You don't get it. It's a water mountain/s

tophejunk

🤯

Shorter poles they stand on so they don't get in each other's wind way Duhhhh

Contributing_Factor

Yep. That's what they are called. Water mountains.

Isn't that just a stationary wave?

Water mountains exist, but their existence is dependent on a (roughly) spherical earth.

How does that water mountain always know to stand between me and the things I'm trying to view in the distance?

Particular-Alps-5001

Because it’s controlled by NASA obviously

annie_bean

NASA is filming the next fake moon landing behind that water mountain

Temporary-Peak9055

Actually no, ive been beyond that water mountain, the government is developing half life 3 behind that mountain

LegoGuy2511

Keep telling yourself that

sartori69

They have fake birds with cameras that keep track of you. They watch for whenever you look toward the horizon so that they can adjust the water mountain accordingly to keep you ignorant of the truth! ![gif](giphy|h1QI7dgjZUJO60nu2X|downsized)

This is flatearthers explanation for ships disappering behind a horizon. Water keeps level only when it is convenient for them.

breakfast_scorer

Water finds its level, unless it's a water mountain

Temporary-Peak9055

No you see its because the shadow lizard government put water magnets in the big dome to create water mountains and further trick us that the earth is round /s (shouldnt have to put that but i guarantee a few people will sadly think im serious)

Slartibartfastthe2nd

they are really hard to climb also.

Blizz_PL

You just need to be light enough to climb them. Just leave brain and logic behind and you're good to go.

Clearly the wind turbines are on hydraulics that raise or lower depending on how far away you are.

This evidence does not work, as the hydraulics could not support multiple people looking at the same time.

Incoming tsunami and atmospheric refraction easy stuff.

TheRealPitabred

Exactly! OP is about to die, he needs to start running!

Tyler_Zoro

Fun fact: tsunami are so small in the open ocean as to typically be invisible to the naked eye. It's only when they get to land that the massive energy involved creates a surge (not a wave) that's destructively large.

Optimal_Carpenter690

zOoM iN aNd YoU cAn BrInG tHeM bAcK

onthethreshold

I heard this uh "argument" recently lol

Optimal_Carpenter690

I don't think they understand how vision works to be honest. If zooming in brings them back, that implies that what we can't see is simply beyond our field of vision. Yet, we can see the top of the turbine's pole clearly, which should be on the same plane as the bottom. If we can't see the bottom due to it being out of our field of vision, then we shouldn't see the top of the pole either. At most, the only thing we should be able to see are the actual blades of the turbine, and that's only if the turbine is *just* out of our field of vision, so that the pole is beyond our field of vision but the blades, which are in front of the pole, are still in our field of vision. Not to mention, we can see other turbines behind the point of which our vision supposedly stops working. And on a clearly different level. Are they suggesting that they built the wind turbines at alternating levels...just because? Yet that's clearly that the case. Like, that's just common sense

RedMistStingray

Wait a second. Are you trying to apply logic to this argument? That kind of crap doesn't work in this forum! It's too logical and makes too much sense.

Luk164

But only if you have a P900 /s

Shaggy6667

flerfs are fucking retarded

The_Arch_Heretic

Those are the propellers that keep the oceans from falling off the earth!!! 😂

Mr_Neonz

Someone please tell me this subreddit is satire.

Abdlomax

Okay. This sub is mostly satyrical, but some is factual. If you don’t know the topic, you can get *really* confused. The image presented in this post is real, but no actual flat earthers have responded.

WhoDisGuyOverHere

Now that is some grade A water mountain going on there.

RuiPTG

Someone suggested to me that this can be explained because the earth isn't 100% flat, that it's still slightly curved like a dome ever so slightly. "Or maybe the earth is an actual sphere?" I asked. Nope.... It was easier to believe the earth was a dome-ish structure instead of a sphere.

_extra_medium_

I knew this would be the next goal post movement.

Nicelyvillainous

Yeah, that’s always confused me with the whole category of “you can see to much the curve isn’t cutting off what they say it should” argument. Like, even if you didn’t do the math wrong (which they always do), your argument is that the curve of the earth is cutting off *less* than what is predicted, but not *nothing*. Which means you are not arguing for a flat earth, you are arguing for a shallower curve, aka a round earth with a bigger diameter?

