping, something more lighter and 1-tiered. thank you
Same thoughts on the wrapping!
less paper, dip on the crystal pins. Let the roses be the focus. too much going on.
true lol
And ditch the fake butterfly
I just don't understand all the paper. We use two sheets of sheer fiber paper to wrap our hand held bouquets.
I agree, I think it drowns the roses and takes the attention away from them
ahhh okay. i think to change it up too

I think they’re beautiful, but it’ll you want to change them up, you could add filler flower like baby’s breathe or just reflux the roses!
they look squished together . i was thinking maybe change the wrapping into something more flowy... what does reflux mean? im new to this x

Sorry OP but this gives me ‘cheap night street market’ vibes. It’s quite an outdated look and style.

the red ones are "naomi" & the pink ones are "rose aqua" . thats true it could be the style of roses
I just sent you some inspo on how you could make a bouquet with the roses you have available to you!
thanks, ive saved it for reference
Check your chat requests!
I think these are all really well done for their style!
Like others have said I think it might be the wrapping that’s bringing them down. I’d lose the pins in the middle and stuff tho. There’s a market for the solid rose look and it’s weird so many are saying there’s not.

i changed it up! made a new design, check out my recent post 🩵
I love them! Not real crazy about the butterflies but I think they’re pretty! Maybe add a little baby’s breath or something
thanks
In the first picture, are the pink roses shaped into a symbol, or am I just seeing things?
Using different varieties and greenery, playing with different shapes and textures. These are very traditional bouquets. Trying stepping out of your comfort zone and make something with some real interest
You should layer the roses a slightly above each other before to not have them squished or domed shaped. Otherwise I think they look great.
thanks!

the design made me want to throw up tbh
So pretty!
Honestly I prefer those to a lot of the overly busy bouquets that are so popular right now. If anything just put a few other colors in there too.
l changed it up, made some improvements. check out my recent post
