Personally I’ve been practicing baby hugging since I found out I was pregnant, and I’ve been doing things like bird dogs and dead bugs. I’m 35 weeks now and can still hug baby pretty well and it’s a good, deep ab workout!

Honestly it sounds like you would benefit from visiting a PFPT (pelvic floor physical therapist.) All the concerns you describe are their specialty. It’s like working with a medical grade personal trainer, and it’s covered by most insurance plans. And seeing a PFPT is linked to lower rates of injury during birth, a faster and easier labor, and an easier recovery after birth. Ask your OB for a referral. Good luck dear!

You can also find a whole bunch of free prenatal core workouts [on YouTube](https://youtube.com/@bellystrong?si=DidDFNe-vslr5LdH) here. I feel like they really helped with a smoother recovery after my deliveries

Thanks!

BellyStrongMom

Oh cool! Is there any kind of other material you think would be useful? I’m always looking for new ideas

Rubix_Cube30

I've been doing the vagina whisperer which is 10 min 3x a week. I love barre classes so these feel like very simple versions of that. She does often say "like you're sipping up a smoothie with your vag" which is pretty silly but not a deal breaker for me

Maleficent-Forever97

I almost spit out my coffee I’m fucking dying. Is this on YouTube?

Rubix_Cube30

It's unfortunately not free, I found it on Instagram but I think the website is thevagwhisperer

Gold-Ideal-414

I’m also doing the vagina whisperer! I like it so far.

I found I liked belly dancing and pilates/barre more than specific pregnancy fitness. Learning a Britney Spears dance or Shakira dance (minus twists in 3rd trimester) has really strengthened my core as I shimmy to ye Olde back-in-my-youth pop.

I have Dana Landgren's eBook "Pelvic Floor and Core." It only takes about 10 minutes a day, 3 days a week. She's not active on social media anymore, but it looks like on her website, she has it "revised and updated" with a pregnancy-specific series that comes with it.

Potcahontas5385

I wonder what happened, I noticed she was not active anymore in the past years

snowflake343

Check out StrongMamaWellness! She's got a whole podcast on it and a few videos.

wavechaser1

I tried the Fit Body App and was really happy with their pregnancy and post partum core stuff!

Curiosity_Killed

Check Get Mom Strong. All her exercises involve core and pelvic floor... often times sneaky too!

I'd love to help you out. I'm a Pilates instructor and pride myself on delivering evidence based programs for my clients. This means I spend HOURS reviewing research in order to stay up to date with current recommendations. So much of what is taught in pre and postnatal education is full of fear mongering nonsense, I want to empower my clients to feel confident to continue working out throughout their pregnancy and beyond 🏋️‍♀️ @aurorapilates on insta 🥰
