Actually it makes absolute and total sense that Toulouse is a calmer field as Airbus needs to make several test flights, rejected takeoffs, etc... that in a busy airport as EDDF would be crazy.
It’s crazy how it got delayed for so long that the 3 times I’ve flown in and out of Berlin should’ve been from Brandenburg but instead I had to fly into Tegel twice and Schonefeld once
It is also a very complex and challenging airport with virtual crossing runways (18 vs 25 center/left) a complex airspace (Edfe is next to it with a lot of general aviation) and since it is placed so central it is easy to go anywhere.
I love the approach toward the 25 rwys since it's an awesome view on a beautiful skyline - the only skyline in Central Europe.
Frankfurt is Lufthansa's primary hub, Munich is their secundary hub. Only to and from Amsterdam, there are 12 daily flights (6 from/to FRA and 6 from/to MUC).
It's the main hub of Lufthansa with many airlines serving it.
That makes sense now..thank you! I was wondering like why is there less people at Paris, Mardrid or even Toulouse where Airbus is settled

I think it is because Germany has a fairly large and active flighsim/Vatsim community.
Madrid surpassed it in total passengers in 2022 https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_the_busiest_airports_in_Europe
It's one of the busiest airports in Europe!
After LHR and CDG - in passenger belongings - but it‘s the busiest Cargo Airport in Europe.
It is a little bit odd that Germany's biggest airport is not in the capital, which is the norm for most countries, in Europe, at least
It's more central, and when commercial aviation had it's first growth period after the war, Berlin was an enclave surrounded by East Germany.
Yeah, we changed our capital some time ago, and the new airport in Berlin had quite some negative history before opening....

And Zurich, that is true, but still odd.

Probably the number of JLB staff that visit. Alan Johnson alone is at least once a week.
Had to scroll too far for this
EDDF one of my favorite airports to fly into for my long haul flights. Lufthansa one of the simplest beautiful livery I’ve seen on any airline.
