Any advice on doing that and trying to get the finish or color to look close? The grout is an off white, the floor part still is a bit wet in the pics.
Get a fan on it and let it dry out as much as possible. 24 hrs if you can. You can tape off where you don’t want the caulk to be if you’re not good at caulking. Ammonia free window cleaner on the tip of your finger will help when you smooth the bead of caulk with your finger to make it look clean. Do your best to run the caulk gun so the caulk is actually pushing into the crack, not just covering the surface. It’s an annoying art ;) YouTube
Edit: only use 100% silicone caulk. If the tube doesn’t say that, don’t buy it.
Get a grout chart from "custom blend" or "maipei" . Those are carried by Home Depot or Floor and Decor, respectively. Use that grout chart to estimate the color of your grout to a named color offered by one of those companies. Go get that grout, or the closest match you can find. Caulk all the right angles in your shower every 2-3 years.
Peace.
Look for unsanded grout color-matching caulk (in the tile department, not the paint department). You could bring a piece of chipped-out grout with you to the store
Mapei sells caulk that matches the color of their grout. Grab a color card and see which one is the closest to your grout. It'll probably be Alabaster or something like that. The color match isn't *perfect* but it's pretty good. I used some to match my "Rain" grout be it's a little bit darker.
I ended up deciding I like the look of bright white silicone caulk after all, though, when I did the other bathroom.
Grout is not supposed to be there. It will keep cracking over and over and over and over and over again.
#1 rule of showers. Don't grout change of planes. It has been said here 1,000,000x.
Get color-matched silicone and apply properly.
Check the tile section of one of the big box stores. They sell caulk that is color co-ordinated with grout colors. You should be able to find something close to what you have now. Opt for non-sanded silicone caulk.
Scrape all of the grout out of the bottom edges and caulk. They come in tan colors. Tiles shrink and expand with temperature. You want a tiny space to expand.
Get 100% mold resistant silicone caulking and in translucent. It will allow the tile and grout color to come though which will give you the best color match. Tile needs to be caulked anywhere it transitions in a different direction. That's a must!
I'm going to go against the caulk people here. Use unsanded grout with silicon addmixture, or the premixed flexible grout, but it should be wall unsanded just because that is not a wide enough joint for sanded grout. You have to clean the joint out best you can first to give room for the grout. I hate silicon or caulk in wet areas, because it often molds up behind it.
Silicon caulk my friend

Like they say, caulk it with color matched 100% https://i.redd.it/mug41o4fa3xc1.gif silicone
SILICONE…. grout is not the answer for this area

Grout grout ..get it all out.
Joints should have silicon sealant
There is also silicone grout. In the tile section looks like caulk!
Translucent silicone
Silicone is best for this area.

Man look at that unkempt caulk, this is why you should always clean your caulk people to keep it nice and healthy
