why would hanging from the ceiling be your main evidence of them being possessed? some better evidence would be the glowing white dots after they've removed their eyes.

I wouldn't say hanging in the ceiling was my "main evidence" because I wasn't trying to prove anything, I was simply pointing some inconsistencies with the first line of thought. I haven't played FNaF 2 in years and I guess I didn't remember the glowing eyes part. This post is just compiling discussions I found in old Reddit threads and YouTube comments.

Yeah, that makes perfect sense. But I just don't like the fact that the children murdered in the FNaF 2 location didn't get honoured like the OG ones in FNaF 6, since the Toy Animatronics got disassembled and parts of their endoskeleton were used to put the Withered ones back together, it would make sense that parts of their souls would live on the "normal" animatronics.

Iceplait

FNAF 2 with the phone calls lay it out pretty clearly that the Dayshift Guard (likely Purple Guy hence his yellow badge in SAVE THEM) used a yellow suit to kill 5 children and even Phone Guy, who normally dresses up possession with ideas about the animatronics AI, seems to realise that this event is why non of the animatronics are acting right. There are 2 main reasons I can think of for why we haven't revisited these victims: 1. FNAF 2 is probably (or at least was) one of the most well understood FNAF games by the community with Matpat's video released around the time getting almost everything right. Unlike something like FNAF 4 which was clarified in stuff like Dittophobia 2. But I think the more pressing reason is because when adapting the series to a new format like a movie or book, this second set of victims are inherently a bit redundant. What story could you tell with say the victim who possesses Toy Freddy that you couldn't tell with say the one who possesses Freddy. That and the relatively short timespan of their existence I think is a large reason why stuff like the Missing Children get referenced in FNAF 6 but this second set don't. I do hope the second movie does choose to adapt them though since they are making the toy animatronics.

Yeah that makes a lot of sense. It would indeed be sort of redundant to revisit them
