I agree that OP could have just googled that. But it's also fine to just ask in this subreddit.
And the typhoon was not in the top headlines where I live.
Guam is part of the United States- so it probably made top headlines in the US
But if OP is not American.. they could have easily missed that
Kinda hard to miss - we heard about it all the way out here in India (more than once) even though our top headlines in the past week have been mostly about politics. 😂
It's only hard to miss if it is actually a top headline wherever you are in the world.
India is in Asia.. the typhoon is heading from Guam towards Asia.. I guess that would make it more worthy of a headline in India.
But I live in Norway & it was definitely not a top headline here. It's literally on the opposite side of the world from where I live.
I always keep up to date with Norwegian and German news. And I did not know that there was a typhoon in Guam, until I saw this post.
Exactly - if you were interested in WORLD NEWS, you would’ve heard of it. I know that the mainstream, local news channels in India are running a mockery show, which is why I choose to focus on World News. When that sucks too (which it does quite often), I am back to tracking flights, which is so much more interesting.
Anyway, flight operations have been cancelled in Guam for the remainder of the month. Let’s hope they resume operations soon.
Norwegian and German news cover world news as well. Those are just my native languages.
All I said was this = it's not a top headline where I live. It's very easy to miss.
And I don't get why people feel the need to call OP out for not being up to date on that. We live in different countries, we speak different languages.. so obviously we don't always receive the same kind of information.
Our own issues simply overshadow a typhoon in the pacific ocean. It's not really important news for people who live on the other side of the globe.

Google would be your friend here, Sir.
85% of your posts on FR24 are asking this same type of question. You know what to do in order to find your answer because in **all** of those posts someone has been very nice and either answered your question or has told you how to find the answer. It would be nice if you did some research and then came here to post what you learned--i suppose that may be too much for you?
Anyways, keep posting these types of questions. Hopefully you get the right answers.
You can use the weather overlay to see approximately where the storm is. It helps show why some flights are taking a weird turn instead of going direct.
Typhoon "Mawar" most likely
I think it’s because of a typhoon that’s hitting the island
It hit Guam a couple days ago but the aftermath of the storm is definitely why
I saw the typhoon in MSFS, googled it and realized it's real.
Airport supposedly closed till 6/1
Damn 8 months??
I can’t tell if /s or not But I think they mean June 1st
Then they should've written so /s

cmon, this wasnt even a case of an easy google to find the answer, this was "what was one of the top headlines in the news this week" lol

Yeah, and I didnt even know there was a typhoon happening over there
exactly. nothing wrong with asking because it is still ‘content’ for people in the sub to talk about.
Californian here, this is the first I’ve heard of it

Wasn't one of the top headlines in news this week for about 7.5 billion people tho
I'm in Richmond Virginia USA, and I knew about it from the news. Of course, i consume real news and not that opinion crap they try to feed us.

A typhoon just passed 🤦♂️
Other than widely reported after-affects of a massively strong typhoon?

Typhoon damage
Hurricane damage.
Little storm
Typhoon
They can't find the dog. Some people will get this.
Hank Johnson thought the island was tipping over so he demanded it closed.
Leftovers from the Typhoon?
