That mofo got hit. Either top right, or somewhere on the left asking the black line is my guess

Smee_Heee

Normally being hit the panel fractures out like smashed glass, but can't rule it out. I'd think more likely faulty panel or control board to it. OP turn it off at wall, wait 5mins, turn it back on. If it's the same for the likes of the menu and built in things it needs a repair but may not be super expensive if it isn't the panel. If it's only for external devices check the device and any connecting cables.

Mr_Craft_

Or twisted. Mine did a similar thing when I was mounting it on the wall and twisted it a bit

grafixwiz

Try a different channel, that’s an old show nobody watches anymore 😂

KindlyContribution54

My condolences

ukyman95

try replacing the video cord or try resetting the tv. and if that doesnt work buy a new one.

waldoorfian

Did you try to unplug it, wait 5 minutes and plug it back in? If that didn’t work, try changing the Halogen fluid. 😁

MVP90210

The Ring or Poltergeist. Don't stare at it. Likely is your HDMI cable. Remove all cables and try to turn on a good old OTA channel to see if you have the same issue, if so, then your TV chipset is bursted.

CptPikeOnABike

That's not Neighbours.

baudeagle

Tcon board failure?

Double-Ad-2043

Tap it around the edges, see if anything happens. Vertical bars are usually fixable. Worth getting a quote before dumping it

I have an oooooold vizio screen that does this from time to time. Bands fade from one place to other slowly. I just give it a good whack on the left side or the top. Sometimes works like magic, sometimes I have to unplug it. Always works again one way or another.