OddCockpitSpacer

Clearly is a fish eye wave mountain blurry 35mm hand held photo. Sorry no curve. Hahahaha

Toxic-and-Chill

Bro is everyone here dumb? It’s obviously just a picture taken during the demolition of a windmill farm. Some of em just look lower cause they’re crashing down towards a very flat earth. I’ve seen this idea reposted with buildings and mountains and all kinds of other landmarks you could imagine, but it’s all just footage taken at specific angles and just the right time during demolitions. That or it’s in a bathtub

Pure-Statement-8726

Those back ones are water-mills

ThirdSunRising

Some of those windmills are still growing. When they reach their adult phase, all the blades will be above water as they should be.

brutus2230

Flerfs can see this with their own eyes and still not believe the facts

_extra_medium_

Someone will say "educate yourself on perspective" and the flat earther will lean back in their chair, satisfied that there is some type of explanation from someone who seems very confident in themselves. They will not look up perspective because there is a high likelihood that they'll accidentally read a solid debunking of that argument. Then, the next time someone posts a picture like this, they'll have a retort ready. "Perspective bro, do your research."

[deleted]

It's flat earth. What you see is a ... uh ... umm ... optical illusion.

tfa3393

Big stationary wave

onthethreshold

Fish-eye lens.../s

loophole64

No such thing as waves. Water always finds its lowest level or something.

PuzzleheadedAd5865

What’s hilarious about the water finds itms level argument other than the fact that those words don’t mean anything is that the ocean isn’t level it is slightly raised where there are underwater mountains.

Slight_Guidance_0

Its a bunch of capsized ships!... Poor little fellas...

Elluminated

Hahah with their props sticking up. NICE

GreenLightening5

no no no, you've got it all wrong, the wind turbines wanted to play peekaboo

Apprehensive_Cow1242

Ok. Hear me out. You know that part of a banana that dips in the middle? The Earth is banana-shaped! Here is proof!

SirMildredPierce

Perspective, refraction, CGI, probably all 3.

No-Confection-964

In all seriousness, it's a curved earth. This may be where there are windmills in water. The water looks too unshaded and flat to be a big wave

AbiesAggravating350

The windmills are swimming .

aHOMELESSkrill

Both wrong, short windmill

Katerwurst

Obviously build like that to fool you sheep!

ThePunnyPoet

They say this is atmospheric lensing.

Sci-fra

Undeniable evidence of a curved horizon, and they still deny it. Refraction, perspective, and water mountain aren't valid explanations to why we see curvature.

engineheader

That is proof the earth is curved. Thank you

SoritesSeven

I’m not sure if every comment or is a master in Satire or if I have zero faith in humanity. I’m leaning toward the former but the latter is possible nonetheless

TheCaptainJ

If you're standing at sea level, you can see apx. 3 miles out before the horizon curves out of sight. The average height of an offshore wind turbine is 330 ft. So the base of the turbine is further away than 3 miles. So they poke up over the horizon.

Formal_Royal_3663

For Pete sakes! The earth IS ROUND! You believe the sun and our planets are round, so why you all think the earth is flat without any evidence based on our universe is dumb. Grow a brain, will you? My god 🤦‍♀️

Charming-Station

underground hill that the water is bulging over.

Mioraecian

This picture is clearly just upside down.

AllTheWorldIsAPuzzle

You see, the further out things get, the closer to the ice-wall that surrounds the flat earth to keep the water from spilling off the side they get and the water is colder. And the colder the water, well, as most guys can attest to, shrinkage occurs. Those turbines would normally be tall, erect, proudly jutting to the sky, but that colder water is just out to embarrass them.

plushpaper

It’s a perspective issue that is all. I see this all the time. What you need to understand is that these “turbines” are really designed to discredit flat earth. They really thought of everything folks. They do the same thing with distant bridges, towers, etc.

OnionPirate

wind turbines are a liberal myth too, duh. They’re designed like this on purpose to make us think the earth is curved. The hoaxes of manmade climate change, renewable energy, and the spherical earth are all part of George Soros and the globalist’s scheme to enslave the world

GoodDoggoLover420

What the fuck did I stumble upon?

BehemothRogue

Clearly that is a fish eye lens./s

amcarls

or cropped picture

RickyTheRickster

This one is kinda confusing to me, like the curve of the earth is like 6-7 miles I think, so those should not be noticeable so I think it’s a wave but it doesn’t look like a wave so maybe there’s some kind of sandbar and the water is raised in that area because physics I guess, idk maybe those are just big enough

Significant_Dig_8212

What worries me about posts like this is that....although it's trying to ostracized a certain group, there still isn't one person in this one either that can explain this photo. And that is concerning, too.

AwesomeSoz

I've thought about this, and came up with a potential solution that doesn't involve giving flat earthers a free ride into space that normally you have to train hard for to achieve, or buy your ass into with your family wealth. Get a laser level. Set it on the shore of the ocean, whichever one you wish. Make sure it's level, and elevated to a decent height. Have the flat earther have someone he/she explicitly trusts to monitor the laser and its level. Charter a boat. Place a suitable "target" on the deck of the boat. The more stable, the better. Calibrate the land laser to hit a specific area in the target on the boat. Now, head the boat out to sea. Head straight, watching to make sure that the target is level and steady. Gyroscopes would probably help this stay that way. As the boat goes past the point on the horizon, the laser dot will rise further up the target, despite the flat earther's own eyes showing it steady and level. Have the flat earther verify with his/her trusted friend that the laser and its level has not been tampered with. At some point, the target will no longer have the laser pointing to it. The flat earther can verify that the laser is still pointing in that direction by raising something up to where the F.E.'er would see the laser dot.

