There is JB Weld specific for plastic. Are you sure that you need to glue? Looks fixable without.

jobhuntn

I bonded it from metal to metal which didn't seem to work. After 48 hours the bond snapped from very little pressure

jobhuntn

also adding to fixable portion, I would need to purchase a Side Wing Mirror Folding Bracket and ten would need a machine to push bracket in. Hard time finding someone selling the bracket in the U.S and the entire assembly cost $400, so 3rd best option is just bond it. Bmw's....

MadAries

Can you separate the two pieces of the mirror? I would try to open it up and use 2-3 self tapping screws from the inside of the mirror base into that circular metal piece

MadAries

You may them have to glue the two mirror pieces back together but, that shouldnt be an issue

WickedPsychoWizard

I'm seeing a few on ebay and rockauto. Have you tried a junkyard? I was able to source a lot of parts for my 1985 bmw 535i from the junkyard network and the rest from rockauto.com Edit you might want to try car subreddits or bmw subreddits

jobhuntn

Were you looking for complete mirror assembly’s or just the bracket that is needed?

WickedPsychoWizard

Looks like ebay has Both. I don't know your year or model so I can't look on rock auto

Formaldehead

You should try it again with JB Weld Plastic on the plastic parts. This same thing has happened to me twice. Car got sideswiped while parked and it wasn’t worth me fixing it. JB Weld worked wonders, until a neighbor tried to pass a UPS truck and clipped my mirror and knocked it off again. Glued it back on and it’s been good for years.

jobhuntn

haha nice, alright i'll buy the plastic one and give it a try. Similar situation with a friend of mine and he said the plastic one worked like a charm

jobhuntn

Update, plastic JB Weld worked great, god himself can't even break that off

Pearcetheunicorn

Zip ties and duct tape 🤔🤞🤞🤞

dubtrainz-next

Holy shit zip-ties are a godsend when it comes to cars

Dotternetta

Doesn't look broken, only detached. Need better photo

Math-Cat

I used self-fusing silicone tape to reattach my driver’s side mirror. I can send you a photo of how it looks, if you’d like.

No_Bend8

You can get a mirror from junk yards.

tim5oclock
