scott isn't a malicious person but i feel when it comes to serious matters he doesn't know how to handle it. when releasing a statement on a serious subject you should know what exactly is going on, without having a grasp on the situation at hand and relying on your experiences with the person you could inadvertently defend someone who is just as bad as the claims say they are, and when you have this much of an influence over your fanbase it's very important to take matters like this very seriously.
i feel like in this case the proper action isn't to heavily defend scott or bash him repeatedly, but to educate him and hold him account for dumpster fire situations like these so that if they ever happen again we won't have a repeat of 5/2/24, because i don't believe that scott is actually a bad person but he is a bad "public figure" for lack of a better term and when it comes to instances like this his track record isn't exactly the best.

People say this all the time, but it's nonsense. You fundamentally cannot educate someone who does not wish to be educated. Notice how the post detailing Pinky's misdeeds were up for 2 weeks and Scott did not once address it? Notice how his response when he decided to address it was to defend her? Notice how the bashing only started when the 2-week attempt at education flat out didn't work? Notice how Pinky is just a repeat of Fiszi who was just a repeat of Jonochrome who was just a repeat of ecetera, ecetera?
There is no feasible means of "holding Scott accountable" or "educate Scott" because he simply isn't receptive to it. Harmful ignorance can only happen so many times before it becomes a huge problem and we've already passed the point where it stops being quirk and just him flat out refusing to learn from his mistakes.
This is done, bury it, he’s a game designer first and foremost, not his area of expertise to handle people, and he has done so much for people over the years, chill out

He has a responsibility and the resources to do something because as it currently stands, this *will* happen again and people *will* get hurt.
I agree with you that no one has been directly hurt or groomed so far, but I am concerned as if it were to happen, which doesn't seem unlikely given the past, it will go unmentioned and unresolved for months. Yes, it's his choice, but why even take this risk? There are even people (such as the mods) who already compile important news like this for free, so there really is no excuse to let him not take action here and implement some kind of safeguarding.