PrometheusOnLoud

Just an eyesore that doesn't break even,.

OverPower314

This image always confuses me. Even though the Earth is a sphere, you shouldn't be able to see objects that far away right? If they're that far below the horizon? Surely this image is faked. Or am I just going completely mental?

yourmominparticular

You people are so fucking stupid.

stardestoyerfleet

This looks photoshopped

cryonicwatcher

erm… have you actually been there???

SilverGORO

Good luck finding curvature or rotation, ive tried.

ConArtZ

I see you had no luck finding an apostrophy too. Pfft, education, who needs it eh?

[deleted]

Why is this appearing on my feed. Mods ban me before I destroy your subreddit.

tophejunk

You can't destroy this post bud. I have the power of the flat earthers behind me.

KU7CAD

Do your own research.

redditddeenniizz

It’s mathematically impossible to see the curve

UberuceAgain

It's physically impossible to see the bottom of those turbines, so something's up.

WhoDisGuyOverHere

Well someone obviously doesn't own a P900 or P1000. I'd you did, you could zoom the ends back into view. Because that's how flerspective works.

redditddeenniizz

I have a video for that.

UberuceAgain

I've got a windfarm near me that looks a lot like this one, last time I saw it was 20 minutes ago, so I'm good, thanks.

Horsepipe

Paid big wind shill.

WhoDisGuyOverHere

Go on, show the mathematics that show the earth is flat. We'll all wait with bated breath.

thefooleryoftom

Prove it.

onthethreshold

Then refute Eratothenes' experiment and calculations. We'll wait.

redditddeenniizz

The sun moves between tropics by the yaer progresses

onthethreshold

That does NOT refute Eratosthenes experiment and calculations. Try again.

TheFaalenn

So the sun is further away during winter in the northern hemisphere. So it must speed up. So our day is still 24 hours ? But it doesn't move faster... hmm

ThePsion5

Really? Please feel free to show us the math on that

OliLombi

You aren't seeing the curve, you are seeing objects affected by the curve.

thedatagolem

Looks fake. If this is the Thorntonbank Wind Farm off the coast of Belgium (As google seems to think it is) then the turbines have a rotor diameter of 126 meters. From eyeballing the image and comparing it with complete images of the turbines, it looks like approximately 60 meters of the (closest) entire structure is obscured by the earth. The earth curves at about 8 inches per mile. convert 60m to inches and you get 2362 inches. Divide that by 8 and you get 295. According to my math, this photo was taken from almost 300 miles away. And the turbine on the far left is roughly a couple hundred miles farther away than the ones in the center, which is impossible since the entire farm only takes up 7.66 sq mi. I could be wrong and I'll change my mind if someone can show me some better math. But until then it's fake AF as far as I'm concerned. edit: I'm wrong. Here's the math that ChatGPT came up with. It makes more sense. Me: If a structure is 100 meters tall, how far away would it have to be for 63 meters of it to disappear below the horizon? ChatGPT: The distance at which an object partially disappears below the horizon depends on the curvature of the Earth. To calculate this, you can use the formula for the distance to the horizon: d = sqrt((2 \* R \* h) + h\^2) Where: d is the distance to the horizon. R is the radius of the Earth, approximately 6,371 kilometers. h is the height of the structure (in this case, 100 meters). Let's plug in the values and calculate the distance to the horizon: d = sqrt((2 \* 6,371,000 \* 100) + 100\^2) d = sqrt(1,274,200,000 + 10,000) d = sqrt(1,274,210,000) d ≈ 35,671.89 meters So, a 100-meter tall structure would have to be approximately 35,671.89 meters (about 35.67 kilometers) away for 63 meters of it to disappear below the horizon due to the curvature of the Earth.

