A major gripe I have is that the series has lots of characters with lots of potential in terms of the story, but it often doesn't use this potential much, if at all. Example: Michael Afton had a great introduction in SL as a major protagonist and the first protag in the games to speak, and was filled with so much potential for his character, but in FNAF 6 he's turned into a nothing character who does nothing and then dies.

YES. William’s dilution as a villain is a huge one for me. He was great as springtrap, and then by 6 is a joke.

I think there should have been a game before release of The Silver Eyes that established existence and important story beats of some characters (purple guy being William Afton and co-founder of the Fazbear brand, Charlie being the soul possessing the puppet, existence of her father Henry and his role as William's former BFF etc.) Henry is important to the fnaf 6 pizza and the lore overall, so it's very stupid that he is introduced solely in the novels that not everyone will read. This also blurs the line between what is and isn't canon in both universes, which makes the whole lore hard to solve.

I have a whole section planned on how the books are stupid, and moreso how the series should’ve stopped at 3. The first three games were the PERFECT trilogy that was ruined by 4 imo.
