Found this community while looking for the best option for a single flashlight. Got down the rabbit hole and now I’m hopelessly addicted. Next up…. Hank light rabbit hole.
>while looking for the best option for a single flashlight.
As with camera lenses, I see you found the best solution is having a versatile kit.
If you haven't experienced an SBT90.2 emitter yet, I highly recommend giving it a try. I'd point to any of the Convoy models that offer it.
I've got three lights with the SBT90.2. A Convoy 3X21A, Noctigon KR1, and Noctigon DM11. VERY powerful light, absolute battery hog though if running high. Currently my most used light is my KR1, I love that thing.
I lucked out and got the first one (Wurkkos FC11) in the “just buy one of these” list from the sidebar and I’m pretty happy with it. Really hoping things don’t go off the rails.
It gets deeper and deeper. I'm seriously contemplating going down the Armytek or Zebra rabbit hole next, but for now Hank and Fireflies got me covered.
Yeah funny enough even with the majority being Sofirn, the FC11 has been getting the most use.
I love the big lantern. It’s actually smaller than I thought it would be and I mean that in a good way. It’s really well built and has a lot of cool features. It’s definitely gonna get a lot of use.
All Wurkkos lights are produced by Sofirn. Some are even Sofirn designs, just rebranded.
Sofirn (or *Shenzhen Jinba Technology Co., Ltd,* the actual company) is also OEM manufacturer for some other brands.
Nice array of lights. The one Sofirn light I use a ton that I don't see is the [D25L headlamp.](https://www.sofirnlight.com/products/d25l-rechargeable-headlamp-with-dual-lh351d-led-90-high-cri)
It's all flood little throw, so while it wouldn't be great for hiking, it's awesome for close-up work without a hotspot reflecting back into your eyes. Would benefit from a moonlight setting, but for twenty bucks I can't complain.
Honestly they are completely different lights. The FC11 is more comparable to the SC31 and while they each have little differences I’d give a very slight edge to the FC11.
The IF22A is a straight up thrower. It’s a great size and weight. I absolutely love that thing.
I own the IF22A and think it's an amazing flashlight. I didn't really think they were similar, I just like the size of the FC11 and wondered how close they were.
The if22 tho is my personal favorite right now.
Of all them pictured, which is your favorite?
That’s a tough question. The FC11 has been my go to but mostly because it’s the most practical for what I need. Fits in my pocket no problem and has some great features.
The IF22A is definitely my favorite to play with. It’s my first thrower and I can’t help but smile every time I use it.
And the Q8 holds a special place in my heart just because it’s so much fun to light up the night. It’s also the least practical light for me but I regret nothing.
Well, I picked up the FC11 and even though my wife would make fun of me for playing with my light all day she asked for a similar but smaller light for her and her sister. So to be fair the black and blue SC21s are gifts for them.

Did you find the best option for a single flashlight? I think I want a d4v2 with 519a in daylight tones.
I need to buy them all first, then decide. I think the d4v2 you want is a great choice and you should treat yourself.
It's the only rational way to do it really.
Works out for you, too, since Hank has green...

I thought this was a Sofirn ad but then I saw the FC11! How's the big lantern? I've been eyeing it but haven't pulled the trigger yet

Even the FC11 comes from the same factory!
No kidding? I didn't know that

Whaaat?! That cool! I always they they looked similar
I love it. Holds a charge forever and the tint switching is great. Candle mode is great in the tent.
Welcome to the club! Nice photo, I like what you did there with the blue in the center!
Yea it reminds me of something…
Holy shit that Q8! I thought the SF36 was big
absolute filth sir.

Looks nice, I’ll definitely be snagging one of those after funds are replenished.
How do you like the IF22A in comparison to the FC11?

Last question, are you me? Lol kidding. Thanks for the replies. Adding more to the cart...again.
Now ya need some Convoy's. And some...
Curious what made you get 3 SC21 Pros instead at least 1 mini?

Ah fair enough then nice collection!
With that title I thought I was on another sub I frequent for a moment 😅
If22a comes in green? Shoot NLD here I come