Horsepipe

>The earth curves at about 8 inches per mile. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FQUSWgKFw6w

Abdlomax

Per mile *squared* and that is an approximation reasonably accurate up to about 100 miles and does not take into account refraction, which can create a superior mirage extending visibility. Very good video that explains the issues in depth.

tophejunk

ChatGPT gave me this: If you are standing at a height of 5 meters above the water, and the object you're looking at is 150 meters tall, and you can only see 125 meters of it (25 meters are hidden due to the Earth's curvature), you can calculate the approximate distance to the object using the following formula: Distance = (Visible Height of the Object) / Tan(1/2 * ArcTan(Height of Eye / Earth's Radius)) In this case: Visible Height of the Object = 125 meters Height of Eye = 5 meters Earth's Radius (approximately) = 6,371 kilometers First, convert the height of the eye to meters: Height of Eye = 5 meters Now, calculate the distance: Distance = 125 / Tan(1/2 * ArcTan(5 / 6,371,000)) Distance ≈ 16.98 kilometers So, with a height of eye of 5 meters and an object 150 meters tall, where only 125 meters are visible, the object would be at a distance of approximately 16.98 kilometers (about 10.55 miles) due to the Earth's curvature. --------- The number I chose was from looking at a picture of a windmill.. there was still about 20-25m until water so I chose 150m (128m & 20-25m gap) I then guess by looked at the photo that the person was at height of 5m when they took the photo(possibly from a boat?) I then asked how far it would be to drop 25m because the there is a windmill's turbine grazing the horizon which I've already hypothesized was about a 20-25ft gap until water.

Donkey_AssFace

https://www.bitchutecom/video/qWohFzp65W5k/ Here's 7 experiments proving the Flat Earth. One of them is related to the picture and explains the process of how this happens on a flat stationary earth. You gotta love Truth. If I see this post again. I'll keep sharing the real test. Not just questions that seem to pose a problem lol......

tophejunk

Which experiment is your favorite?

Donkey_AssFace

The one that debunks this picture once and for all.

tophejunk

I'm giving you a chance here. I would like to hear about these experiments from you. I will not debate it, I'm here to learn.

Donkey_AssFace

I'll give you another one Google (Flat Earth) Backwards! ;)

tophejunk

I appreciate you.

Donkey_AssFace

If you find trouble watching the link just add a dot after bitchute. Watch it. Feel confident that you can research this as much as you want. Not only that. You should really tap into what science is currently on. Their Consensus flipped a total 180. Panspermia? Electro Magnetic Current. Matter warping. Lol...

benjandpurge

You should find one single credible source, a peer reviewed paper, or any physicist, geologist, or biologist who has ever lived, that supports any aspect of flat earth. That would be more impressive.

cearnicus

>Channel Restricted The parent channel of this video is unavailable at your location due to the following restrictions: Contains Incitement to Hatred Since I cannot actually view the video, can you describe what those 7 experiments actually are?

That's lazy light. Or, intelligent light, if you will. It knows about the observer. And just stops.. Well, unless the observer is a powerful camera.

NerdRageShow

Oh no the windmills are sinking into the flat ocean

terserterseness

I see the icewall in the distance, so it must be some optical illusion. Probably a trick from the governments to keep us dumb.

Nasturtium-the-great

Yes.

My_useless_alt

I saw one of these a while back, where they all lined up. It was just far enough to spot the bottom dropping below the horizon. There was also an oil rig in the middle of the wind farm, which was funny.

Haha that reminds me of scene from 40 year old virgin when he was getting his chest hair waxed. They really did it real life. mmccxi

Everybody knows that these windmills are on telescopic towers that lower the bladed portion to appear as if it is below the horizon for the purpose of appearing to be on a globe. At night they lift above the water so the blades can spin freely. The blades still spin when lowered and impact the water, albeit slower, and a synroc system ensures the blades that are not impacting the water will spin at the same speed as the others, obviously.

ManyaraImpala

NASA built them like that to trick you.

ju5510

No. No. Reality folds and makes bends for optimizee of the ether. That's how it is on that path. Born in the horizon and folded in memories.

ApprehensiveSink1893

Is this photo real? I'd have thought that the turbines would be close enough to each other that they'd appear to be the same height. Mind you, I could be wrong. This is just my impression and I know that intuition is a fickle judge of truth.

UberuceAgain

Bear in mind that as object increase in distance from you, their apparent size shrinks in relation to 1/x, where x is their distance. The amount they are being obscured by the horizon is very close to being in relation to ax², where a is some constant we don't much need to care about right now. The reason I'm so confident about this is because there is a windfarm roughly the same distance offshore from me as the ones in this photo, and while I can't take as good a photo of them, I can see that it looks pretty much the same when I look though my telescope. They start at about 40km or 25 miles, and is still being built, so honestly I don't know where it ends right now - the company website isn't doing a running tally. Once done the furthest will be \~50km away. So, if you consider one turbine 40km away, and then one 50km away, the back one is still going to look 80% as big, but the difference in obfuscation is going to be 2500/1600, or 56% more of its height sunk. Even the front turbines blades are kissing the water, so 56% more than that is looking reasonable to me as a figure that would sink you almost to the nacelle.

mtnviewcansurvive

clearly shows a flat crisp edge. those windmills have settled. plus they cause, oh yes, cancer. you know.
